On Aug. 12 of 2923 I had my locks changed. Not an inexpensive thing to do ~ $298. On November 29, 2023 the key (their master key) would not come out of the lock. I called them and they promptly answered and arrived at my house. They also PROMPTLY charged me $90 to remove the key ~ which was accomplished in less than 2 minutes. The problem ~ something inside the lock wasn't in alignment. How could I damage the alignment inside a lock? Impossible I think ~ their excuse is it is more than 90 days and the service technician that did the work is no longer with the company. Why is that my problem? Intel Lock hired the man and should stand behind his work. My advice to anyone reading this review ~ don't deal with INTEL LOCK. read more

completely rude and incompetent, unprofessional - find someone else. yelled at me for 20 minutes and wasn't able to help at all EDITED TO ADD: this company called to try and say this was untrue and blame the fair ground security. we knew EXACTLY where we were in the fairgrounds and gave exact detailed instructions on how to find us multiple times. the person yelling at me was the man from this company, who as we said we gave exact instructions to and was ignoring us, not the female security guard who he was having difficulty with. it was the LOCKSMITH who was yelling at ME the customer and made me cry. NOT the security. no one deserves to be treated like this in an emergency, and it's pretty ridiculous that they can't even take accountability for their company's actions. we later had someone else come into the fairgrounds and got through security and located us just fine with the same exact directions. we knew exactly where we were, their employee just refused to listen and did not want to try to locate us. again, find someone else. there are better options. horrible service. lori, maybe you should take a look at your employees instead of calling your customers liars as it seems you've done this before. what do i have to gain from lying? read more

Lori from Intel Lock has called me multiple times about this Yelp review: I did not provide her with my personal phone number in order to do this, and I am feeling extremely harassed. If you read her response to me, she believes that I'm lying about my experience--I am not, and it just continues to get worse. To respond to her accusations: 1) If I am given a time estimate, I expect that it will be followed. This is ostensibly why cable companies, utility workers, and apartment maintenance workers give large windows of time. This is why I believe customers would be better served by the technician themself giving the time estimate, rather than Lori. 2) I thanked the locksmith for letting me into my house. I did not hug him, because that's not what I do with strange men. I didn't complain about the services at the time because I wanted to check with people about what a reasonable charge for getting a locksmith to open one's house was, and the people that I checked with (who are NOT on Yelp) informed me that it seemed high. I have no complaint about the actual fees that I was charged, just that I couldn't see how the charges were itemized on the invoice (because they weren't). 3) As I noted in the previous review, I was indeed refunded $15 plus 10%, which, again, was not my purpose in writing the review. It was very kind of Lori and the technician to do, but $31.50 really does not make up for the amount of time and energy that I've expended on this issue and does not address the issues I pointed out multiple times now. I have tried to be patient, but now that this has continued into another day, I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about their privacy policies. I blocked their number and Lori called me from a number that blocked caller ID. I declined to pick up her second call, and then I suddenly had a call from Tucson Yoga, where I've never visited and is quite close to her business. I declined to pick that one up, too. I don't see what the point is in trying to lie about all this. I paid for a subpar service and indicated such on Yelp, much like I've talked about other subpar services and other exemplary services. lori was nice to deal with on the phone, nice in person. i felt that the estimate was slightly unclear. the "visit" charge is quite low compared to others. but the parts an labor charge is higher than others. i got some estimates from other locksmiths and it basically sounded like i would pay anyone $100 to come out and fix two locks. manny came and did the work for about$126.00. one of the doors was sticking at little bit and i mentioned it before manny left. he said it was the weather causing it, but by the next day it became very troublesome to open. i called him back and asked him to fix it. he came back the next morning and asked me to pay another $48 dollars to replace the latch. i thought that was a little bit ridiculous for the obvious reasons. manny agreed and there was no charge. so in the end i was happy. read more

Charged me $15 for nothing. Guy came out said he could install a new deadbolt. I asked if that would secure the door, he said it would be better than it is now. He did not seem very knowledgeable about the type of door he was working with. Said lock was $68 and labor was $165, plus the $15 for him to come out. I was never told about the $15 up front. I decided to replace the door and called and let him know. Then I got a call back so they could collect their $15. I'd go with a company that either does estimates for free, or at minimum, tells you up front they're going to charge you. I won't be using them again. read more

