The braces came off a year ago and I couldn't be happier with my smile, both the look and feel! I had braces in my teens and over the years, my teeth had shifted enough to be really uncomfortable. So at 41, I decided to see if I could make them better. Dr. Housewright told me 15-18 months and 16 months later, my teeth were perfect. He and all the staff were great to work with. When I had concerns with how my teeth were moving they were ready to address it right away. I felt genuinely cared for the whole time. The one thing that could have been improved was availability to trim wires after an adjustment. Several times I had wires cutting me a day or two after my appointment and had to really complain to get them trimmed before the weekend. I don't know how to solve it; just seemed like it would generally be days of suffering if I hadn't really complained. Other than that, the whole experience was really top notch! read more

When i was younger Dr. Housewright was my orthodontist and he honestly caused a lasting fear of the dentist in me. First he required that 4 of my molars be pulled and this caused a narrowing of my palate later on. Later in my life Dr. Housewright thought it would be a good idea to give me 4 tads under no anesthetic which he explained to me and my mom for this procedure you don't need it-which is total BS! This procedure entailed him screwing actual screws into my top and bottom jaw- 4 of them, again under no anesthesia. He said i have no nerves in my bone in these places which i can testify as a lie!! I was in excruciating pain which was ignored and then they applied a thicker wire to my braces to hurry up the straightening process on top of the screws just implanted. I could not eat solids for 1 week and was in the most excruciating pain of my life for 3 days after. Needless to say, he ignored my pain and had me undergo unnecessarily traumatic medical procedures. I've talked about with other oral surgeons and dentists in my area and they have said they are horrified for me that i went through this. Please think of this before signing paperwork allowing your kids to undergo extremely painful and unnecessary procedures that are explained as routine, painless, and easy-- they are clearly capable of lying! Do your research before!! read more

As an adult you are a little hesitant about having to get braces. They run on time. Can you believe it? People comment on how good my braces look. Dr. Wade Housewright is great. He called me the day after I got them on to make sure I was doing okay with them. He said that I would feel like ripping them off. Which is how i felt. He said the first day is the hardest and it will get better. I have completely clear braces in front. I put different colored bands on them. I'm having a good time with them. His staff are not much different. They are knowledgeable, careful, and so kind. They knew my name from the very first appointment, which is one of those little things that helps you, as a patient, feel even more comfortable. I was visiting Denver for the holidays when my glue in retainer came loose, and I needed an emergency appointment to get it fixed so I could eat/talk without discomfort. I called the office and they were gracious enough to fit me in that day. The office was spacious and comfortable. It looks like they have a good selection of drinks and coffee in the waiting room. Everyone in the office was very friendly. My appointment was at 5PM and it seemed like it was their closing time, but Dr Housewright went to work and fixed my retainer in about twenty minutes. I was very happy with the result, and the retainer feels good as new. This was a real life saver because I would have waited until Monday after the holidays were over before offices would open up again. Although I can't comment on what it's like to be a regular patient, they seem to go the extra mile and were friendly and professional. read more

Dr. Housewright and his staff are wonderful. They do a thorough and professional job and my daughter really feel comfortable there. It never seems to hurt and the facility is OUTSTANDING! Video games, prizes, cleanliness, big screen tvs, they have it all. After all these goodies, they still have great prices. I am not rich, so as much as I like Dr. Housewright, I did shop around.
