If you have a small injury and need some very basic exercises then this place might be beneficial to you. They had me go through the same simple exercises which was essentially just stretching. There was no focus on strengthening my back or the muscles around it. Just very basic stretches. This facility didn't push me to progress or take on more challenging exercises and stuck to the same stretches. The actual PT worked on me for the first intake session and didn't see me after that. She never checked-in to see how things were progressing (or not). If you need an actual PT to work on and challenge you then I definitely would not recommend coming here. My current physical therapist works on my back every single session and introduces different exercises, as they continue to push me toward more demanding, strength-based activities. I gave this place 3 stars because the office staff and the assistants were nice. read more

I feel fortunate to have been assigned to physical therapy at Intecore Aliso Viejo for leg strengthening and to improve my balance. Amanda was the one who checked me in for the first time. If it's Friday, it must be Amanda, always smiling, and welcoming me to my session for the day! Jackie was there on the other days. She is helpful in answering any questions you might have about eligibility and insurance coverage. On more than one occasion, I appreciated her calm, caring, reassuring manner in response to an insurance claim letter. Quinn was one of the two physical therapy aides to Shannon. What a friendly, happy, high energy guy! No matter how I feel when I walk in the door, Quinn is definitely a mood booster. Preston was the other aide to Shannon that I worked with. He was soft spoken and encouraging every time I made progress. I really felt he believed in my ability to improve my balance and muscle strength! And then there was Shannon, my physical therapist. What a perfect match for me! Yes, she demonstrated, taught, and had me repeat the basic exercises for balance and leg strengthening. After that, she took it to another level by showing me how to SAFELY complete the daily activities of living - getting in and out of bed or a car, getting up off the floor when I had fallen, walking up and down the stairs, picking up and lifting objects from the floor to a standing position, and any other activity that I was having difficulty with. One day on my way to the doctor, I encountered a snake squirming on the sidewalk, lying in the path that led to my car. After the fact, I asked Shannon what to do when unexpected things like that happen. She devised an exercise to replicate a snake, or something else unexpectedly happening, when walking and showed me how to handle the situation. I appreciate Shannon's knowledge, understanding, patience, creativity, and sense of humor. She made physical therapy challenging and fun! Shannon, Quinn, Preston, Jackie, and Amanda all contributed to the positive physical therapy experience I had at Intecore! Phenomenal physical therapy center. I went in for tendinitis in my ankle and also a neck problem. Dr. Brandon Antonissen, DC is the best Chiropractor I've ever used. He's extremely knowledgeable and talented and has the latest techniques on how to treat my specific issues and I've seen an improvement with my condition over the past three weeks I've been going there. I also have seen their physical therapy center and they've been great at helping treat my pain and providing good remedies to help keep things from getting worse. Dr. Poon, Heather, and Sohan have all been great in helping me and I'm grateful for their care. My wife is going in for knee surgery and she will be using them. I highly recommend them. Mike was awesome, I had been experiencing horrible pain in my hip/glutes if sat down or stood it didn't matter. I'm only 22 and I was really concerned I would need surgery or worse there was no treatment. I went in to see Mike and he eased my nerves for sure. I had an excellent, and effective, experience at Intercore PT! I went in with a sprained rotator cuff which left me unable to wash and dry my hair and get dressed, not to mention the pain was unbearable at times. Over the course of only a couple of months, Mike taught me exercises to do at home along with the physical therapy I was doing at each appointment. The entire team from Jackie (at the front desk) to Mike (my physical therapist) and the support team, Michael and Dan, was friendly and I felt made an effort to get to know me AND made me feel comfortable in a setting I was not used to. Dr Mike and the team at Intecore were great to work with. Their location is easily accessible, they worked well within COVID regulations, the assessments were thorough and explained in layman's terms so that I could understand, and they made sure I was prepared for release with exercises and proper technique so I could start lifting weights again. It has a few new equipment. But this is the smallest physical therapy office i have ever been too. And my first visit i saw a assistant physical therapist so not even a real physical therapist which legally has to be a licensed educated physical therapist for initial visit. Smallest office ever, no privacy at all. I thought id try a new office id be going to same since 2009 but i regret that decision and will be going back to my guy next week. Has a lot of rooms, lots of equipment, pilates room etc, massage rooms. And i always see the owner who is a licensed therapist and speaks english and plus never had to wear a mask. I had surgery (meniscus tear) for the first time in life. Not fully understanding the effort it takes to fully recover and get back to "normal" activities and range of motion. I have had knee pain for several years. I chose this practice as my first choice due to the proximity and great reviews. However, my experience was not stellar. I was seen by a physical therapy aide for 95% of each session and maybe 5-10 minutes with the physical therapist at the end. The PTs were seeing at least 2 other people at the same time and unfortunately I kept getting the short end of the stick each time. Although the PTs and aide were nice, I didn't feel like I got enough guidance. read more

Excellent experience. My son recovered from a running injury here so I tried it for my frozen shoulder. The staff was wonderful and extremely competent. I recovered in half the time. I thought all the departments did a great job at helping me recover. Between September and December 2020 I had 23 therapy sessions in this office. This was not the first time I visited the office for therapy, but first to work on my feet problem. In the beginning, I was a little bit sceptical, because I did not feel too much improvement, but after 3-4 visits (and keeping up the "homework"), it was amazing to see, how much better my feet felt and worked? This place is the best! I first came to them a few years ago with a knee problem that bothered me for a year. After working with Lisa for a few months I was pain free. Recently, I had an issue with a shoulder muscle and it just wasn't healing. I immediately thought of Lisa and set up an appointment. Intecore is THE place to go for any physical injury. The therapists are well-trained, knowledgeable, very professional, kind, caring, and friendly. The modalities employed and recommended are spot on for the given injury. I have been seeing Laila for severe neck pain from degenerative disc disease, stenosis, and arthritis. I get heat therapy, massage, specific exercises for stretching/strengthening, ultra sound, e-stim and ice. It is thorough treatment, and the entire staff follows the regimen and is familiar with each patient. The atmosphere is low-key--relaxing and mellow. There is usually a nice TV program playing in the background, but no loud music, which is nice. I couldn't be more impressed with a PT facility! read more
