I have been trying to get a billing issue resolved with them since 2023 and Jasmine sent me to pre-collections then told me it wasn't in collection. I had moved didn't receive a bill. She said she was going to rebuild my insurance company and send me an email that I'm not collections and have somebody named Stacey ? give me a call which never happened and intern I got another phone call from the collection agency. These people do not tell the truth. They do not build correctly. They do not get back to you in a timely manner And they have a liaison when they're not in the office. I forget her name, but she's extremely rude and she told me I definitely was in collections which Jasmine told me the exact opposite. Also don't go or call if you want any kind of service just won't happen and will put you on hold for 30 mins or more. He is very knowledgeable and puts you at ease, which helps as I deal with health anxiety. I find the staff at both locations friendly and efficient. Starts off great. Dr Sharma figured out my stomach issues. But the front office was horrible. Lazy, they don't help. It was impossible to get a hold of my Dr. He was always "in surgery" and that he would call back: never ever did he. Just felt like it was an amazing experience up until they did the surgery then it was a wam bam thank you mam vibe. My insurance paid over 3k for everything. So they got the money but I'm still hoping my antibiotics work now. The lady's name that was giving attitude on the phone was "Raylene" horrible service. I first met Dr. Tarakji and the office staff about 4 years ago for a colonoscope and found that I was in good hand from start to finish. Everyone is very professional and Dr. Tarakji takes the time to explain and discuss the procedure before and after with you. My first appt was with Dr. Mourani. The nurse practitioner, Chelsea, saw me first. Asked me a series of questions and was very thorough, polite and knowledgeable. She sat with me for about 10 minutes. Dr. Mourani came in soon after, he reviewed the answered questions I gave to Chelsea. I told him why I was there and he answered a couple of questions. He ordered a needed MRI to diagnose where my pain was coming from and that was needed. After the MRI, Chelsea called me and gave me the results, told me the recommendation and said the doctor would see me in January. Since I was going on vacation, I didn't start the recommended medication fearing I'd have more stomach problems which I needed to stay at home for but I had some questions so I called her office on Monday and left a message of what I needed to ask on the voicemail and asked for a call back. No call back so yesterday, Wednesday, I called and left another message and asked for Chelsea to call back. Today I called again and asked if I could hold for her. The very polite and kind Daisy asked me to hold, then came back and told me it would just be a few minutes. My complaint here was the next response I got from Raylyn who schooled me by telling me that it was not their proticol to have a patient hold for someone, that it takes 24 to 48 hrs for them to call back and that I could not hold for Chelsea, then she hung up! Before she hung up though she did mention I had another appt in January and asked if I wanted to change that appt to sooner. I told her no because I just had some simple questions about what she told me to do and that I couldn't start until I spoke with her. I know Dr. Mourani and the rest of the doctors are good at this practice. Chelsea is knowledgeable and Daisy is a pleasant & kind person to speak with. I rarely write a poor review but when someone hangs up on me after being pretty abrupt, well, just totally unprofessional. December 1, 2023 Thank you Chelsea for your call back this afternoon. Ever since I've moved out of Los Angeles I've had the worst luck finding qualified, compassionate, not inept doctors and their staff. I was excited about this place at first, but I'm finding the same pattern. Inept office staff, lies to you about requesting records from previous doctors so they have an actual fullsome history of your medical issues, then gaslight you when you argue your situation, explain that their opinion doesn't hold true to your medical history which is documented from decades before, by better doctors than they are and will ever be, and infer you and all your previous doctors are lying or are all incorrect and there's unremarkable results by their tests. Hilarious and Funny given my medical history is littered with just that pattern unremarkable that turns unpredictable and then literally becomes a medical emergency. These doctors have zero compassion, ZERO, especially given the specialty patients they work with. It's repugnant the posture they have given the specialty patients their practice caters to. They do not advocate for their patients given this posture and frankly, the attitude the have is bordering on cruel and unusual punishment being foisted on vulnerable patients who they are forcing their faulty "medical" opinion on without a second thought to the emotional toll they are putting their patients through by their negligence and refusal to listen. These people are disgustingly callous. I'm waiting for the professional courtesy of a call back so I can send them the records their staff failed to get and lied about requesting so they can see that their "medical" advice and opinion to me is faulty at best, completely unconscionable at worst, and downright cruel. I'm not a liar. I wouldn't lie about decades of medical history and for them to infer that is beyond unprofessional especially given their inept staff's inability to properly use a records request it seems. How can you treat someone without a proper documented history amd how van you do it when your staff fails to request the records? How do you not care about that? Negligence. Just negligence and that's to say nothing of the cruelty given my situation. Like I said waiting for a call back from someone that gives a rip about this but I sincerely doubt I'll get it. Medical care has gone straight into the crapper here and there's a lot more truth than irony in that statement. read more

It's only because he took so much of his own time to review and analyze all the information I gave him and synthesized it to produce a diagnosis that made a world of sense. He went the ten extra miles which I needed after a two year journey of trying to find out whats wrong with my body. His staff is as nice and as helpful as they can be. I would call them super-friendly and personable and very able to do anything I asked or needed. First time here. Very friendly office. Dr. Mourani is very reassuring. Answered all my questions. Very happy I came to see him.

