Funny I had made a review of this business awhile ago and since then it seems it disappeared. I myself had a terrible experience with these people. From what I have read the people who are making the reviews for this business had the same issues I had with them. I was actually in there to rehab my shoulder and explained to them that I had a bad back. And as well was left with an "assistant." Needless to say.......my back was wrecked from their so called therapy. Six months later I was having back surgery from their incompetence. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE TO HELP YOU RECOVER. I went to IRS after knee replacement surgery. The staff was efficient and professional and the therapists I worked with were very knowledgeable and worked with me to not only get me back on my feet quickly, but helped with ancillary problems I had with my hip after surgery. I worked with Mike for over 2 months and always found him and other therapists to be most professional. I would highly recommend them. read more

I completely disagree with the previous poor reviews of Integrated Rehabilitation Services in Tolland. It appears that those were over a year ago. I just started going for physical therapy ten days ago. I had hurt my foot, leg, and back. In only ten days, I already notice a difference in my pain level (it's less). My physical therapist, Americo, is a professional who really is a specialist in back problems, and has a great personality too. Americo has worked on my back each time I've been there. The assistants have helped him out, by showing me exercises, however, Americo always comes over to see how I'm doing & corrects me if I'm doing an exercise wrong or if I have any questions. I also believe that you get results from physical therapy by religiously doing all of the prescribed stretches and exercises at home. You can go to pt twice a week, but if you don't do your part the other 5 days, you won't heal. Also, IHR is a very modern, clean facility. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I went here 4 weeks after rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder. I went in with the RX and protocol from my Dr. for physical therapy. My first initial consult was fine, every appointment there after started to become a little more frustrating. I wasn't paid much attention to by my therapist, I was pretty much given exercises and left to my own devices. I was not properly informed how to do them. Only by me asking questions did I learn what I should and should not be doing. I wasn't given any print outs for the exercises that I needed to do at home at the end of my appt. I had to go back in on two different occasions to remind the therapist that I needed some exercise guidelines. They have young people working there that are assistants to the therapists that are not fully trained. Since the therapists have 2-3 patients within a 1 hour period these "assistants", many times are the ones that tend to you. The last and final time I went for therapy my therapist was bombarded with two other patients. He had one of the assistants show me an exercise for me to do. As I was doing them I was in excruciating pain. I yelled across the room to my therapist, who had is back to me and told him I couldn't do them. He then sent the assistant over again to show me a more simple way of doing them. Again, I was in excruciating pain. No one was watching me or checking up on me. I was there trying to do those exercises for 15 minutes or so. I was there for about 45 minutes and hadn't been with my therapist once. I had it. I walked across the room and tears and picked up my jacket and proceeded to leave. Only then did the therapist stop me and say he would stretch me out. I told him in no uncertain terms how upset I was and felt that they over scheduled their patients. I was still in so much pain at this point and let him do his stretches. From that time on the pain in my shoulder was so bad I called my surgeon and they had me come in. I told him about the exercises I was given and he was appalled that i would be given those so soon into my recovery. They were the very last exercises on the protocol. Doesn't a licensed Physical Therapist know this!!!? I had to take 2 weeks off from therapy and was told by my Dr. to change Physical Therapists. Those 2 weeks were filled with pain. I was petrified I tore my shoulder again. My nieces wedding which I was so looking forward to, I had a miserable time at because of my pain. Needless to say the new Physical Therapist I saw last night told me last night that I was back to square one and I had to start all over again. I wasn't given many of the exercises I should have been while at Integrated. To begin all over again when I am 10 weeks out of surgery was so discouraging. Those final exercises I was given at the wrong time made my shoulder extremely swollen and stressed out. To make matters much worse, I called Integrated today and spoke with Kim the receptionist, who is just wonderful. I asked for my records and told her my story. She urged me to speak with the Manager, Americo. I really didn't want to but she convinced me to because she felt so bad. Americo called me tonight. He was condescending and pretty much called me a liar. He then accused me of me wanting him to call me so I could get my co-pay back. I didn't even ask for him to call me. He was arguing with me saying I did!! I can't tell you how livid he made me. I was okay before I spoke to him. I wanted nothing, just my records and I was going to chalk it up to a bad experience and just move on. I am a nice person, I don't like to make waves. But being treated like I was just a scheming liar, after I was actually hurt by them?? That was too much to bear. Thus my review here. I NEVER review. PLEASE PLEASE don't go here. They care so much more for quantity rather than quality. Just bring in the patients. Just bring them in. read more

Incompetence! Unprofessional! Profit seems the primary motive here and care and therapy is hokey. I have never seen a more screwed up billing/invoice. I am an accountant and had to do a spreadsheet, reconcile to my insurance statements to understand the balance due amount because the balance due amount is not the sum of the items on the invoice. What's more, they never show your payments which makes it more difficult to understand the outstanding balance. My wife asked twice while at the office to pay her bill in full which she then paid twice. Thinking we paid in full, and coincidentally the payments were almost exactly the outstanding balance of the invoices (two accounts) we did not concern ourselves with subsequent invoices assuming their accounting has not posted payments for some reason (remember they don't show on the invoice) Next thing I know I have a collection agency and interest to pay which irritates me. So I once again I paid in full over the phone and never got another invoice. Now one year later I get a notice from the collection agency that I owe $475. Well apparently there are a few more visits left unpaid but I'll probably have to do another spreadsheet to prove it out. Stay away from this place, they are shady and their therapy is essentially hokey BS. My wife has required medical attention all her life and has a keen sense for good, sincere providers. Between myself and two of my children we have had several injuries that required physical therapy treatment. I couldn't be happier with the service and treatment that we have received from Integrated Rehab. In fact two of my children had received incorrect diagnosis from physicians and as a result were not getting better. I went to Americo in the Tolland office and within a short period of time he let me know he didn't think we were treating the injuries correctly. We sought out second opinions from new dr's and followed up with the physical therapy at Integrated Rehab and both were on the road to recovery. They are focused on getting each person to their healthiest self. read more
