The tour with Tiaj was truly a wonderful experience and I can't express the gratitude that I have for her and the Inspire family. From the moment I entered and inquired about renting an apartment, Tiaj was friendly, inviting and immensely helpful. She was able to take time to show me some options and chatted with me about my needs during the tour. Upon learning about what my unique situation was, she was able to suggest the most amazing and cost benefiting option for me. In less than 24 hours, I was on my way to having a date I would be in my new home. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking to move. The environment is amazingly well maintained, the amenities are extensive, you feel like you are home from the moment you are greeted and you can tell from the professional and genuine demeanor of Tiaj and Michelle, they absolutely love what they do and stand behind the building and ownership..... and most of all, the residents. I like that is downtown. I like the amenities, especially the view, but the apartment itself looks like a jail cell.

This is a beautiful property! Ask for Adriana to give you a tour around this property. I was able to see four Different Apartment homes and take advantage of their special Saturday afternoon. I look forward to my move-in next week. My favorite part about the entire property was that it's one block from the Riverwalk and tons of stuff to do outside! I moved out 3 years ago after Greystar took over and ruined the place. I recently received a hit on my credit report for a collection from Greystar ...three years later. I contacted Inspire and was told to contact the Greystar corporate office. I contacted the Greystar corporate office and was told that it appears my final utility bill went unpaid. I told the corporate office I was certain that I paid it, however, three years have gone by and I have no way to prove that I did (I don't keep any of my receipts or statements past 24 months). The corporate office told me that the bill had now been sent to a third-party agency for collections. I asked why they waited THREE YEARS to send this to collections without attempting to contact me. I was told they did attempt to contact me at my email address. I asked what email they had been emailing and the email they had was missing one letter!!! The idiots (Tammy or Suede) at Inspire had entered the wrong email when they sent my final bill and close-out to the Greystar corporate office. Do not rent here. They are incompetent. Additionally, they'll offer incentives for writing good reviews. They made that offer to me. I would read very carefully the favorable 5-star reviews and see how detailed the reviews are (if the reviews are not detailed, that probably is an indication that the reviews are not sincere). read more

I toured here and loved the great location downtown, I am wanting a different type of community so I have been looking everywhere and wanted to check out a location downtown. Loved the community and the way the property was designed. I really liked the staff the office was so welcoming and smelt good. Thats a weird thing to say but it is something I would remember. As I write this (midday Thursday) I'm still waiting for an update on when maintenance will be responding to a request I placed on Monday. It is a small item, not an emergency, but it is important to me. It is clearly not important to management and staff, as three times I've requested follow through to no avail. I first moved into The Vistana in 2011 and was so proud of my new home. The front office & maintenance teams were outstanding -- professional, friendly, responsive. They knew the tenants on sight and always managed a word or wave or smile. It felt special to live here. It was a community in the true sense of the word. Last year I complained that I had stopped receiving community notifications via email (it had always been this way) and I was told it would be looked into. I inquired again in the Spring, to same result. Mine are not major complaints but I feel they are symptomatic of a more general managerial malaise or apathy. Being repeatedly told, "I'm sorry but ..." with no corrective action then taken is akin to being told to buzz off. Actually I'd prefer the latter -- it's more genuine. I thought I would live here until the day I die here. Maybe I still will, if I pass soon enough. But now I'm looking for new accommodations, something unimaginable not that long ago. Other assorted thoughts: * It's still a fine building in a great location; * just dreadful paint job in halls/doorways -- amateur hour stuff; * parking garage changes have not been positive; * prior to big changes -- ie, the building name change -- community feedback is never solicited; * my utility cost has been lower here than anywhere else in Texas I've lived; * important amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, wifi café, etc) seem to sit out of commission longer than is necessary; I expect whoever from Greystar posts on these reviews as "Owner" will post on this one too, offering "concern" and vowing to "pass it on" to the management team (where my words will go to die). Then nothing else will happen, nothing will change. Note: it's really not a 1-star property. But this is how I feel after being repeatedly blown off by property staff. Perception becomes reality. Armed security bounces residents at 10 from the gym, pool, and community room. Weird.

