They are completely incompetent! I have had to pay delinquent penalties on property taxes because they can't even process simple payments. When the tax payments were returned to them because of their error, they neither re-issued the payments nor notified me nor credited my account with the returned money. I had to stay on them every step of the way to get the taxes paid and as of one month later, they still have not credited my account with all of the returned money. The supervisor I spoke with, David, was completely unconcerned while his parakeet screeched in the background. I've been trying to gain access to my account for 2 months. Finally did, and got locked out again. Have never once talked with a real person, 40 minute wait times when I call, the call drops, I have to re-enter the call queue, which then drops again after 40 minutes, and so on. I get auto-generated email responses that do not solve anything. This is just to get into my account that was rolled over from a prior account. This company (originally as Payflex) has been a constant nightmare for my FSA. Things roll over with their depts not properly handling them until they try to tell you the dates are passed for it to be handled. KEEP A DOCUMENT TRAIL WITH THEM and expect to waste hours and hours every other time you try to use your benefits. At this point it's obvious that they use tactics to NOT pay the claims from your account. I'll be investigating who has a class action started against them as I am sure someone already does. Better communication. You must send receipt and explanation of benefits for EACH fsa debit card transaction. I got a letter about it 6months later, submitted the info, online through their system...2weeks later they LOCK my card. Wo notice, i call them and they are "taking avg of 2-3 weeks to process claims. So i submitted a dentist bill of 356, with all the proof. Nothing, 3 weeks and they said they mail a letter and if i did direct deposit it would be quicker, but i have to do via my employers website?!! They already got my DD info. But ther was a link to ho back to inspra website to put in bank info. Then it took another 3 weeks to get it back. Im never using inspra financial again, ill just get a 3rd party fsa card like from other banks separate from inspra. Summary, Requires ridiculous info for every fsa debit transation, then looses it, delay payments to increase their interest on their collected premiums. I'm only giving them one star because 0 is not an option. Trying to transfer money from them to Fidelity they have had the transfer since Feb 10 and today is the 20th. I have to call them to get them to transfer. Even the folks at Fidelity said they are notorious for late responses. As soon as I liquidate this account I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. This company has me extremely nervous. I have been on the phone with them countless times, (every hold time has been over an hour and a half). I finally spoke to an agent who gave me a case number. I called back a week later to follow up on the case number....and there was no response or follow up. This has got to be one of the worst transitions ever. Old employers 401K got transferred to them so now I am forced to deal with their ineptitude. I get weekly letters from them but every time I try to go on the website to "log in" the website is down and tells me to call in. Then every time I've called in it's been a 2hr+ wait. At this point as soon as I can catch them on the line or the website works I will be transferring everything with them to another company. If i could provide 0 stars, or negative stars, I would. This is the worst, most poorly run financial institution I have experienced in my life. I went to file a better business bureau complaint and not only are they not an accredited institution via BBB, they also have over 32 complaints filed against them without any response and a grading of "F". It started where i could never access the portal to see my funds or make any claims. There was constantly an error I was told that it would resolve. My information was via Payflex - thank goodness I dont have investments left there other than my dependent care FSA. I submitted and received approval for the funds in March 2024 for June 2023 expenses. I maxed out my dependent care FSA and as of today, 12/12/2024 the money has still not been deposited into my account. I was given the run around multiple times, first saying that I didnt have an account linked (I did), then that I needed to fill out a direct deposit authorization form (which I did). Then it was that a voided check was needed. All items were provided. I was told countless times my funds would be deposited - only for them not to be. Today I called and continuously was told the deposit would post tomorrow. I was told that several times prior to Oct, and 4 times since Oct citing internal issues. Said internal issues were escalated Oct 15th and my money was said to be deposited that next day. Run. If your company uses this institution - invest elsewhere. If you have an HSA, great, you'll have a card but you better hope you have no money left or you'll be charged fees and never be able to close the account. read more

I submitted a claim for something I have submitted claims before with every other administrator I've ever had using an FSA the claim has never been denied. However, in spirit financial wants me to jump through ridiculous hoops to get the exact same coverage reimbursed. Every time I speak to a different agent or supervisor I get a different answer and all of them are incredibly condescending. I don't have a choice since this is the company my employer chose to handle our Flex Spending account. They have been giving me a lot of grief over unfairly denying my claim and threatening to block my card if I don't pay them back. It's not like I owe them, the money is from my paycheck and it was used for my son's dental procedure. They kept denying my claim even after sending them the insurance EOB and the doctors notes on necessity of care. I still have at least $1200 in my account that I'm afraid that I might lose as they are threatening to freeze my account if I don't pay them back the amount they have paid earlier and this is money I don't have. Out of nowhere I got an email saying my account has become overdraft and I have 3 business days to add funds or they would sell my stock (which was down about 25% at the time). I never even wanted to use this company but my account was sold to them. They could have notified me when it happened 5 months ago, but chose to wait until the last minute instead. To start with, their site has blocked my laptop and there is no one that can help me resolve this, so I can only use my iPhone. When you call them, the system takes you through a multi-level menu, asking technical questions about the type of account that you have, if you don't know the answer to any of them, you are out of luck. When you finally get to someone, their English language score may range anywhere form a 3 to a 5. So, you cannot expect them to understand the nuance of what you are telling them. Also, they may or may not know the correct answer to your enquiry, so you will get different answers to the same question, depending on who you will get. You can also rest assured that they will reject your claims on arrival, and look a reason to reject it. Afterall, if they keep you from using your use-it-or-lose-it funds, it all goes back to the employer, and I believe that's one of their selling pitches to the employers. Every transaction, you ask for us to fax you in an EOB, or receipt. How is the card even making things more convenient. Its easier just pay and send you all the reciepts, because we have to anyway. Have had FSA for 12 years now, my husbands company just switched to Inspira this year. NEVER have I had so many issues. It used to be a simple a process of using the card, and done. If your employer selects Inspira, you have my sympathy. I suspect that they essentially STEAL $ by blocking employees' ability to spend their own HSA funds. In other words, Inspira blocks you from paying your legitimate health bills with every imaginable inefficiency and administrative run-around. Then, you end up not spending the money (spending your taxed income instead). Then they KEEP your money, likely sharing your stolen money with your employer. If I could give zero stars, I would. When Inspira took over PayFlex, I lost access to my account information online. I created an account using my personal information, and it said I have no active accounts, which is incorrect. When I call in using my personal information, I can get my account balance. There is something wrong with linking information in the website. I submitted an online help request 2/8. I received an email back the next business day confirming I do have an account, but then they requested some additional details. I provided the details same day. Fast forward to today (2/13), I received an email saying that I need to call or SUBMIT A TICKET VIA THEIR WEBSITE, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID TO BEGIN WITH. I have currently been on the phone with them for 23 minutes and SO FAR "Sherry" has been unhelpful. She just told me she was GOING TO CREATE A TICKET. To call this the run-around is an understatement. The absolute worst customer service imaginable. read more

I do not recommend Inspira. they are the worst. it took me 1 month and 4 phone calls to substantiate a dental claim. I followed everything they asked by submitting a receipt and copy of dental claim. they spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with my dental office. claim was for about $3100. the one time I asked for a supervisor. they were all busy. she called back 6 days latter. their customer service is in India and they do not understand their business. they still owe me $100 from 2023 because of a credit posted last minute and they refuse. I wrote a letter to their CEO filing an official complaint more than 2 weeks ago. yet to hear back. they are not following federal government CFPB regulations. next stop is to file a complaint with them. read more
