I not sure why the name Connieappeared in my review. Vinnie was the reason I selected Ivy for my rehab. I had visited three physical therapy sites before coming to Ivy and Vinnie approached me while I was in the waiting room and offered to show me the facility and explained the physical therapy process. I was so impressed with his dedication and kindness that I asked him if he could coordinate my physical therapy and he immediately said of course he would. I spent eight weeks with him coming twice weekly and left fully healed with no pain. I give his therapy plan and guidance full credit for my recovery. And yet my denial didn't stop my balance and tripping problems and finally falling a few times a year. I said enough. Their office worked with me to set up a schedule for treatment. My partner was getting PT from Sai. He convinced me to get assessed and I did. He told me my left get had major problems and needed to be put back in place with muscle alignment. This is not the first time we have experienced neglect and rough handling from staff. No resident should ever be treated this way -- it is degrading and a basic failure of care. I have filed formal complaints with the NYS Department of Health and the Long-Term Care Ombudsman. I strongly caution other families to think carefully before placing a loved one here. They also don't call you back, almost all calls go to voicemail. Still waiting for Director of Nursing to call me back.

Don't be lazy, take a minute and support this location. I met Steve about 10 years ago when he worked in Manhattan.Years of high school and college football hits along with running finally caught up with me. I had a lower back injury and literally could not walk, sit or stand for any length of time. I had been to several sports medicine offices, chiropractors, etc. and could not find a ling term solution until I met Steve. Long story short.... Steve cured me and I had zero pain for the past 9 years. Recently I noticed that I had slight pain in my left hamstring when on the elliptical or was running. I tracked Steve down and arranged for a consultation. We met today, Steve took about an hour with me and came up with a diagnosis, and exercises targeting the problem. You have to be careful when choosing a PT. It is easy to mis-diagnose the problem which can ultimately raise the level of pain and cause other injuries. Steve and his team are friendly, connect with their patients and most importantly know what they're doing.. There are several other PT's working their with a stellar reputation, satisfied patients, , it's a large location, they socially distance, are very clean, disinfect the tables and exercise area once it's used. I feel very comfortable taking the hour plus drive from Brooklyn even though I can go to a PT 5 minutes from my house. You can do most of the paperwork on line so you don't waste time when you come there for the first time. They will email and texts you regarding your appointments. Yali and Allison who are some of the administrative. Staff were very friendly, took initiative, and were pro- active to me sure I was happy.
