Now how stupid am I for not hanging up the phone and calling a different lawyer? OK so back to the property dispute, I told him the value was about 20,000 dollars, but I'm all distraught from everything that was going on, I was somehow EVEN DUMBER than he is, and let him convince me to sue her for only 10,000 because, I'll quote him: "you get your money quick, if we do it for more than 10k we dont get to include attorney fees, so we'll ask her to include attorney fees, and then you can write me a good review." then as embarrassing as it is for me to admit, I didnt do the math, and realize that if we sued for the 20,000, and I ended up paying him 5000, I'D STILL BE AHEAD WITH 15,000 INSTEAD THE 10,000 THAT HE CONVINCED ME TO GO WITH. meanwhile THIS WHOLE TIME HE'S DRAINING MY RETAINER so he ends up keeping the whole 5000 that i gave him, I ended up taking my ex to small claims and got the full 10,000 WITHOUT HARRIS, WHICH HE SHOULD HAVE ADVISED THAT I DO IN THE VERY BEGINNING, IF HE WAS GOING TO DO WHATS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF HIS CLIENT, but instead he was STEALING from his client FOR THE BENEFIT OF HIS FIRM, putting HIMSELF ahead of his client.
