It's unlikely this is a scam company, but it's definitely a waste of your time. I was initially skeptical myself since they were asking for very, very personal and private information but that's normal for staffing agencies. You won't hear back after an initial phone screening from their clients- but they aren't fraudulent or fake since everyone I spoke with was a real person with real Indeed profiles to their name. In reading these reviews I am assuming none of these people have got jobs through out of state temp agencies. I live in Los Angeles and this is my 2nd temp job through these type of agencies. If you make your resume public on these job search websites you do understand ANYONE can see your resume? I got a job at SCE through one of these type of agencies (not In-Sync), interviewed for decent companies, and I am now working at a very popular hospital through In-Sync. I was skeptical also but I promise they are legit. Maybe it's cheaper to outsource these out of state companies, I don't know; but my recruiter Kelly with In-Sync is awesome and we have never met all communication has been over the phone. No. I never applied with this agency. No. I never even applied for the hospital I am currently working for. Yes. They sent me an email asking me to respond if I was interested. Yes. They asked for the last 5 of my social. Yes. I got an actual interview with the company I'm working for. YES I AM EMPLOYED, with a very decent pay rate. I was not asked to post this review. You can look at my other Yelp reviews; I usually only post positive reviews of places I actually support or appreciate their service. I am only posting this in hopes to help other skeptical job seekers like myself. I keep being contacted by this company, offering 1/3 my pay rate, for jobs in the wrong state. I've asked them repeatedly not to contact me with these jobs, I'll get a nasty gram and more calls. They seem to be in the business of wasting both their client's time, and prospective job searchers. Very sad. Seems they are no longer asking for SSNs, but in the email I received, they did ask for unusual things like the EXACT name of my last school and date of graduation, and my full name including middle initial. If I could give no stars I would. This agency Violates labor laws when it comes to paying employees on time. They will hold your pay until they receive equipment back even though it is against Federal labor laws to do so. You can never speak to anyone there other than the Recruiter. They only communicate via email. If equipment has to be shipped they will not send a shipping label unless you ask for one. If you need a pick up for the equipment, the employee has to pay for it and they won't pay your last check until it's sent back. Although the Recruiter was very nice and tried to help all she could, the agency itself was not helpful at all. read more

I have no idea why a company on the other side of the US is trying to find employees for USC. Other than that would be a great place to work, USC is right down the freeway from me, why would USC hire a job recruiter in NJ? I would be suspicious of any unsolicited employment offers. I just received an unsolicited Email regarding a tech job with Ricoh. Ricoh's website doesn't list any opening in my area. After reading some of the other posts, they seem to have wised up and removed requests for DOB or SSN. However, they ask for my location. If they are recruiting for a job, and they don't know with any certainty if I live in the area of the job, then even if they aren't a scam, they aren't very competent. And looking at the Email header, it appears that this Email bounced out of Europe. I would be very leery of responding to any Email from this group. read more

On an interview with a company that a recruiter sent me on. I was told to go on another interview with the client of that company. I went on that interview and then was told that I would have a phone interview with a manager. Each time I circled back with the recruiter and the company. In the end there was no follow-up from either the company nor the recruiting company InSync after several emails and phone calls. At a minimum I would expect to have follow-up back to say that the job is either going to move forward or to have closure some kind. That's what any professional business would do. I got an inbox message with a job offer with 30+ dollar pay an hour. I was excited and read further on and it was asking for my social security (5 numbers) and DOB. It seems very shady if it's asking for all personal and sensitive information this without any guarantees. I got skeptical and Yelp review shows all negative reviews. I live in California, and I think they found my resume on a job board. I was contacted by 3 different people so far via email about job opportunities. When I reply, call, or at least try to communicate, there is absolutely nothing. Then they contact me again (like a cold email contact). I really think this place is a scam. Update: I still haven't gotten any interviews or anything, but I'm still getting their spam emails. Beware. I was contacted. I sent information, resume, past job documentation etc. I was offered a job interview out of town. I was supposed to be paid expenses for attending the out of town job. The people at the interview liked me. I was sent an offer email contingent on a background check. The background company was Cisive, beware of them too. I complied with a drug screen. Everything was fine and I noticed that they wanted me to waive my rights relative to sending them Per diem receipts. They said they would remove the requirement. They told me to hurry and give notice to my current job, I declined until the job offer was final. They asked me to sign an employment contract. The contract had a number for pay that was 2/3 of the amount offered in the emailed job offer. They said that the expenses for the out of town job came out of my pay. The contract had language that would make it very difficult to quit once the "employment" contract was signed, including threats. The contract was designed to trick people, basically, to become indentured labor, at low pay. Do people actually sign those contracts without reading them and become indentured workers to Insync Staffing? I then understood why there were weird things going on during the on-boarding process. We'll see if they pay the expenses for the out of town travel. These people are bad actors, you have been warned. read more

This place is a scam! I received an email from Becca saying that there is a job opportunity open in San Francisco for a tech company. I was ecstatic when I saw the email because its always been a dream of mine to work for a tech start up company. I immediately filled the application and next day, Cathleen whom is a senior recruiter gave me a phone call. She didnt seem too excited and kept saying the company is "so cool" and "its really cool". If a recruiter really wanted to offer you a job, they'll say anything to make you want to work at that company. They will tell you about the benefits and the perks. Unfortunately, Cathleen did not tell me such. She told me to fill out another application and to resend my resume. In the application that she sent from her email asked for SSN, DOB, Address, and legal name. Like other reviews, it is very skeptical, fishy, and wrongful to be asking for such when no job opportunity is offered or no legal contract has been signed. Good thing, I provided a fake SSN ( They ask you for the last 5 digits ). Weeks and days passed by... I never heard back from anyone from this company. I live in California. First, I received a call that came up on my phone as a "tele-marketer" and a message was left regarding an employment opportunity; this was on 2/13/2017. I returned the call and was speaking to someone with what sounded like a very heavy India accent. This "recruiter" was asking questions regarding my employment background and I asked "don't you have my resume in front of you?" The response was "ahhh.....yes, yes." Then the "recruiter" said he would like to submit my resume to the employer and asked for the last 4 or 5 digits of my social security number. I said "that's not going to happen." I was told that my resume could not be submitted to the employer without my social security information. RED FLAG!! I was polite and disconnected the call. On 2/15/17 I received an email from Cathleen Pozas-Harter supposedly with this staffing agency regarding the same position and again asking for social security information. I have blocked the email address. This is my review....of course, you can draw your own conclusion. My 1-star rating is only because in order to post this review I had to select a rating. read more
