I was in Floor & Decor a few times and finally decided on the luxury vinyl flooring. All I needed was a contractor to install. The Sales Rep handed me this paper for Installations Made Easy. I questioned him about the contractors because I haven' t had success from similar companies. Of course, he recommended it. So I did the request online. In about 2 weeks a Rep from Made Easy called. She said I'd hear from a contractor in a few days. To cut the chase. A few more weeks later, I got a text from the contracto. Didn't know I who it was, just said they could come on a day, they'd be in the area. I said day n time was not good for me. Another week later he texted me again. I said that I have no idea who he was because he wasn't professionally telling me who he was. He apologized, it I wasn't going with him and told him. I never heard from Installation Made Easy either. So I'm looking for a contractor in my area. read more

Installation Made Easy's website promises Customer Pledge reads "Your satisfaction is our first priority". Unfortunately if you are not satisfied too bad. I was told after I ordered the supplies for my flooring project they would contact me to schedule installation, they did not. I had to reach out to them to schedule, however, they subcontract the work out. I received multiple text and email notifications confirming the install date, and responded accordingly; however, the vendor was a no show and Iost a days pay. They then showed up the following morning with no notice when I was at work. I again had to reschedule. When I called the subcontractor they told me that their crew got the schedule confused. When I contacted Installation Made Easy, they said there was a medical emergency and offered me a 5% discount, $45 dollars for my inconvenience and loss of a days pay. However, when it came time to pay they said I didn't get a discount and they had a conversation with the associated that offered it. So basically, they do not stand behind their customer pledge and they do not stand behind their sub contractors. Really a disappointing experience. read more

RUN THE OTHER WAY!!! Lowe's apparently subcontracts installations through installationsmadeeasy.com --my discovery AFTER signing a contract which I mistakenly thought was through Lowes. Nope, not even this sketchy bunch who subcontracts with Premiere Construction and Management out of Cleveland TN. My whole house generator install was crudely done with rough holes in drywall, a transfer switch that is so poorly done so that the inner cover does not fit and a trail of trash in the drive from their open trailer, cutting oil and metal shards in multiple places in the grass, etc. I declined the offer from IME to have the contractor return to "fix things" since their quality of workmanship was far from the code stating "work done in a neat and workmanship manner". Neither of these outfits are rated by the Better Business Bureau and their reviews tell the rest of the story. Uneven shower fixtures, shower door installed Backwards (Yes Backwards) and the master bath shower floor is not sloped enough to ensure fast drainage. Oh yes and what a mess they left, we spent 3 days cleaning up dust and drywall mud from places it should not have been. Do not use the service provider they recommend, Installation Made Easy. Working with them was one of the worst experiences of my life. Floor & Decor recommends then won't get involved when Installation Made Easy screws things up royally. Installation Made Easy acts like they're providing the actual in-home service, but really they just pass the work over to a pre-arranged general contractor. That general contractor will then subcontract the bulk of their work to a subcontractor. In some cases, the subcontractor will subcontract again. The general contractors do horrible work, they lie, they're terrible to work with, and worse in some instances. If you go back to Installation Made Easy, they refuse to do much, if anything, saying they're not a contractor. Installation Made Easy hides behind the fact they're a middle man company that merely helps you find a contractor they hand pick. Bottom line is - stay away from Home Decor and Installation Made Easy. They're all utterly incompetent, and you'll live to regret stepping into the store in the first place. read more

We informed IME that we had yet to be paid my one of their contractors. They did assure us that they paid Floor Xpo for our materials that Floor Xpo installed, stained and finished. However when we kept compliant of still not being paid they continued to state they paid them. They also still do business with Floor Xpo knowing that they are not paying their subcontractors. i have major issue with this. And sadly no one cares that the innocent home owners house is going to have a lien put on it for non-payment. Yet they have paid IME! read more

