I tried for years to get my husband (a pack rat) to clean out the garage, but I was thwarted each time. The size of the job was just too daunting for the two of us. I contacted Dina at Organizing Concepts & Designs who discussed needs and expectations. We decided to schedule the job over two days...more expensive to be sure, but it allowed for us to be a bit more thoughtful about what we kept, gave away, and threw away. The team (4 people) who came to do the work were professional, had great attitudes, worked very hard, and struck a good balance between support and encouragement when deciding what to keep and what to discard. During the job, they suggested using vertical space to create more room below. They went to Home Depot, purchased plywood to put up in the rafters as a base. They trimmed the wood to fit perfectly in the space. We added a tremendous amount of storage for those items that aren't used often. They also suggested shelving to better organize the space. They went to Home Depot and purchased the shelves and assembled them. This was an expensive project, but it was truly worth every penny to me to have an organized space where we know exactly where everything is. I'm a return customer. Organizing Concepts & Designs is a one stop provider of support during the most stressful moments of life. The last time I engaged OCD was when I needed to clear out my late sister's condo. Dina asked me what I needed help with, and she sent a hauler, and people to move out furniture, clothing, framed art and small sculptures, kitchen gear, everything left behind, to go either to charities or the landfill; and later a cleaning crew that wiped down all the walls, windows, floors - to get the condo ready to sell. But I know Dina's business does more. Recently I was moving from a second story two-bedroom apartment in a building without an elevator, to a one-bedroom apartment, and had to downsize quite a lot. I texted to Dina and explained my situation. She set up help for me packing, referred me to a mover and hauler, and finally, unpackers. Packing assistance was more complicated because I needed help deciding what to keep, and what to set aside to be hauled away after the mover took the things going to my new apartment. The haulers were kind and helpful when they arrived. They helped me down the stairs with items that were left behind after the move (my fault, not the mover) but I felt completely comfortable that Amanda, Janet and Leslie were cranking away at the new apartment  - Amanda even took my dog for a walk at Noon.  I am amazed! I'm not normally a neat nor tasteful person - but my new apartment looks like a picture in a magazine . Leslie hid out in my closet most of the day - and it's amazing. She sorted through my dresses, purses, skirts, jeans, belts, shoes - everything - and now I can see them. I had a vague plan about putting a chest of drawers in the living room, and her execution of it is better than I expected; the same with placing folded t-shirts on bookshelves, she even noticed that I have a collection of black t-shirts separate from the colorful ones - it was clear that she was thinking about me, the client, and not just getting past this day and moving on to the next job. We were incredibly stressed about packing up our kitchen for a remodel, since most of the items would be sitting in boxes for a while and I wanted to make sure the boxes were organized in a way that makes sense. Dina and her team just finished playing a pivotal role in guiding us through one of life's most stressful rights of passage: downsizing! In our case downsizing involved identifying every task required to move us from a 3400 sq ft house into an 1121 sq ft suite in a new retirement facility. All under the time constraints of a 30 day escrow compounded by a late turn on. Every aspect of this project was handled with extreme professionalism by her knowledgeable staff. The guidance we received not only expedited the project but enabled us to deal with the emotional aspects of deciding what to keep, what to donate and what to trash. Amanda and Leslie did a magnificent job in getting our stuff identified and organized for the move and the subsequent unpacking in our new place. I found Dina while looking for someone to set up an estate sale for me. Dina tag-teamed with the estate sale guy by cleaning up everything after the Estate Sale ended. Would I recommend or use Dina again, ABSOLUTELY! Why would I recommend her so highly? She organized all of the people that needed to come to the house to pick up items within the house, in garden sheds, outdoor patio and garage. She and her team sorted through everything, determining what would go to Junk, or could be donated. Dina was able to help me donate to three different places. The same day she did her job, I received donation invoices, AND, she arranged/scheduled a pickup for me from Habitat for Humanity. She was quick, efficient, continually communicated with me to keep me updated, asked me to confirm if I wanted to keep specific items or not rather than just tossing them. Dina and her team did an amazing job of moving my elderly mother from one apartment to another in her senior living residence. I was so worried about the move and wanted to make sure everything looked like it did in her old place.