I went to this office to see Dr. Tarakji. I met with the woman taking stats who said the Dr will be in shortly. Then a nurse practitioner came in and basically did the Dr's job. I saw the Dr for less than 5 mins. After my appointment I went to pick up a prescription and I realized the front office staff had spelled my name wrong even though I handed them my physical insurance card. I also never received an invite to their patient portal due to the error in spelling. The Dr recommended I get an ultrasound and an endoscopy. I scheduled both immediately. I had the ultrasound completed on a Thursday first thing in the am and was told I'd here back from the Dr by Monday the latest. I called on Monday morning and the office confirmed they had my results. I called again on Tuesday and the receptionist said he'd leave a note for the nurse practitioner to call me back. I called again on Wednesday and my results were still waiting to be reviewed by the dr. Because I was anxious about getting my results (and upset I hadn't heard back from anyone) I was patched through to the nurse practitioner who said my results showed I needed a follow up MRI but her hands were tied until the dr could review and he was backed up since he was on vacation the week prior. I cancelled my endoscopy with this office since the level of care they offer is subpar at best. When they let me know that my MRI had been ordered I told them I'd most likely follow up with their affiliated office, their response... terminating my access to their patient portal so I could not access my MRI order. I will be seen by a different and more competent office. This level or lack of care is just unacceptable. I've dealt with many different Dr's offices across Los Angeles and in Pasadena and this has been the worst experience. If you care about your health this is NOT the office for you. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Mourani for many years. This office is a very busy office as is their facility (the office door next to their office) for their treatments and procedures. I never have to wait, an appointment time means an appointment time. They are very respectful of our time! Never has one thing ever fallen through the cracks. He orders tests for things that run in my family just to make sure everything is OK. Any concern I ever have he addresses it and orders tests if he feels appropriate to do so. He never cuts corners, he addresses every issue, never makes you feel as though a concern of mine is not also a concern of his. When I wait too long for procedures I should be having, his office reminds and reminds until I finally give in. When I receive a notification I have a new medical note in my portal I am always amazed at the detail. The older I get the more I worry about medical issues. I know I'm in good hands with Dr. Mourani. read more

This is the worst medical establishment I have ever been to, and I regret ever making an appointment. Even though I have been in pain and constantly are in pain, this facility continued to make me feel like I was a second class citizen. At first they tell you there's a bill for $77, I could not pay it at the time and they said it's okay it'll be on the bill. Got the bill and that $77 is now $144 on top of all the extra fees. Not to mention I called the week before the endoscopy wanting to get all the fees and they did not even answer me. Three months after the procedure they tell me my insurance denied my anesthesia and if I don't pay they're going to send it to collections, I don't even have insurance anymore and they're trying to milk me dry. Horrible, do not go here. Felt extremely rushed, Dr. Mourani barely says two words to you, why did you suggest the endoscopy if it's not medically necessary? Shouldn't you be telling the insurance company why I needed the procedure? Instead I have to tell them why Im in pain? Really? read more

TERRIBLE service. I called to schedule an appointment on my mother's behalf 1 month ago (Aug. 3rd). The woman explained that she will email me a questionnaire that needs to be completed before they will call my mom to set up the appointment. I completed the form and emailed them on the 5th to ensure they received it because I didn't receive any sort of confirmation that it was complete. Waited, waited and called about a week later because I didn't hear back. They said they would call me back. Again, no return call. We waited another week before my mom tried calling. After being on hold for awhile, she was told they would call her in 1 or 2 days. Again, no return call. Now it's been about 1 month with NO RETURN CALL, NO SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. I just tried calling one last time and was put on hold again before I decided enough's enough. I understand doctors offices get busy, but really? 1 month and still no return call or appointment? I wish we could have had the experience that many have said they've had at this facility; unfortunately we'll never know because we are done trying. read more

I'm surprised to read about some of the low rating comments, as I had total different experience. I took my parents to this facility for their EGD and colonoscopy procedures today. I was very pleased with the service and professional care. The nurse staff were very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Specially, nurse Mun, Robert, Annalisa, Moon and Judy were very tentative, and they made sure my parents were comfortable during their pre and post procedures. They were very thorough with explaining eveything. We're very grateful for their TLC! read more