IME was hired to lay a luxury tile in my home and I had to empty all closets. The help was not prompt, a monogramed robe was stolen, probably when I had to go to get missing supplies that were needed. When I was sure it was stolen I called to complain, the person named Mayra, accused and ranted at ME! There was also a tile chipped in the process. They are supposed to send the original worker t do the repair, but of course he was no longer with the company. Not a surprise. I knew the item would not be returned or recovered, but thought they should know. I have never been treated so rudely by a company. This floor was laid almost a year ago. I have NEVER written a review like this, but it angers me every time I think about it. Sadly, I did not research or look at the reviews BEFORE using them. read more

They have misled lied, disregarded manufacture, specifications, and then tried to bully an elderly couple into lies that they presented. I'm shocked accompany such as floor and decor. Would even consider partnering with a company like this. This is been over a year and we finally had to get involved due to the threats, they made based on the installation. The installation was done by another clown company DRF, who screwed up the installation and then broke the exhaust vent for both our water heater and furnace. I'm beyond livid! I used Installations Made Easy for my floors through Floors & Decor. The floors were put in but the installers weren't very inconsiderate about the mess they were making. Then, I used IME to install backsplashes in my kitchen. We had to cover and remove everything ourselves which was 4 rooms. They sent one person who didn't speak very good English. I had no idea what he was saying most of the time. It was supposed to take 3 days. It took six. My floors are totaled with embedded, dried, grout. I've had to scrape my granite counters to get grout and spills off. Other than my floors being a nightmare, my cabinets are even worse. They are covered with spills and grout. I was given this company as it was recommended through Floor and Decor. I hired this company to replace all the floors and to redo the Master Bath. They then subcontracted the work. which was not told to me. I was on a tight deadline. I was given a completion date. So with that, I scheduled my move in. We had to be out of our rental by a certain date. When the completion date arrived, they we're on no way done. Thankfully I had two weeks left that I could stay at my rental. So I had to call our movers to reschedule our move. The movers had only one day due to another move they had to do. Well the two weeks was up and it was still not done. At that point, I had no choice, I had to move in. I had to to move into a construction zone. And what's even worse, all of our belongings had to be moved into the garage because the floors weren't done. I had another company there doing another job and while they were there, they witnessed on multiple occasions, the company outside smoking dope. I would drive out there to find the crew not even there until 10 - 11 a.m. In the beginning, we were told 2 weeks... It was more like 2 months by the time they were finished. Then, while looking around I found multiple things. Some of the flooring was cut too short so they stack a couple pieces together and attempted to cover it with quarter round. I mean the list goes on and on. There was glue all over my floors. In fact there is still glue on the floors upstairs. They were supposed to come get it off. But the guy keeps blowing me off. Run, do not walk, away from this company. I used them to re-tile my entire house (including removal of the old tile) and install a stacked stone fireplace wall. They contracted out to a substandard local installer and there were multiple issues. When the installer was unwilling to address the issues, IME was of absolutely not help whatsoever. I used Installation Made Easy to remodel my bathroom. It is a very small bathroom and it took them more than 3 months to finish. They would start by tearing out the tub and then not returning for 2 weeks. They hire subcontractors to do the work. Each part including the tile, flooring and carpentry would be a different person and you had to wait weeks in between. The communication from the project manager was non-existent. Before they finished, I had 3 different project managers. Carpenter put hinge on door in the wrong place which damaged the door. They said that they were finished but the baseboard had gaps all around the wall and no shoe moulding. Do not use them. They talk a good game to get you to use them, but are unable to follow through with what they promised in a professional manner. read more