I was a long-term resident up until a few weeks ago when COVID concerns limited my travel back and forth to San Antonio from the East Coast. During the nearly 3 years of living there, I had a warm and welcoming experience, mostly. However, over the course of the last 9 months of my stay, the property was sold and a new ownership group continues to fumble through their policies and procedures. Early on, online payments were disabled as the system was being built; maintenance responsiveness declined; and the "housekeeping" group was reduced to nearly zero. This would be expected out of a new property management group that was new to the industry, but we are talking about GreyStar... not necessarily the new kids on the block. As time continued, other changes that were not welcomed by the community were implemented, such as, restrictive roof access. All of a sudden, you were not allowed to hang out, even quietly and alone, on the amenity deck to (I'm guessing) appease the residents who elected to have their apartments facing the amenity deck. The police force or I'm sorry, a security force that the new management team put into place patrolled the deck as if they were looking for escaped prisoners. And then COVID... and many pandemic policy era changes that restricted guest access, which would be understandable if they were put in place for safety reasons. However, as a part of the new management structure, they have outsourced the garage maintenance to a for-profit group that would turn the once guest friendly attached parking structure into a pay-to-play operation. So, if you have friends that visit, often, they could be paying a hefty tag price at the end of the night. I've been gone for a month, about... and I have friends there who say it's getting worse. Not sure what that exactly means, but I'm sure you'll see in future reviews. Finally, on the better side of things, the location is great. It's very convenient to downtown attractions and businesses. It was always a fairly quiet residence, and now even more so given the "stay in your apartment after dark" policies that have been implemented. Garage parking was always difficult on the resident floors unless you had a private spot on the 5th floor or returned home from work before 4 pm, but I expect that will change once the pay to park policies are being enforced. read more

I lived at the Vistana for over 2 years. Overall, its a very nice property. I didn't give it a "5" due to a few things. 1. The gym--it's blah, has a few treadmills and some dumbbells. I never used it. Another thing is the cleanliness of the dog area. The staff does its best tO keep it clean but the tenants could care less. On the weekends it's unusable. For someone that works all types of shifts this is a problem if u need to walk your dog at 2am b/c at that time being outside is questionable. In the summer if u live on the pool side pppl are often out there, loud, all types of hours. If u call security it'll usually stop. I don't know how it'll be now with Greystar under mgmt since there's a security guard on site now so might be better. As for location, it's nice--a lOT to do, walkable. Traffic is a little crazy dduring events so just be aware and plan. There are a few questionable ppl around the neighborhood but usually no trouble. My apartment was quiet. I hardly ever heard my neighbors until right before I moved out I got a new neighbor that was loud during quit hours I could hear but before that, quiet. The price was one of the lowest I found in that area. I hardly ever needed maintenance. I really only needed my water temp fixed once. Aside from that all regular maintenance (light bulbs, filters). Service was on point through Lincoln. Not Sure about greystar. Security is good, 2 points of security for access to the bldg. my guests had issues with the garage a few times. As for greystar I only had aa couple months with thEm. Customer service was fine. Last thing, if u can get a downtown viiew I highly recommend itt. Was my favorite part of my apartment. read more

I've lived at Inspire for nearly 3 years and I'm so happy being here. The office staff are amazing (Tammie, Suede, Michelle, and Tiaj). They listen to you and are attentive to all your needs. The maintenance/house-keeping staff are also great (Gabriel, Hector and Monica). In the summer, I can't get enough of the pool, and the hot tub when the weather cools off. The property is always clean and free of clutter. It's super pet friendly with adorable fur babies coming and going all day. I appreciate all the social events like happy hour, pizza parties and live music. If you're apartment hunting, look no further. This is the place you want to call home. -Trent read more

Pandemic perfect! jaja Welp, the management , staff, maintenance crew and amenities ate amazing. Like it was really nice in the midst of global lockdown w lovely views and beautiful pool. Just make sure to add an additional $300 to your monthly bill and a solid $500 at move out bc they get you w them fees. More than any other place I have ever lived. But, I give them five stars bc they took care of us during that winter storm / armageddon. And Im sure they had their own families to tend to but I felt like they dropped everything to help us. The Assistant manager Suede and The GM Tammie are probably the best managers I have ever living here in San Antonio!
