When I first started coming, I saw Dr. Jeff Otto at the Cedar Hills location. He was incredibly kind, always listened, and somehow made the five minutes he spent with me feel like thirty. I know the doctors at The Joint see a lot of patients every day because of the walk-in model, but Dr. Kent always made me feel like more than just another appointment. The adjuster, doctor Pat, is great. He answered any questions I had, was very gentle and reassuring, and was obviously very knowledgeable. I did feel like he operates like a humming bird, very much moving or doing something every moment. The reason I am rating 3 is because I asked specifically for a female massage therapist and was told that is absolutely something that could be accommodated. However, the day of my appointment the front desk said "he" when talking about my massage. I was very confused and asked for clarification, restating that I had been very clear that I would only receive a massage from a female. I felt completely unheard and disregarded by the front desk and was told I would not be able to get a massage unless I got it from a male. When I restated my boundary I was told to sit and wait for when doctor Pat could see me. I missed out on the massage that day because they were not able to accommodate my needs. Instead I waited in the lobby for about 45 minutes while I waited to be adjusted. After seeing another chiropractor who listened to my needs, I am switching over.