What is the point of this company? Installation Made Easy for who? because it definitely isn't the customer. I used this based on the recommendation from a Floor & Decor Designer in Naples Florida, so the contractor was actually Tri Flooring. First off the IME website system they make their contractors use for estimates, invoices and payment never worked and I ended up having to constantly ask the contractor to just email the info. Also because of this faulty system it was never made clear to me that the customer is responsible for purchasing & getting All of the Materials needed, right down to the screws, and transporting them to the jobsite. This is not the first time I have worked with a tile contractor or otherwise, so this just seemed utterly ridiculous & insanely inconvenient to me, akin to a chef expecting you to bring every last ingredient right down to the salt & pepper to the restaurant in order to make your meal. It is also a requirement that is just wasteful. Wasteful of resources, why do I need to buy a whole big tube of silicone caulk when my small bathroom tile job only needs a small squirt and a decent contractor would have used some from the supply they keep as part of their tools to do a job. And wasteful of my time - going to pick it up and now dealing with getting rid of it responsibly because I don't have room to store such things. Thirdly, the contractor refused to do anything but tile. They would not move or put back my toilet or free standing vanity - previous tile contractors I have worked did both of these tasks automatically. They said the job would take 5 days and it took 10 because they were awful with time management. They didn't schedule the dumpster, even thought I had scheduled their service a month in advance and they wouldn't start doing demo until all the materials were on site - even though I had another bathroom to use. I wanted a herringbone pattern, and this did not change from the estimate discussion, yet the tiler wasted hours not doing anything waiting for the owner to discuss the material requirements & limitations of this pattern with me - they should know better than to hold up an already behind schedule project for a discussion that should take place during the estimate phase. I would give zero stars if I could. I bought flooring through Floor an Decor and they referred me to this company to install my flooring. They are an absolute joke. My LVP lasted about six weeks before it stated cracking everywhere. Installation Made Easy claims they have a warranty plan but they send out some bogus inspector and the inspector claims the problems are because the home is too humid so they don't have to cover it. Mind you....i live in the freaking desert. I wish I would have read this before using them. I will be hiring a lawyer as I'm now out about 10k with floor that has cracks throughout the entire thing. I called and dialed for "already scheduled and have questions" and was on hold for 57 mins without ever reaching anyone. Called back and dialed for initial scheduling. Person told me they also could not reach the team I needed and they left a note in the file to have someone call us back. Never heard from anyone. Called the next day and did the same, that person said they would put a note to have supervisor call reversing my complaint. Never heard from anyone and that was more than a week ago. We will NOT be using this company, couldn't imagine if they installed the floor and we had an issue. They work with Floor and Decor, who then subcontract to someone else locally who hire out labor after that. There really isn't a lot of accountability and we had a number of issues with the install so wouldn't be using them again. My floors, vinyl planks, were put down this week There were a lot of cut outs which meant a lot of cutting and fitting. The work was exceptional. All quarter rounds were cut precisely, showing they took pride in their work. The two men were courteous and polite. When they were finished all appliances and cabinets were put back in place and the floor was clean. read more

I wish I could attach pictures of my walls/baseboards in this post. When the contractor (Nayar Flooring) initially came to my home to take measurements for the estimate, he inquired as to our interest in getting a quote for the baseboards as he offered to sand/paint the baseboards as part of the floor installation project. He advised he would include this in his quote, which he did include in the both the initial quote and revised final invoice. He even emailed me confirming that we were still interested in having our baseboards done, going so far as to ask us about color choice, which you will see in our forwarded correspondence. Then, he informed that he would have a painter contact me directly to make arrangements to give me an estimate. He then charged me for "paint/stain baseboards" on the invoice despite never completing that service. He tried to say in his email response that the line item "paint/stain baseboards" that was charged was actually for any removal and reapplication of our baseboards. Furthermore, his team damaged my wall (picture was attached/sent to him) that he did come to repair but please review his "repair job." (pictures and to install company) I'm thrilled with our flooring; however, I'm extremely disappointed with how I feel we were mislead and charged for baseboard work that did not occur given the amount of money we invested in this install project. I find it frustrating and disappointing to have new flooring with baseboards left in this unfinished condition. The baseboards were put back in crooked and with gaps. Additionally, you can clearly see in the attached pictures that paint has been chipped off my walls as well in their process of installing. I actually consulted an installer from a different company to inquire as to if this is standard, so he recommended I contact a manager. No need to use this service at all as it really doesn't serve any purpose other than taking payents and signing a contract. They did not return calls when I had a problem and the on-hold wait time is ridiculous. Customer service was very unfriendly when I was able to make contact, did not call back as they said they would and did not seem to be on the side of the customer. I have used them twice and both times there were problems with the quote because details of the job were omitted that caused issues. There is no supervision of the work being done by the contractor/owner but luckily when things got out of hand I was able to reach out for help from the owner of the floor company and he stepped in and helped me work through glitches (he was great). TImelines of the order of the work need to be better defined ahead of time to avoid delays in the work time frame. Installation Made Easy provides a shopping list of supplies needed, however details of the job change when the actual workers are onsite and I ended up running out every day on my lunch break to buy more and more items at the last minute that weren't on the list. There is a disconnect between shopping in the store trying to figure out a design and materials needed and the crew down the line doing the actual work. Material needs change. Also, you may be locked into buying through Floor and Decor and that comes with some problems, too if you can't find materials or they are needed from another store, I will hire a contractor with any future projects and work directly with them to ensure projects run alot smoother. Good idea with Installation Made Easy but has some kinks to work out. read more

