Review PART I - I went through some of the useful reviews posted here and found that I shared same experience with almost all of the very satisfied customers that worked with Winnpointe. All of us feel that Winnpoint deserve to get no less than 5 stars. As a matter of fact, I'm not the only reviewer who refinanced with Winnpointe twice in the same year. In both occasions, it was nothing less than a great experience working with Art, Cynthia, Colleen, and Maribel. Before my second refinancing application with them was over, I already sent a very good friend of mine their way for refinancing. I'm very confident in saying that they will be able to exceed anyone's expectations. I say that in the background of previously working with many lenders and loan officers. I was fortunate to work with a realtor who taught me how to shop for lending companies. I've learned and practiced how to compare lenders/loan officers so much so that I get a sense of who are the bad apples in the basket. I started recognizing a pattern some uses to bait and trap you in to going along their path. At first, they will talk about how good the market condition is and how it's not going to stay like this forever so you should refinance with them. Then they will test you of how much knowledge you have and give you lots of financial lingo that will impress upon you how good they are and how they can save you lots of money from your current mortgage. Once these loan officers have talked you into it, the trap is when you agree to have your home appraised. You shell out cash for this and if you decide to back out you take the hit on the appraisal fee as well as a hard credit check inquiry. I think many borrowers aren't aware that they will benefit from shopping for lenders that offer the best rate. I won't consider myself a novice (after 4 previous refinancing and purchasing 2 properties) anymore, I usually go straight to the bottom line when I talk to the loan officers, what is the best interest rate they can offer with the closing cost considered (APR) and how much would you have paid off if you keep the loan in 5 years. Once you level the playing field, some loan officers get aggressive talking you in to how you don't understand what you're talking about and that you'd be like a sheep amidst wolves if you get baited and switch to other lenders. Other loan officer will tell you that they are the best compare to others in providing service to get you a purchase contract if you are buying a house. Some have gotten outright obnoxious saying "I can't help you anymore" because I'm getting myself fooled. This guy from American Equity Mortgage told me in his email "I'm sorry Ed, you seem like a nice guy but greedy people pay twice". Pretty nice way of accusing me greedy, huh! It's like saying I have no right to question him and shop for the best rate I can get. I'd really like to email him back after my refinancing with Winnpointe closed and tell him that he should get some lessons from Art on how to conduct himself, however I know better that that's just a waste of my time. I can go on and on with many bad experience I had with many loan officers but I tell you it pays to shop for your loan. To start with, go to this site http://www.mortgagenewsdaily.com/mortgage_rates/ to quickly eyeball where your lender stands compared to the national average and for you to see the trends. I was able to remove a lot of bad apples right away. Then once you've narrow down your choices based on the best offer lenders can give you, look in the finer details of what you'll be paying for that loan. Pay attention to the closing cost as some will not be upfront in saying that you are getting a good interest rate because you're buying points and it will be buried in your total loan so you may not even realize it. If you shop and ask for a loan estimate you'll see how the prices varies in the different fees you'll be paying. You will know that you are working with a good one if they are willing to take the risk for you. That is if they are willing to pay the appraisal of your home and you can just walk away if they are not able to help you improve your loan conditions. This is the point where I have to start saying how Winnpointe is cut well above the rest. You'll need to ask for Art Mack to be your loan officer to fully experience the same satisfaction I've had on 2 separate refinancing occasions. In both occasions, only Winnpointe is willing to have my home appraised without me providing a credit card number to order the appraisal job. Some lenders promised that they will provide lender credits to offset the appraisal fee but remember that you'll be able to get your money back only if you proceed in taking the loan from them. I've worked with Ravy Pov twice in the last year. First Refi (2019) I think was funded within 3 weeks from first phone call with Ravy. Second Refi (Aug, 2020) took a bit longer but my loan processor (not Ravy) changed jobs in the middle of my refi and my replacement (Tara) was amazing. In each case Ravy asked me what my goals were and found the best rates I had seen at the time and responded via email/phone within ours of my questions. My 1st refi lowered my rate by 1.25% which matched the flier I got in the mail, drastically reduced my monthly payment, and cost me NOTHING ***I fronted the cash to establish the new Escrow costs out of pocket and got the old escrow closing check a few weeks later - with my skipped mortgage payment I think I ended up with MORE in my bank account than when I started. Granted, not everyone can do this so those new escrows usually get rolled into their new loans. My second refi goals were to