I always purchased directly from the provider and assumed I was getting a decent deal. When the time came to explore options for my first home, I quickly realized I was in over my head when I received my first quote from a provider and had no idea how to compare the three options they sent me. All these insurers that advertise quick quotes and comparisons are basically total BS. So, I started talking to some friends that also recently bought their first home, and they recommended Emmanuel Insurance. It never even crossed my mind to use a broker, but after one conversation with Tyler, it immediately made sense to work with people that actually know that they're talking about. They live and breathe this stuff every day and aren't tied to any one provider. Tyler was super friendly and easy to work with as he determined our needs, and quickly put together some recommendations on not only getting the best homeowner's policy, but bundling it with our auto to get even better coverage, for cheaper. However, I was ultimately charged $491.00 a month, which is significantly higher than what I was quoted. What is especially frustrating is that the additional charges and fees were not clearly disclosed to me when I received the quote.