Worst company ever. Amanda Duchane is the worst leader yet. Hope you don't get caught as I did with a Lowes "Proservice" project outsourced to a shoddy provider. If you're not happy, you end up with the outsourced billing/collections team run by Amanda. Don't expect any discussion, satisfaction or resolution. Shoot, they can't even take account notes or attach documents you send. You get incessant emails and calls - basic harassment. IME doesn't care what happened or if it's fair. Poorly represents her customer - Lowes in this case that I can no longer patron. Fortunately, some of her team is good, but that didn't matter. Let the buyer beware! Where to start with this company. If there was a way to provide a (-) negative star, it would be too long a digit to post. They stand around in the aisles of Floor & Décor like selling popcorn at a baseball game. They promise you the world, except, it must be from another universal, as nothing they promise to you is never done. Their salesperson, who sells you the Dream of upgrading your home, are not even Licensed GC (General Contractors). They tell you the team who will arrive at your home will do the job in less than 5 days; however, only one shows up and not even prepared with the required equipment to do the job. A 5-day jobs turns into a 3-week nightmare. As it relates to the non-contractor and undocumented individuals who they send, never come on time. I guess they use a Sun Dial as 7:00am is not 10:00am; most of these contractors they send will be late to their own funeral. Now for the work quality, subpar at best, when you point out any issues, they promise to fix; however, that never happens, and you are stuck having to hire a real professional to come in and fix the kindergarten work that was completed. Floor & Décor cleans their hands from all issues as it relates to Installation Made Easy, as they advise you "They are a 3rd party Vendor and are not affiliated with Floor & Décor". I highly recommend using someone who is licensed, can provide recent references of work already completed, and never utter the name Installation Made Easy. read more

Complaint!! We needed some upgrade work done in our home, we purchased the material from Floor and Decor in Brookfield WI, who then referred Installation Made Easy to us. Installation Made Easy assigned Crest Wood Homes as our contractor, Who started the job on September 21, 2021. Crest Wood Homes sent unprofessional, unlicensed  and untrained employees to install tiles in our living room and dining room first, from which they waisted approximately 10 boxes of  24'x48' marble tiles of which they replace some. They attempt to lay the tiles in both rooms but every single tile was laid incorrectly. They have made  several damages  to our home during the process. We complained to Kurt through his project manager Christopher re: The issues we were facing, from which we had an agreed upon date to meet for Kurt of Crest Wood Homes to come in and view the damages. From there on we started requesting credentials from Crest Wood Homes and his employees and that's when owner Kurt decides to (bowed) out of the contract, which he sent to me via email. We made several complaints by phone and email to owner Kurt and Installation Made Easy Who asigned them to us and nothing was done. We ffered  him the opportunity to come at our home and view the issues, but instead bowed out of the contract at the last minute,Leaving us scrambling  to fine replacement contractors. We even requested Crest Wood credentials from installation Made Easy, and they too gave us the run around. After several  unsuccessful attempts to verify their credentials my wife and I decided to contact the state of WI, and to  our surprise we fund out that all 3 of Kurt Raymond's  business licenses have been expired as of 2014. Crest Wood Homes Employees who was sent to our home were Christopher, Louie and  CJ Insulation made easy made a pledge on their website and even in our contract stating the following below, this statement is false and very misleading because the contractor they referred to as has no license as of 2014, and was operating illegally and their entire crew were  not certified or trained. After their contractor bowed  out of the contract they refuse to refund me my over $7462.00 deposit. Not one of them wear a badge or anything according to their so-called pledge. (SO CALLED PLEDGE) Ensuring a great experience in home improvement starts with finding the best independent contractor for your project. Every contractor who participates in our program is certified to be insured, licensed and experienced in their trade. Their certification is evidenced by an ID Badge, which they are required to wear while working at your home. Less than 10% of contractors nationwide meet our criteria for certification. read more

