Amy Hinkel, as my PT- can't rate her highly enough. Her knowledge and unique ability to push forward- building strength, flexibility, while also being exceedingly careful is a rare gift. I always have felt confident in her care and have improved tremendously! And Megan (Wurth) Berrill who has a different scope as a PT adds additional components that are nothing shy of miraculous. I've done better than I ever could have imagined. The owners, Julie and Jennifer are truly fully vested in all of their clients. I waited a year before giving this review as to make sure my pain was completely gone. If you need PT, go see Jennifer at Inspire. I pretty much said RIP to my shoulder, I injured it working out, I couldn't even put a jacket on without pain. Jen mixed up alternative and traditional methods to bring me back. Jennifer is such an amazing human. I really cannot recommend her more highly. Let me give you an idea of the timeline. In July 2018 I was in a car accident and the MRI after the car accident revealed that I had a fractured spine. From July 2018 to January 2019, six months, I saw a neurosurgeon twice, three different chiropractors and about 3x/ week, I tried keto and whole 30, and basically did everything possible, including the chiropractors' home work out rehab programs, using a tens unit, using a decompression table, cold laser therapy, and various rolls and wedges. Nothing really helped, and I was in pain daily. My lower back was just always in pain. It was hard to sleep, it was hard to go to work, use of a menstrual cup and any kind of intimacy became unbearably painful, and the chiropractors had tried EVERYTHING. I went to go see her in Feb 2019 and I was disappointed that her practice does not take conventional insurance, so that is one thing to be aware of. For me it was an upfront paid in full cost, and I didn't have that in February of 2019. But I went back. The lawsuit following my car accident did not settle until December 2019, but it did find favorably for me. My first thought was thank God now I can afford physical therapy. I did not neglect my health over the last year though, I stopped seeing chiropractors because they weren't helping, but I became a vegan and went back to Bikram yoga, which chiropractors had told me to avoid. Chiropractors also told me that I needed to lose weight, and I lost 50 lbs in 2019 thanks to the lifestyle changes I made. However, my pain did not particularly reduce or go away when I lost weight. I got better at dealing with it, I realized that my back pain was severely amplified by hormone fluctuations, and I started taking supplements. But the idea that losing weight will make your back feel better is bullshit and I just want to make that very clear. If I can go back in time I would just go see Dr. Jennifer and I would skip all of the chiropractors. Those six months were a complete waste of time. Jennifer actually took a look at some of the underlying issues. She is a really gentle empathetic kind human. She just leave such an impression, like the good parent that everyone dreams of having. Her bedside manner is simply phenomenal, and she is patient and realistic. Not everyone has the temperament for dealing with the level of vulnerability that comes from openly discussing all of one's issues, particularly with regard to pelvic floor issues. But she emphatically does. I used eight sessions with her over about two months, and I have banked the other two sessions for in case of flareups. But in only eight hour long sessions, she manage to do what six months of chiropractic care did not come close to doing. I went from daily back pain to hormonal back pain. Which I can't say she could have helped with more, as I have also learned that I have endometriosis so my hormonal fluctuations will just always affect me more. My abs are stronger, my glutes are stronger, my pelvic floor muscles are stronger. I have a greater understanding of how my body works and I have a great map for moving forward. I actually want to work out now instead of seeing it as a chore. My time with her was truly transformational. She is accepting, validating, warm, and good, truly a light worker and healer. read more

Jennifer at Inspire is a horrible PT and I would avoid her. She claims to be an expert but yet seems to lack very basic PT knowledge and skills. She attempts to treat conditions that she doesn't have experience in treating. She fails to listen to her patients and she doesn't schedule patients in a timely manner or do any follow up. If you need a pilates instructor, she might fine. But if you need a skilled PT, I would stay away from her practice. She basically has a Pilates studio operating in what is a facility for kids sports. There are plenty of caring, compassionate, and skilled PTs in the area but she is definitely not one of them. She seems to care more about developing her business and advancing her career than patient care. I would look for a more skilled PT in the area! read more

Expensive and 100% ineffective pelvic PT. Be careful what methods they try on you. They are very weak in education. Jennifer would try something different every week. 5 minutes of cupping here, 5 minutes of manual on another visit. Nothing with consistency and never any education to take home. Great service and staff! I have pain from a car accident and Jennifer tried a couple different things to try and help relieve the tension, between using her laser therapy, needling and various exercises and stretches. Was a little nervous trying the needle methods but she answered all of my questions and was very accommodating. After getting regular consistent treatment I started to feel the tension loosen up which was such a relief. They gave me some stretches to do at home and referred me to Back to Life chiropractic to further work on relieving my pain and Michelle was awesome. Would highly recommend! read more

