Then, I received a bill in the mail for over $150 that I now owe to Kennedy Chiropractic. After discussing with their Billing Department, I was instructed that it's because I hadn't met my deductible yet (which I was fully aware of). Then she informed me that I should have known to tell them on my first ever appointment with a chiropractor that I didn't want to go through my insurance because they charge a client less based on this arrangement. They never discussed how much and initial consultation and respective treatment was, told me I owe nothing, and now won't work with me on the amount owed because it's not their problem. I'd recommend going to the three other chiropractors in the area before checking out Kennedy Chiropractic Center.

They were very thorough in my initial exam and also got me in quick for my first visit which was highly important. I noticed an immediate improvement, however slight, immediate, when I left. I suffer from two bulging discs in my back and they addressed all my concerns and even followed up that evening with a call to see how I was feeling. I visited "Doctor" Settimi for some neck stiffness a little under a year ago and that…read moredecision has been one of the biggest regrets of my life...and is something I am still experiencing the affects of today. I had never been to a chiropractor, so I had no idea what to expect. She assessed my neck, told me I was a special case, but could help me, and then proceeded to adjust my neck and spine. Immediately following my first adjustment, I became extremely nauseous and dizzy. She told me it was my body releasing toxins, and that it would resolve in a few days. To be sure, she wanted me to return to her every day that week for an additional adjustment and had me pre-pay for the sessions. After each session, I still felt dizzy...almost like I had just woken up and my neck continued to hurt. My focus was all off and my eyes frequently drifted when trying to focus on something. Not normal...I had never experienced this before her first adjustment. Her prescription? More sessions with her...because I was a "special case." When I called her to tell her that I didn't think her adjustments were helping me and that I was going to stop seeing her, she threatened my decision by saying that "my insurance company may refuse to pay for the sessions if they find out I am going against doctor orders of continued adjustments." She said she could still help me and other doctors won't understand my "special case." That phone call was the end of my relationship with her. It has been almost a year and I am still experiencing the visual distortion and focus-problem affects from her adjustments. Other chiropractors I have talked to said she completely mis-read the causes of my neck pain. She took x-rays of my neck and of my neck only. It turns out the cause of my neck pain was in my lower back...something she didn't even think to explore before she started adjusting me. Other chiropractors were shocked she didn't x-ray my whole back and went right for a neck adjustment. Her operation seems to be based around how much money she can get from patients, and my guess is she didn't x-ray my back because it was expensive for her to explore it. Her staff told me they don't get enough money from the insurance companies for the sessions, and it is probably for this reason why my whole experience at her office felt like I was being duped by a sleazy salesman. In addition to her pre-pay request, after each of my sessions her staff tried to "up-sell" me with a whole bunch of health supplements that had no relevance to my neck. I see she has many good reviews on here, but if I could go back and change one thing about my life in the last year, it would be to never have visited her. She only made my body worse.

I was desperate for some relief with some postpartum issues. I consulted with another chiropractor nearby, but when I realized the cost difference to go through insurance, I came here. Dr. Kenzie has totally changed my perception and experience of chiropractors. In a short amount of time she has significantly helped me with movement and pain management related to postpartum healing. Here's what I really enjoy: 1. She pairs adjustments with exercises that make a difference. So, yes, there is work on your end to feel better - but it seriously makes a difference. 2. She takes it appointment by appointment, rather than another place less than a mile a way that wanted to sell me 3x/week for 12 weeks and re-exams every so many visits. Instead, I have seen change going every 1-3 weeks, but can make appointments sooner if I feel the need. Her adjustments are holding well for me and the exercises are really helping. 3. She bills insurance, so the cost out of pocket (or HSA) is significantly lower. 4. Dr. Kenzie is super friendly, caring, gentle and supportive. Her staff is friendly, too. 5. She doesn't waste time. My first adjustment was same day as exam and didn't cost anything more (another place charged me $170 for exam, made me come two days before adjusting me on second visit for another fee). 6. Waiting room is comfortable.

I was having lower back pain for a few weeks and physical therapy wasn't helping, so I figured I would try this just to see. I saw Dr. Kenzie. I felt immediate relief during the first visit. I just had my third visit and my back feels immensely better -- close to pain free. I was also having neck pain and she was able to treat that without doing an adjustment (I felt nervous about that). Dr. Kenzie is very patient and really listens to what you are saying, and she tells you everything she is doing before she does it. They have a very health-focused, general approach to chiropractic medicine. It's not just an adjustment. They give you exercises and useful tips for how to improve on your own. I highly recommend them!
