We love Julie Rinard for our kid's OCD and ADHD. she is level headed, and uses an evidence based approach. Shes the right balance of addressing concerns without over-intervening/over-medicating. Another adult family member had a very good experience with another provider for his intake as well and will be returning to her.
In general, the clinic has been a very good experience. They have a lovely lobby. Privacy is great. We have had no issues with billing. They do have strict no-show policies and they do want more upfront payment for intake. but I was ok with that. Our care coordinator explained it all. This does help ensure they aren't booking a ton of intakes that no-show them.
Billing has been totally within normal range for a private mental health clinic. It is normal and expected to have to keep a credit card on file. Even our pediatrician clinic does this now days.
In healthcare, billing is erratic because of INSURANCE not because of the clinic. So it all depends on your deductible and how quickly your insurance company will pay their portion. every insurance operates at a different speed and everyone's copays/deductibles are different.
So please beware the angry people's reviews. Insurance is usually to blame, not the clinic for unclear costs. Find out what your insurance covers-- if its NOTHING until deductible is met, then expect to pay full cost until you hit deductible. If you have to pay 20% of visit, then you can get an estimate for that cost.
(and the answer, my friends, is universal healthcare-- cut out all the private insurance and things would be so much simpler for everyone! but thats a whole different essay.) read more