I contacted IME to schedule an appointment for an estimate. The contractor called and said he didn't realize the appointment was for the day and asked if he could reschedule in the morning, which was fine with me. He also asked if I could text him with what I wanted etc. I sent pics and what I thought was the sq ft is the area. I never heard back from him, however he submits an estimate to IME as if he came to my house. We never discussed anything and for all I know my measurements could be wrong. When I contacted IME they said they sent me an estimate that morning. I asked to who and how. They confirmed a wrong name, wrong address and wrong email. The representative acted like I was an inconvenience to her. I was finally sent an email double the amount Home Depot wanted and HD sq ft reflected more. In any event I decided to use a professional who has taken the time to come to my home and discuss what I want as well as show me pictures of his work. this is a follow up to my original review. IME had made my concrete floor worse and I now needed MORE work done to install my floor. I googled Installation made easy pdf and found a list of phone numbers for corporate. I started with the area manager, waste of time. On a whim I called the Big dog, left a message and he called me back! suddenly the customer service rep was actually returning calls. now she wanted me to sign a contract that I wouldn't sue.... I refused. I did eventually get ALL OF MY MONEY BACK. Every dime. don't waste your time with the customer service reps who just drag resolution out hoping you'll give up. also find a local small flooring store and use them. my floor is finally getting finished SEVEN months later. read more

In May I purchased flooring for a basement rehab from Floor and Decor. I contracted with Installation Made Easy for installation. They sub-contracted with Modern Flooring of Salt Lake City and work was scheduled for 26-27 May 2022. My 8:00 a.m. appointment for work to begin was moved to 9:00 a.m., then "after 10:00 a.m." Midday, I called Vlad at Modern who said a truck had broken down. My installer arrived, alone, after 4:30 p.m., worked a few hours and then took several days off for the Memorial Day weekend. I also learned that the worker was 'moonlighting' and could not arrive before 4:30 p.m. He sent me out for brushes and vinyl cove adhesive for future use. When I returned, I pointed out that the local Lowe's only had vinyl floor adhesive, he said it would work. He also said he had to remove about one inch of the bottom of 4 door frames to slip flooring underneath. Subsequently, he pried off all the door frames in the hall to 'make it easier to fit'. Removal damaged the frames, walls and jambs as haste and carelessness were soon on display. To make a long story shorter, I have itemized the following: 1. Much of the flooring stopped ¾" to 1 1/2" from wall. "Handyman" fixed some; I fixed the remainder by adding flooring in strips, gluing it down and caulking with brown caulk so 6-inch vinyl base cove could be applied without a sizable gap at the bottom where the floor met the curved lower edge of the cove. 2. "Handyman" never cleaned up his work area at any time after his work sessions. I picked up scrap materials, swept, vacuumed, and used solvents to clean adhesive where edges were pieced to fill gaps along floor and wall interface. 3. Seven curved outer corners were not fitted and required extensive work. I had to repair 8 door frames which were sloppily removed for floor placement and reattached with a pneumatic nail gun. Adjacent walls were damaged with a pry bar, walls were cut with a mat knife, caulk was pulled and gauged, nail holes were not repaired. 4. Several pneumatic nails were shot into doorframes at an angle and protruded into the doorway. I removed these, patched, filled, caulked, sanded, primed, and painted walls and 8 styles and door jambs. 5. Left 20 plus pneumatic nail gun nails (new and used) scattered on garage floor. 6. Installed several short pieces of 6-inch vinyl base cove which I measured and cut to fit with improper adhesive (floor tile adhesive). These pieces did not adhere to wall. I had to remove them discard and recut the molding, clean the adhesive off the wall and repaint for proper installation. 7. Left 6 packages of flooring opened, I had to sort, repack, and secure for return to Floor and Décor, Salt Lake City (8 July 2022). The installer sent by Modern Flooring, (425) 276-8445, was apparently a handy man who was not very handy! He showed up only on occasion and was alone except for the next to last day when he was assisted by a son, grandson, and a guy with a pneumatic nail gun and no skill to use it. On his last day, he installed several short, premeasured and cut pieces of 6-inch cove base; these all fell off the wall in a few hours as the wrong adhesive was used. I complained about the ¾ inch to 1 1/2 inch gap between the flooring and walls. The installer said he would add strips to close the gap; he did not. The next day, I thanked him for his efforts and said I would finish the job myself. My general contractor and I installed the base cove in three, 3-hour work sessions; 2 old men on hands and knees doing work left undone by the folks I had contracted with. I paid half the project cost up front and only got satisfactory work laying the center of three rooms and a hallway. Is half payment enough to cover for half-assed work? I think I am being generous not charging the company for the work my contractor and I had to do to repair the damage and complete the job. read more

