In 2012 or 2013, I was experiencing severe pain in my lower back. I expected to have these spasms…read moreabout twice every year and it took about six weeks to calm down and make life bearable again. On this particular occasion, it wasn't showing much improvement over the six weeks and I was desperate for relief. I found Back Clinics of Canada on the internet and scheduled a free consultation, bringing my X-rays with me. I met Ron who explained in detail what was going on and how he could help over 20 sessions. I agreed to move ahead on the spot though it was not inexpensive. However, life without a functioning back is no fun at all so I rationalized it as an investment in myself and my future happiness.. The first three 22 minute session were noticeably painful but by the time I left the clinic I was no longer in pain. By session six I could feel a real improvement and I looked thereafter forward to each session. It was fun to talk with other patients while in the heating area and to hear about and see their progress as well. Almost everyone I spoke with had a similar experience as mine, real improvement after half a dozen sessions. After session 20 I was given some exercises to do. I did some but not all of them but I also did older back exercises that I was familiar with. The long and short is that it is now six or seven years later and I have not had a single lasting spasm during that time. Occasionally I overdo things and my back will hurt for a day but I've never been close to the situation I was in for many years before doing the program. The exercises are key and I believe they've helped me strengthen my back to the point where I won't have severe back pain again. So while the program is not for everyone and is costly, it's a great option for those who don't know what to do next. Surgery is something I would never want to have and knowing there is an option that can actually reverse back pain and keep it that way, is something I am truly grateful for. That's my story and every word is true.

Every other review site rated this clinic very highly so I decided to call here and make an appointment. Dr. Matthew was very welcoming and easy going. He was very engaged in learning my health history and how I've been suffering with chronic back pain for years. He completed his examination, which included a good amount of objective measures that we could compare to after some treatment. I was very impressed with his explanation about my problem and his approach to treating me for it. It made total sense, with a simple straightforward approach that would be reasonable and easy to manage. I received my first chiropractic adjustments on my first visit and could feel improvement immediately. On my second visit he introduced some stretches and strengthening exercises that I could do each do to support the treatment and progress as quickly as possible. I made a second follow-up appointment and low-and-behold - he was trying to sell me on a year long "better living" program upwards of 3.5k. When I insisted and only said I was here to be on a pay-per-session basis, he kept trying to insist that I would need the WHOLE program to feel better. Needless to say I never returned and went elsewhere. I don't want to be conned because I'm desperate to be out of pain. HE is con-artist!

Little did I know that I was in for a big surprise. There was no upfront disclosure of additional fees and no communication of these fees via email or letter. When I walked in to try to clarify the issues, I was made to feel as if I didn't know what I was talking about. The diagnostic was incorrect, and it felt as if the practitioner was in a hurry to get me back to work. I would never return to this clinic and any of the practitioners there.

At previous chiro offices my apts have always been less than 3 min and they just did the basic adjustments. Not dr loomba! She takes her time with you and will really work on the areas needed.