They took advantage of my teenage son. My son was locked out of his car. I called and was quoted $15 for the trip fee and $45 "and up" hourly rate depending on "how complex the lock is." The technician arrived within 20 minutes and had the car unlocked in less than 5 minutes. They then charged my credit card $95. I would have gladly paid $60, but the amount charged was clearly excessive. I called to complain and was told that they had to cover overhead and other expenses and so on, and that the hourly rate quoted was $45 "and up." So I guess that covers them to take advantage of anyone as they see fit. I'll never call or recommend this company again. So now, me get this straight. You take complete advantage of my kid, argue and lie to me on the phone when I complain, and now I'm supposed to cease and desist? You went to my employer and complained about me because I called you on overcharging me! No ma'am. You are dishonest. You are a predator. We were quoted $35 per hr plus a $15 trip charge over the phone to unlock a door and an arrival time at our home in 20-25 minutes. The technician took 57 minutes to arrive and charged us $90, not the expected $50 for 20 seconds of work performed. The most applicable is a "house lockout" (since it was an internal doorknob style lock) which is listed as $45. When my wife called later to sort out the discrepancy between what she was told on the phone vs what we were actually charged, the company was rude, argumentative, and not able to explain why the lock that we had them open cost more than any other. Service rendered was effective, however the truthfulness in cost and availability is not within ethical boundaries that I'd give my business to in the future or recommend to anyone else who takes those into consideration. read more

Worst locksmith in town!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! I am a college student and I called and they told me it was $15 for the trip to my house (even though I live 2 miles away) and then $45 every hour. The locksmith took an hour and a half to get here. Once he arrived he was able to get my door lock open (keep in mind it's a cheap Walmart lock) and it took him 5 minutes to open. After opening it he then said it would be $135 which doesn't add up at all because he was there for 5 minutes. They completely scammed me. Do not come here. read more

A few weeks ago, my dad needed 1 deadbolt rekeyed, he was quoted a service fee of $15 and I beleive around $70-$75 in labor for a total of $85?! He ended up taking it to a competitor c&s and he was charged $10 and he was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Overall pleased with the result. I called yesterday and they came out first thing this morning. The person that I spoke to was pleasant. I told him what I needed done, locks changed, and he said they could do it. When I asked what the charge was they said that there was a $15 trip fee and to change the locks would start at $75 and go up. I should have asked go up to what because the total ended up being $165. He was on time and was in and out in about 15 minutes so that part was great. I think that it was pricey but I realize that I'm paying for the convenience of having someone come out and change the locks vs. me trying to do it myself. I was locked out of my apartment hallway door. I called between 6-6:30 PM on a Friday night and was told arrival time would be in 20-30 minutes. Arrived in 50 minutes and told me that this type of lock is not able to be picked. He said because of the immense difficulty it will cost 235.00. He used the air wedge and it popped open immediately. He charged the 235.00. After he left, I grabbed my purse from my apartment and tried my credit card to unlock the door and it easily unlocked the door (so much for very difficult lock). I called the office and said that I felt overcharged and simply was looking for a reliable honest locksmith since I was new to the area. Her words and tone of voice became nasty and she scolded me for "threatening" to write a review. She said that she would need to see the lock herself to determine if it was an overcharge. She said she would be over in the morning at 8 AM or 9 AM. She did not come and did not call to reschedule. I wish I had read the reviews before choosing Intel Lock in Tucson Arizona. Update: I called to reschedule Lori's no show. She did come and was in a pleasant demeanor. She said that they had not cashed my check yet and would give a discount. I called a few locksmiths to get prices on getting my key fob programmed. When I spoke with the lady and sled of she could give me s price she said she could not give me a prove until she had all of my information. Address phone number, email (all the things companies get to send you legs of spam mail). I told her not to worry I understand they charge a fee for traveling to my location and that I would be willing to bring everything to them. I told her I will give her all my personal information once I have a price if I choose to do business with them. I had already given her my car information and everything she would need to quote me a price. When I explained I don't like giving my personal information to everyone that I get a price from, she made some nasty comments then hung up. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, sometimes called her disconnected, no she wouldn't answer. VERY unprofessional. I've never had an adult business person hang up on me. Wow!
