I had no idea a location was this close. I went through security and I was seen and out in 5 minutes. Omg! They made me a copy and I was on my way. The security guard was super nice and so was the staff who assisted me. Typically you need an appointment but because mine was simple they saw me. I'm free!!! I highly recommended this location as the parking is ample and it's a smaller office.

My experience here mirrored the gentlesir's trip to the Double Chin titty bar in that it was free entry but I would have emptied my wallet and "made it rain" to facilitate a hasty premature exit. For such a highly trafficked location on one of the main arteries of the city (hello gurl, even the street address is ON the Gulf Freeway) the parking lot is woefully undersized for as many people pass through the office on a daily basis. The building itself, just outside Hobby Airport, could be charitably described as Class D office space. Which is well below the norm of what I am used to in other similarly situated cities housing an assistance center such as this. Even in San Francisco where errrrything is D-List because we're all kicky and sassy, they have nicer locations. Since there is other stuff in the building you can get into the atrium before the IRS portion opens up for business on the second floor of the building. The stairwell is to your right, around the corner from the elevator, or you can elevator her up one floor. The office opens at 8:30am on Monday so even though the phone number they list online goes unanswered, at least their start time online is correct. But guess what sports fans, I got there before 8am to be first in line and I had the gasp of a lifetime to find out that there were already 50 people ahead of me, half an hour before they gat dang opened. If you ever need to come here, get here real early and make sure you grab the butcher paper ticket (usually on the chair nearest the door, or on the floor under that chair) to secure your prime space in the #1-12 crew for your first portion of waiting for the day. Cut out some waiting time there and the next four hours fly by before you notice it. Of course that many people waiting means that the "waiting room" on the second floor is just as woefully undersized as the parking lot outside. So until about 8:30 you have the entire second floor walking space (including elevators and restrooms) being ass to elbows with thirty people you don't know very well, like you don't even know what Hogwarts house they would be sorted into or what their favorite colour is. Then security clears the entire second floor when the problem becomes self evident so if you don't get a seat in the undersized waiting room then you get escorted to wait downstairs. Be prepared to wait a long while. You have to wait to get a number, then you wait some more until that number is called and then you get another number and you wait until that number is called. Four hours later you might talk to someone who will probably be completely unhelpful. As you try to escape this urine soaked Class D office park heckhole you will probably be boxed in by other people trying to maneuver their giant monster trucks in a tiny lot designed to hold two Priuses and three Harleys on a busy day. So you will wait some more until you can escape the parking lot and drive it like you stole it to get TF out of this part of South Houston as quickly as you can. I was getting paid $500/hour to be here and I still feel like I need a shower or six to get cleaned up from this experience. I have attached a helpful infographic for this building's undersized parking lot and very undersized waiting room. Take notes. Get a garden watering can. Fill it up with water. Use it. And hope for the best. But do better.
