So it took me awhile to write this review but I had West Coast Estate Liquidators come and look at my aunts' house a few years ago. She died very unexpectedly and she was a hoarder with basically two small houses. He went through the house and let me know that it really wasn't worth an estate sale. He also gave me a referral to someone who would help me clean out the house and possibly would give me a pay out. As you might expect with an estate sale, timelines are often compressed and availability doesn't match your requirements. Fortunately, with West Coast (Brian), they were able to accommodate our urgent need. What made things more challenging in our case - we were managing a Camarillo sale process from Northern CA. Brian came from a referral by a friend from their business colleague. We never met in person. He was upfront, direct, and said what he could/could not do. One objective was to have the house cleaned out by end of sale and that was easily accommodated. On the good news front - 1) our target sales goal was exceeded (obviously hard to predict); 2) follow-up on the sale was prompt (next-day report); 3) check delivered by mail before end-of-week with a reasonable-enough accounting of what was sold; 4) the house was clean and ready on the Monday following sale. Overall - exceeded expectations on all fronts. Interestingly, because of my feedback to family members...I immediately received an inquiry from someone that will need a estate sale at some point in the future - I had no problem providing additional detail as to why I would use West Coast Estate Liquidators again. I asked Brian to handle a lot, do so quickly, and do so while I was not able to stay in California. I do not have much experience with estate sales, but just picked up a few things at a neighborhood estate sale. The home and its furnishings were staged with care and easy shopping. The items were fairly priced and the group did a great job of making sure everyone was safe and "social distanced" with masks and gloves were provided for the shoppers. read more