simultaneously lower my rate AND shorten my term by 5 years. Ravy had a new rate and term quote in 24-48 hours with exatly what I was looking for. (I had attempted this with RocketMortgage in June, and the quotes I got back after talking with them for over an hour were ARM loans with longer terms- when I had specificaly requested conventional - so they didnt even listen to me - very frustrating after a hit to my credit also). I've only purchased two homes, but I've refincance 4 or 5 times total in the last decade including these two with Interactive Mortgage. I shopped around BOTH times and I couldnt get a rate anywhere close to these guys. Icing on the Cake: a day before I signed this last time, Tara (my new processor) called me and said the rates had dropped again. She updated my loan and got me another .125% drop in my rate at the last minute. Another Note: if you're wondering HOW these guys get paid when you pay nothing, they are only a broker. They sell your mortgage off to another company who wants to make $ off your interest usually within a month or two. They make a commission for each loan they sell to your new mortgage company, which is why they look for loans over a certain amount. So its not really a too good to be true scenario, its just mutually beneficial for all parties involved: you lower your rate, Interactive Mortgage does the processing and gets paid by the new mortgage company, and the new mortgage company make a ton on your interest. read more

Same issue as many others have raised. I was refinancing with them , they locked the rate for 30 days knowing that they will not meet it. Though Ravy Pov emailed saying no news is good news but I was constantly following up I was told that if they cant meet the deadline they will extend the rate lock period. Then again they could not meet the deadline again and after some drama they sent a notary to sign the loan documents. The closing date was set to 1/28 and they were not able to close it, reason Appraisal was missing, seriously ? The processor kept saying all the documents were received the loan will get funded in a day or two and finally now they are saying that the rate lock has expired. Few things that they do: 1. They do 30 days rate lock but they will tell you that the refi will take more than 45 days due to the nature of the loan and pandemic. So not sure why lock for 30 days in the first place. 2. When they extend the rate lock there was no communication on how many days they have extended the rate lock. 3. They keep asking documents even if you provided them before or if they have said it in the past that they were not required. 4. There was a water damage at the home and they were aware of it as well. 5. They see the market rates are going up and conveniently tell you that the rate lock expired and you would have to lock at higher rate if you want to proceed with the loan. I have been working with 1. I received a mailer from Winnpointe in April of 2016. I was skeptical...we receive a lot of offers on various things and they often don't deliver what they promise...but Winnpointe was different. In short, we wished to refi our primary residence and take some money to pay down on credit debt. The loan officer, Ken Notzen not only helped us do that but restructure our debt on our two rentals as well. What Ken proposed was truly brilliant--we paid off one home, took some equity out of another, and paid off credit on our primary residence as well. We now have some extra cash to make some long needed repairs and maintenance updates on both of our rentals, thus making our renters happy. But that's not all. Once Ken turned us over to Colleen, the finance wiz, we were off to the races. Both mortgages were completed within the three weeks Ken promised, but even more satisfying was that the communication was wonderful. We had a list of required documents upfront and once the process started it went as smooth as it could have been done. A couple of weeks ago, we had some business at Wells Fargo and spoke with both the Loan manager and the branch manager. We explained our Winnpointe experience to them as well as our previous experience with Wells. They did a very small refi two years ago and it took them almost 3 months to close. We never even saw the loan officer face to face--little customer service and a forever wait. But not with Winnpointe. Both Ken and Colleen were thoroughly professional, personable, and met every single one of our requirements. Their creative solutions to problems we couldn't solve on our own made the experience very satisfying. Maybe it's the specific loan people you get that makes the transaction worthwhile, but as long as these guys are in business they will have our business. read more

I was hesitant to call Winnpointe Mortgage after receiving their mailing because the offered terms simply appeared too good to be true. I did read the fine print, though, and knew that the advertised rate would apply only to 15-year loans, and therefore I knew to expect a slightly higher rate for my 20-year loan. I still was drawn to the very low closing cost offer and, after obtaining several other quotes from local lenders for comparison, I called Winnpointe and spoke to Sr. Loan Officer Art Mack. Art was the epitome of professionalism and assured me the terms of the mailing were indeed accurate. After having several realtor friends compare the terms of the different lenders, we decided to start the loan application with Winnpointe. The entire process was a breeze and we were able to sign all documents electronically. Everything moved quickly, with Art being available at all times of the day and night to answer