I have three kids, all who attend speech twice a week at Jump Start and I've seen most of the therapists there. They are all lovely. They CARE about my kids, their interests, they hug them with genuine love and affection. They treat every single patient whether 1 or 21 with RESPECT. There are 2 locations and it can be hard to get an appointment at first. We were able to consistently able to schedule Tuesday appointments to keep the babies on a schedule. His sessions were on 30 minutes long instead of an hour because he was so young. Shelly taught us different exercises to help him meet milestones and she was always very encouraging. The office staff was the only semi downside. In the beginning they were not the most friendly or welcoming. After continuing to go they started to warm up and become more welcoming. There was one incident around our third or fourth session. When you start you can put a card on file so they can charge you your copay. We had gone there with no problem the first few weeks and then all the sudden I received a text stating I didn't pay for the session and there wasn't a card on file. I am not sure if they confused my son with someone else but there certainly was a card on file and they left a not so great impression to me.

She's been at PediaPlex for approximately 3 years at this point and we are happy with all the staff and services she's gotten so far. The therapists have always been professional and eager to listen to any concerns my husband and I may have. Everyone works together as a team for the best interest of each child. We will continue driving the 40 minute drive 4 days a week to PediaPlex because it's working great for my daughter. When deciding on a therapy center it's important to realize you are part of the team working together for the best outcome. Communication and realistic expectations are essential for any type of therapy at any center to be successful.

My child did not want to engage with the therapist and would try to get out of the room. I cried session leaving there because goals and what they were working on was all over the board. I am a teacher in fact, an early childhood interventionist myself and this was not good practice at all. When requesting my child's copy of his evaluation it has another childs name in the middle of his goals. There were things in his evaluation they never mentioned to me... therapist beat around the bush. They mentioned doing an OT eval so we did and he did not qualify and performed in normal limits in all areas. The paper they gave me the day of evaluation only stated expressive language delay but when requesting the formal copy.. it says MIXED receptive and expressive delay.. I took my son else where and he immediately started talking and had him re evaluated and it was NOTHING like the one I got from this place. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My child is a completely different kid since we left here. THEY TOTAL UNDERMINDED MY KID.
