I was expecting two movers, but three arrived, which saved me money since they charge by the hour and not by the person. I got Scott, Jeremiah, and Elijah. They were so awesome that my sister and I started wishing we had had kids. They were kind enough to move some boxes and furniture from one room to another within my elderly mom's house, from where I was moving boxes. She literally cried with joy for having such help. When unloading at my new house, I was very particular about which boxes I wanted on which shelves and they accommodated even when I missed some and had to ask them to move them after the fact. They also moved furniture I needed moved to make room for the boxes. Furthermore, they kindly put up with my unsolicited, middle-aged, mom-like advice about not collecting too much junk and having backup plans for when their back give out someday. I know my siblings and I could have moved all my stuff, but I think this was the best money I've spent in years! I can't believe it was done so quickly and my back doesn't even hurt! I'm so grateful for all these men and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

The three men that moved our stuff were hard working, conscientious, and did an excellent job in less than three hours. When I told him no, he told me I messed with 'the wrong guy'. Really? I relay this to Mr. Rael as he continues putting my few things in storage. Once completed, Mr. Rael explains that he, Mr. Rael, is actually the owner/partner of this business, and he asks that I not write a review-at one point even offering my money back. I told him to keep the money as was our deal-I'm not out to rip them off. However, when the dust settled I realized he & Larry cooked this whole thing up to begin with. My advice? Stay far, far away from this outfit.

This was sorted out, but it admittedly caused us some stress at the outset (especially their failure to inform us that they don't have their own truck and we would need to rent our own truck and moving blankets). The move itself was efficient, fast, and relatively painless. The four men were cheerful, positive, kind, and enjoyed joking around with one another and with us. The mood was upbeat, and they were very pleasant fellows, despite the fact that some of our items had to be lifted to the second floor portal from the top of the truck due to a spiral staircase inside! The hourly rate for four men was very reasonable; we gave each man a $20 tip for their positive vibe, hard work, and cheerfulness. As is our normal practice, we also fed them lunch. There was minimal damage to our things, just a few nicks and scratches. These can be overlooked based on the very pleasant people who cheerfully moved us into our new home, but it would have been nice to have been 100% scratch-free. Without the communication issues and some scratches on a few pieces of furniture, I would consider a 5-star rating.

What their EVERY move!…read more A couple of months ago, I utilized thos moving service. At the time, I was quite happy. 2 of the 3 movers were nice, courteous and wanted to do a good job. The other was unfriendly, hid alot (so much the other movers would frequently ask where the other was!), and had a general unpleasant vibe about him. Upon the completetion of the move, I was just happy to get it done. I paid and tipped generously (even the unpleasant one). Then, after they left, a family member asked if I had seen what the unpleasant one did. I did not. But according to my my family member, right where the unpleasant one stood, my family member noticed a wallet. It was emptied and it was far away from where the test of my stuff was unloaded (so it's not like it fell out, during the unloading.). I still gave the movers of the benefit of the doubt. Then I started missing things...a lot of things! During the successive weeks, as I was umpacking, I discovered I was missing several items - from important documents to household items. I have been through everything at least a dozen times - nothing. I have no proof; and when thinking back, I remember, as the crew was locking up there rig, I was encouraged to go before them. So, I left them alone with my stuff for a long period of time! I didn't say anything because, again, I had no proof and I was embarissed that I was so stupid to leave them alone with my belongings. But upon thinking about how more people might be victimized, I decided to wrote this review, hoping that it might help at least one person. So whether you use Lobo or another moving company, NEVER leave the movers alone with your stuff! Always have your eye on your possessions and the people handling them!