questions and patiently provide any requested explanations. When there was an issue regarding Colorado building code, Art was already in the process of obtaining correct information, which ended up saving me time and money, before I even had the chance to ask him. When all documentation was finalized, a local notary came to our house to obtain live signatures. The whole process took about a month and we couldn't be happier with the results. Art was phenomenal to work with, straightforward, honest, reassuring and on the ball. In retrospect, making that call was the best decision I could have made for our loan refinance. I have to agree with Ben S.'s assessment from 2/16/16 that those with complaints did not read the fine print and had unrealistic expectations. his is our second refi with Interactive Mortgage is 6 months! The first refi took a mere 25 days and the whole process was straight forward and we were very happy with the total experience, but this second refi took it to a whole different level...as this one took only 15 days, from the first conversation with their representative to actual closing! We weren't looking to refi again so soon, but we got a call from one of their representatives, saying they could offer us another refi...and save us some money with a lower APR. Certainly the "save you some money" phrase caught my attention! Our first refi with Interactive Mortgage, a short 6 months ago, shaved .75% off our APR, and this new refi, again a NO COST REFI, shaved another .25% off our APR, for a total reduction of 1% from our starting APR. We just bought the home in June, 2020, and the two no-cost refi's with Interactive Mortgage in the first 9 months dropped our APR a full percentage point and almost $500/month, so to say we are excited to deal with Interactive Mortgage would be an understatement. We dealt with Jonathan McCormick on the second refi and if you can be one of the lucky customers to deal with Jonathan...you scored B-I-G...as he keeps you completely informed throughout the refi process and never failed to answer the phone when we called with a question. His attention to detail and willingness to speak to you, in a professional manner, absolutely cannot be beat. And the overall service from Interactive Mortgage ain't to shabby either. I will highly recommend both Jonathan and Interactive Mortgage to anyone I meet who expresses any interest in refinancing their existing mortgage. read more

Our experience with Art Mack (Sr. Loan Officer) & Maricel Exley (Loan Processor) from Winnpointe/Interactive Mortgage was incredible!!!!! They processed our 15 year loan in 13 days...from our first contact to closing! They were able to have the appraisal waived, since values were going up in our area in Redmond, WA. I've been in banking in the past, & have gotten numerous mortgages for our homes & rentals, & can't really believe it closed in 13 days! Our rate was the lowest available, & believe me...I checked around. Even the other mortgage companies couldn't believe how low the APR was, which included fees! I'm a very detailed person & ask a lot of questions, & Art always answered my calls immediately or called me back within the hour. He was professional, knowledgeable, polite, & I totally trusted him, even though I knew nothing about him or Winnpointe prior to this experience. He made me feel like we were his most important clients...like he really cared! Maricel worked so hard on getting all our loan documents processed & approved, prior to the end of the month, which was amazing! She even worked late into the evening on numerous occasions, to make sure this would close before we went on vacation. Both Art & Maricel went way beyond the call of duty! They are a great team! I have had a couple nightmare mortgage companies that we dealt with in the past, & I can't say enough positive things about Art & Maricel & Winnpointe/Interactive Mortgage! If you are here and reading this review, you are lucky that I have saved your money and time. These guys are real scammers. They lure in customers with some small advertised rates and get the refi process started, later they will increase the rate when you are close to closing of the loan and will be forced to take their higher rates as you would have lost all the time. The agent who may talk really sweet initially, will not respond to your calls/emails during the process, and make sure you are in deep in to the refi process and can close only with them even with the higher rates. If you go to BBB and check their reviews (pics attached), everyone is talking about the same thing there, which I too personally experienced. Would highly recommend to avoid them at any cost and save your time and money. I had reached all the way till their execs to get my issue resolved, and they won't even care to give you a call or talk to you. I recently refinanced my primary residence in Sacramento and was pleased once again to be assisted by Art Mack in the process. I had refinanced both of my properties a few years ago and was so impressed by Art's knowledge and by his infinite patience answering my hundreds of questions that I resolved to keep his private cell number and contact him for any future refinancing. I was really happy that Art was still in the refinancing business. With the expert help of his team member Alex KO, the entire refinancing process was efficient, seamless, professionally done and concluded in the shortest time possible. This is my first home and my first "ReFi", so even though I'm a pretty competent person, I was very green, cautious, and nervous about it. So I really did my due diligence when looking for a mortgage company