We had floors installed and within a few months there were gaps in the floor. I don't believe they leveled the floor properly. They also left a big 2 in square hole in the flooring underneath our electric heater that I didn't see until I moved the couch in that area months after they left. I called and made a claim over two months ago to get the floors fixed. The installer came up and took pictures. I have called them over and over again to see what the hold up has been. They don't respond often. I was told once they needed to source the flooring but they neglected to tell me that I had to make the claim through floor and decor. So that's two claims now and A LOT of paperwork. After two months of waiting I finally find out that no one has done anything to secure the flooring for replacement. I am now just starting a second claim against Floor and Decor even though I was told Installation Made Easy would take care of it. Bottom line - Installation took way too long, work was shoddy, and the repair process is a joke. Do not use these folks find someone else or do it yourself. You'll be better off. PS if you decide to roll the dice with this company - keep ALL of your receipts and take pictures of the lots number on the boxes you purchase because they expect all of that when you make and claim - and you will have to make a claim. I think they make it difficult on purpose - who keeps a box of flooring almost a year after it was installed? Luckily we did otherwise I don't know if any of this would get fixed by either Floor and Decor or this crappy company. The work was done by Precision Building Services here in Denver Colorado. I do not recommend. They took over a month to install 900 sq ft. It was a very frustrating experience overall and now to have to deal with this - it's just enough already. read more

Richmond Va. My experience with IME turned to a nightmare. After saving for a ten thousand dollar floor project I proceeded to floor and decor to Pick out the flooring For the entire downstairs of my home. After carefully choosing and purchasing. I questioned If they had a specific reputable installation co. They walked me over to another isle which housed a male that sits and sets up installation. The name of this company was a Installation made easy recommendation. A date was set for install. When they finally arrived I was told 4-5 days tops on install. There was no crew or multiple installers to work the job and get it done timely. Not only did they leave 1 male to remove and install the entire lower floor alone. Help was provided only on days I called owner demanding additional help. They we're also paid to remove and install all of the baseboards. The floor was installed incorrectly and, there were chips found in the flooring as well as unlevel at the transition areas where 1 room meets another after Multiple calls to the owner almost Daily for lack of help as well as concerns on the installation. The employee had been with the company only 6 months and he was left alone to install my $10,000 job. I called to floor and decor many times however was told that IME was not actually employed by them so no help. To make a long story short, my home was left dirty, glue stuck to the floors which would not come off and employees using degreasers for a car engine as well as Mr. clean pads which took the sheen off the floor on some of the flooring, also a hole in wall. Some of the flooring was not locked in together causing creaking as well as gaps between boards. The baseboards were Put in improperly and had to be pulled up and reinstalled. Finally after demanding again to bring in help, the job completed after 8 days. I would NEVER use this company or recommend to anyone. read more
