They took their time to explain everything. It takes about 5-10 mins for the chimney cake to be ready. It was delicious and definitely large enough to share. The Long Version: Crumbl was founded in 2017 in Utah (USA) and expanded to Canada in 2023 and Ottawa got its first location in June of 2024 in College Square. The location I'm reviewing though opened in The Orleans Gardens Shopping Centre (it's actually a plaza) in October of 2025. When Ottawa's first Crumbl location opened, the lines were epic for months. I'm not one to stand in line for food, and especially not for food from a big chain, so I waited until the hype died down and then admittedly lost interest for a while, lol. Then in February 2026 I was spending time with my little nieces and decided to get us a cookie from Crumbl to share (I had already treated them to a donut each at Tim Hortons earlier that day, so I didn't want to overload them with too much sugar, lol, but I'm sure they would have gladly eaten an entire cookie each). I got us the Twix Caramel Shortbread Cookie ($6.29). Although it's larger than your average cookie I still find the price rather high. However the cookie did taste good. The shortbread cookie was very rich and buttery. The caramel was sweet and gooey. The chocolate on top was good and I liked the broken pieces of Twix bars. Overall though it was a bit too sweet for me. I had 1/8th of the cookie. My older neice ate 3/8 and my younger neice ate 1/4 of the cookie. My brother and mother split the remaining 1/4 so the kids wouldn't be too wired, haha. So everyone got at least a little taste. The kids loved it. The adults found it too sweet. The shop is takeout only. They have 2 ordering kiosks where you order and pay and enter your name. Then your name appears on their screen that tells you where you are in the queue. At the counter, I found some cool-looking seasonal offerings but none had any descriptions. When I asked for more information, I did get most of their names and a rundown of their toppings. But I wish the signage had been there in the first place. Even looking past these aspects of the experience, I just haven't been impressed with the actual cinnamon buns. They come in an awkwardly small box, and the plastic silverware on premise is far too flimsy to be used effectively. Eating a cinnamon bun should be the best part, but struggling to eat it really sours the experience for me. And then it didn't even taste very good. I think I won't try it again.

They are very popular so there's lots of turnover which means their buns are always fresh and often just coming out of the oven. They are pricey though. Prices have gone up and sizes have shrunk, unfortunately. They are $6.49 each as of April 2024. I don't indulge in these myself too much, but my mom loves cinnamon buns, so I'll get them for her. It's a kiosk in the St Laurent Shopping Centre. It's not in the food court though. There's some seating near the store, but it's literally in the middle of the mall. Service is quick and efficient. Much better than at the grocery stores and even better than places like Cobs Bread. Cinnabon is my favourite place to get Cinnamon buns. Ottawa's first rolled ice cream shop was another location of Roll'd Up that opened on York St in the Byward Market not only in the middle of the Covid Pandemic, but in the middle of winter! I still haven't made it there, but was so excited to see another location open up in Lansdowne Park. And when it was technically Spring, although didn't really feel like it yet, lol, I went to check it out. So the Lansdowne location just opened the last week of March 2022. They had been open for 1 week when I visited. I got a small Strawberry Cheesecake rolled ice cream ($8.95) and my husband got a small Skor rolled ice cream ($8.95). It's pretty pricey, but I think the price includes the "show" they put on as they make it, lol. So they pour the ingredients onto this frozen metal sheet and they mix it. Then they spread it out real thin. Then they roll it. It's pretty fun to watch. The ice cream also tastes really good. Very rich and creamy. I asked for "a lot of whipped cream" and they certainly delivered, lol. You can see my pictures. My husband's has the regular amount of whipped cream and mine has extra ;) Service was very friendly. You order and pay with the Cashier near the cafe and cakes area, then you take your receipt and let the Ice Cream Roller know what your order was. The ice cream takes a while to prepare, so I can see how the wait would be long if it were busy. They sell coffee and tea, as well as cake slices (I think the cakes are from Dufflet Pastries from Toronto). It's a really cute place to hang out or for a date. So glad I got to try rolled ice cream!! Street parking only (if you can find any), or you can use one of the paid parking lots nearby.