to do my refinancing of my home. I had narrowed it down to the company I currently had my mortgage with- and two others (Interactive being one of them) and was Alex ever the right choice!!! Alex Reyes was patient, kind, knowledgeable, experienced, and EXTREMLY professional. He went above and beyond explaining (and reexplaining) the processes, and all the legalities associated with doing a Refi. Alex made me feel comfortable and confident that I had chosen the right lender (over and over again! Poor guy! LOL) and he streamlined the entire process (making it SO easy for me to get him what they needed) and assisted me time and time again. I never once felt "handed off" to anyone or "just a number" (especially during these times when I know EVERYONE and their dogs are getting refinanced)... instead, I felt as though he was virtually holding my hand through the whole thing and feel sooooo grateful and blessed he was referred to me. I really can't say enough good things about Alex Reyes and Interactive Mortgage. Best part: I was successfully funded in record time. Bo Lucas is a good loan servicer. I hope they work out my closing soon. Interactive morgage is a great american company. I talked to Bo a month ago and he made the job simple they get it done with there interactive experience as well. I hope they will offer to serve my loan as well for higher interest rate. Talk to bo at interactive morgage he knows his stuff been in the bussiness since 1997 . Its all digital so easy process to go through as well. Close in record time . Most small companys dont call u back he does he was on the phone with till the end. I hope they will find a solution to get the loan through soon. Interactive morgage is is near disney land to so there a local company be. I wish Bo the best and he a great man and loan officer for industry very honest and knows his stuff. Remember talk to bo he will make make ur inter active experience awesome . Again all online as well. No upfront fees as well . They pay for appraiser as well. I spent many, many hours looking for the best refi rate, no cost loan, but also a company with good reviews. Interactive mortgage easily beat the competition. I initially called the 800 number and spoke with a random loan officer who was nice and informative. So I responded to his invitation email to a loan application link with some basic follow up questions, but got no response. And I'm not the type of person to chase someone down who is to busy for my business. I was disappointed, since the general reviews and loan terms were so great. I returned to all the positive Yelp reviews and many times I repeatedly saw Thomas Kim with rave reviews. I called his direct line 949-385-8273, also found on the Interactive website, had a brief conversation, got him the requested documents and had my rate locked in 24hrs with better terms than the first guy. I then was connected up with Dominique Nguyen, my loan processor. He is fantastic, and an excellent communicator. He returns emails with lightning speed. Our loan was pretty simple, but I was still shocked it only took two weeks to fund. And it was a true no cost loan. WOW! Thomas and Dominique are true professionals that made this process quick and easy. Learn from my initial mistake, it matters who you work with. Well, I am not much of a "post a review" person but I will give credits where credit is due. My experience has been a positive one. This is my third time refinancing with Interactive Mortgagae and I have to say that I have been very impressed by the overall great customer service and the final numbers Thomas Kim and team have provided me. I have done my research and spoke with other lenders prior to my first time refinancing a while ago and Thomas was able to get me a very competitive interest rate with no closing costs, Yes! You heard that right! I tried other lenders that offered the same product but at the end, the final numbers had their usual costs associated with refinancing a loan. Second time, checked other lenders but Interactive and Thomas was best choice. Third time and even better. I was able to lower my interest rate even more and did not have to pay any closing costs again! in comparison with another lender, it was a very easy decision to make. And I did have to spend time checking with other lenders. Thomas, you are very good at following up and communication,; aside from me and you having all my paperwork ready to go, was key to getting everything done in a very smooth and timely manner. Lee Lopez and Jame Barker at Winnpointe did an incredible job refinancing my house. They were fantastic to work with, stayed right on the process and made sure that everything worked very quickly. I had been working with PHH mortgage, and even though they had my mortgage for twelve years without a missed payment they were taking over 5 months to refinance. I received a letter from Winnpointe and was lucky enough to talk with Lee. He gave me the rundown, and told me rough numbers in a really nice no pressured approach. So the next week, I called him back and he begin the process. It was wonderful, they were quick, the application process and initial signatures were all done online, they locked me in at a great rate, then James and Lee followed up. They moved me through the process in a few weeks - I could not believe how easy it was. And then to top it off, I had been traveling and we needed to wrap up the loan signing so they sent out a notary to my house who met me at 11pm at night when I had been delayed by flights all day. I could not believe it. This is one of the easiest, least expensive and best financing experiences I have ever had.