Jennifer does an amazing job at finding the cause of pain & relieving it! She asks questions & really listens to your answers. I originally started seeing her for my wrists. I was diagnosed with CRPS in my wrists 09/16 & went to Italy for treatment with Neridronate Acid because it is only in trials in the US. That being said my hands/wrists were immobile for about 8 months. The CRPS was gone but I was unable to flex them enough to put weight on them. Jennifer was able to return flexibility to my wrists with joint manipulation & other tools. Next was my back. I have 3 herniated discs with sciatica & I was considering surgery. Not anymore. She worked some of her magic & my back is pain free. Then my left shoulder went out of whack. She had me do some range of motion exercises & showed me how my left arm was a couple inches longer. She taped it up, manipulated my shoulder, showed me some exercises to strengthen it & I was good to go. I never really believed in physical therapy. Anyone that I've talked to said it never helped them. Now I know that they just went to the wrong person. read more

I found Inspire Physical Therapy through a recommendation from an office I was previously at for treatment, and I could not be happier with how well I have been taken care of. Amy Hinkel has done an amazing job finding the source of my pain, treating it, as well as instructing me on how to prevent further injury. In dealing with leg and shoulder pain that inhibited me from working out for months, in about 5 weeks I can say that I am almost fully pain-free and aware of the way my body should be properly moving. While coming here, I have always felt that each appointment has been catered to how I am feeling and is extremely thorough. You can tell how much they truly care about their patient's well-being here and will have you back to doing your everyday activities and hobbies in no time! read more

Cannot thank Inspire Physical Therapy enough for the relief from pain they have given me! I have had chronic leg pain for over a year and lower back/psoas pain for almost 6 months.. I went to multiple doctors and 4 physical therapists before I found Jennifer. She is the only physical therapist that was able to properly find the source of pain within 1 session and help me to fix it in under 10 sessions with her. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and wants her patients to be relieved from pain so that they can do the things they love which is so nice to see when most of the physical therapists I have been to want you to be dependent on them. She not only helped to find the source of my pain, but also helped me learn to repattern my movements that would help me perform better in my weightlifting endeavors. Inspire Physical Therapy is hands down the best physical therapy place in and around Southlake, Texas. I was referred to Inspire through a family friend and went for a running related hip problem. I was under the impression that my hip problem was localized just to the one region and was because of poor genetics. However, Inspire, specifically Ms. Amy Hinkel who is FANTASTIC, was able to show me how my running form caused my problem. Ms. Hinkel watched me stretch, walk and run and was able to identify problems in my running gait that was causing my hip to hurt. She then taught me more efficient and safer ways to run and also gave me numerous stretches and pointers to keep in mind for my warm up and actual running workout. I was very impressed by Ms. Hinkel and the overall Inspire experience and to top it off, I was provided with a write-up of the whole therapy session with pictures and access to an app that taught me many stretches. It has been one month since I went in and have had no pain in my hip since. I was introduced to Dr. Jennifer McCauley after the birth of my first child. I have always been very active and in tune with my body. After the birth of my first I realized that my core was extremely weak, I had a bulge around my midsection and was leaking during my workouts. I so distraught and determined to figure out a way to fix it. After speaking to other woman in the community and some personal online research I suspected what I was experiencing was diastisis recti and urinary stress incontinence. My yoga instructor passed on Jennifer's name to me. I met with her and right away I felt as if there was hope and with time and the proper safe exercises I would have my body functioning correctly. Jennifer was so patient with answering all my questions and making sure I understood the larger picture. Fast forward to my second baby and I am still using my notes to perform the exercises that Jennifer gave me after my first baby. I recently saw Jennifer for my chronic low back pain. I have been an RN for over 30 years and my career and a very ill-advised exercise plan in my 20's left me with a disc injury that for years I thought was a pulled muscle. I have had several chiropractors work on me (one for 6 months) without improvement. I have seen Jennifer THREE TIMES and the results are amazing. I literally had improvement the first time. She works to get your body back in correct position, so it can work as it should. Due to the injury, the muscles that should have been supporting my spine weren't, but with some very targeted and simple BREATHING exercises, she is healing me from the inside out. Clinically I am really amazed at the simplicity and effectiveness and she saved me from an eminent path toward surgery. I call Jennifer my "miracle worker". After going down many avenues for help with hip and back pain I have finally found my solution. My hip pain prevented me from sitting in a cross legged position, the pain interrupted my sleep at night and made driving in the car extremely uncomfortable. I cannot recommend Jennifer as a physical therapist any higher. I spent a year dealing with tendinitis in my right leg that caused pain in my lower leg and foot every time I walked. I saw other medical providers but no one was getting me better, in fact I was getting worse and it lead to weakness in the whole right side of my leg and core. I reached out to Jennifer who I had met years ago when she was still finishing up her training. She is an expert at figuring out the source of the problem just by watching your movement. She pinpointed the problem in a matter of minutes and had me feeling the first relief in my pain in months. It took several visits and there were set backs in other areas due to my core weakness but Jennifer was so amazing and kept me moving forward with her expert touch and techniques. She also got me doing Pilates and I have her to thank for no longer having pain in my leg. She is beautiful inside and out and she really knows her stuff.
