Was looking for a reliable company to ship my daughter's car as we ran into trouble last year when our new Mercedes was shipped from California and was damaged. The shipper had a ridiculous insurance policy that required you to obtain three estimates for repair and have them submitted in on their desk within 72 hours. Fortunately, the dealer covered the damage. This time we were doing the shipping ourselves from Seattle to Rochester, New York and were given a reference to ITL by our financial advisor as one of their people had used them. Lisa was very helpful and reassuring. They were able to get our shipment scheduled with minimal delay. As you know, ITL arranges for the shipment but the car gets put on any number of trucks during transport. My daughter reports her car has arrived on time and other than dust, in great shape. The people at Interbay were great from the get-go. Nate was helpful at the beginning and Lisa was helpful afterwards. The problem I had was with the driver of the transportation company they hooked me up with. Having never moved a vehicle across the country before, I was not familiar with what to look for. Our driver lacked communication (he arrived a full day earlier than planned, didn't update me as promised along the route and then arrived in Austin earlier than he said). I was so thrilled to be reunited with my car, I walked around the outside, saw no damage and signed my life away. The driver left and when I got in my car later, I realized it was a mess. I have a light colored leather interior and there were black handprints EVERYWHERE - the ceiling, the back seats, the front seats, the head rests. He had also obviously laid our back seats down and there were scratches in the trunk of our SUV. My husband and I had the car washed and spent an hour trying to get his greasy hand prints off everything. There are still a few left but it's better now. We think he used our vehicle to transport something inside. But that's not ITL's fault. I should have looked on the inside and Lisa at ITL did everything she could to make things right. read more

I used this company for my second cross country move. During my first move, it took over two weeks to get my car and it arrived completely filthy on the outside and with a bent antenna. I decided to use ITL based on the Yelp reviews and am so glad I did. Nate and his assistant were super responsive and worked with me to find a pick up day that fit my schedule. The actual truck driver was friendly, thorough with the car check and fast. My car arrived to me in less than a week--two and a half weeks earlier than my other belongings. The car was in the exact same condition as when I dropped it off and it was still clean. Hardest decision to decide what firm to contact. I went on a web site that you submit a bid. The vultures descended on email, text and calls in moments. The $800 bids I knew damn well were sketchy. These assholes called me and texted me for a week after I replied no or stop on the texts. One even called me out and doubted my decision. Excuse me? Reading, reading reading I finally found Nate from Interbay. Trusting the sweet yelpers that looked like they had more than 10 reviews, I picked Interbay. My car was in Seattle- I am in Austin. My job has me traveling like crazy and I was unfortunately scheduled to be out on the road when my car was projected to arrive. Nate was made aware- it wasn't his fault. Somehow by a miracle, I landed at DFW and got a voice mail that the driver was near Austin. As it turned out, I landed, took a cab to the Barton Creek Mall with luggage and there was my Mercedes! We first tried using someone else who gave us a quote but then ended up wanting $300 more when they found a driver. I called Nate at ITL and he gave us a great quote and when the car was picked up the charge did not change. I cannot say enough good things about how helpful and responsive Lisa at Interbay Transport is. She arranged for our car to be transported to North Carolina in January of 2014 as well as having it returned to Seattle from North Carolina in May of 2015. She made all of the arrangements for me and I all had to do was provided her with an address, vin number and a check. She handled the details and every thing happened exactly as she said it would, when she said it would. For the return transport, I was contacted personally by the driver, who surprised me by saying that the car would arrive five days earlier than I had expected. Then he surprised me further by driving the car right into the driveway, early within the time 3 hour window he had predicted. My house is hard to find and I live at the bottom of a steep, winding hill. The transporter parked his huge truck on the side of the road at the top of our hill and drove the car down to deliver it personally. I expected that he would find a street somewhere that was convenient to him and I would have to find a ride to meet him and take possession of the car there. If I ever need to ship a car again, I will certainly contact Interbay Transport and ask them to handle the transaction. read more

I contact Interbay to transport my car from Bellevue, WA to NY, NY. The process of smooth up until delivery and it all went downhill from there. Upon delivery of the vehicle, the vehicle was damaged in multiple areas (several long & deep scratches driver side, 2 rock chips on hood) and was reported immediately. Their contracted truck driver from Fast Freight Trucking Inc. had the audacity to rush me even though he neither gave me a heads up nor delivered it to the right location. I had to go 15 minutes out of my way to pick up my car because him and his son were apparently "late". Not only that, they decided to double park on one of NYC's busiest Manhattan streets. Since the idiot driver parked in such a tense and fast-paced environment, I quickly signed the release form without even inspecting my vehicle (100% my fault) since I was also being rushed by the two of them. I contacted Lisa at Interbay immediately after I parked and had a chance to peacefully inspect the vehicle, calling her multiple times and her a email with all the picture proofs of damages. No one at either Interbay or Fast Freight Trucking (contracted shipping courier) bothered to contact me for another 3 months until I contacted Fast Freight myself. Vitaliy (suppose owner) calls me to ask me why I signed the papers even though I had explained their mentally challenged driver decided to park 15 minutes away in a very tense and fast paced environment. Vitaliy then goes on to belittle me and accuse me of creating the damages myself even though there are multiple dated before pictures and I had reported the damages immediately (you can't get a rock chip on NYC streets lol). From the quote you get within an hour or two of your request, to the fact you only have to explain your vehicle/needs once and every promise they make is kept. I had horrible experiences with other car shipping companies. Some take your $ after promising they'll find someone then leave you out to dry...not Interbay! Nate got my quote, and although it was more than other cheapos, the yelp reviews convinced me to try it. Within a few days they had a carrier scheduled and got my car picked up by the most professional and clearly experienced driver. Was able to communicate with Lisa at Interbay the entire time, as I was nervous and skeptical after being burned a few times by other shipping companies. She kept me reassured all would be fine, and sure enough, my car arrived in Florida right on time and as good as new. Payment is hassle-free, and if any questions come up you can rest assured Lisa will be happy to answer them. I initially booked an auto shipment with a major national moving broker. They offered me a price I later discovered was several hundred dollars below the market price for a coast-to-coast auto shipment. I then waited 5 weeks just for the car to be picked up. Finally they called to say a driver was ready to pick the car up, but they needed an extra $350. I refused as protest against this bait and switch tactic. So I contacted Interbay and they gave me an honest quote from the beginning, and then got the car from the east coast to Seattle in just over 2 weeks with no damage and good service. I needed to write this review because my experience had very little resemblance to all the 5 star ratings. The first issue is that only 5 star ratings are shown so it will be interesting to see if this remains on the site. I chose ITL because they were local. They were more money but I was extremely anxious with all the companies and their claims. Based on the reviews and the local contact, I contracted with them. I had to change the date of the pickup and from that point, I seemed to be blamed for every failing. I COULD not receive any tracking information. I was just told (by Lisa) the car would arrive between 8 and 11 days from date of pickup. On the evening of the 8th day, I received a call saying the car had broken down and needed to be repaired. They were hoping to get it to me by the 11th day. I was told by Lisa that there was no way to track the car and I would just have to wait until the driver called me. It was supposed to be delivered on the 12th day. Waited and waited. Talked to Lisa on the 13th day who had alternated between being very good to chastising me to telling me the car was picked up a day later than it was to recalculate the days to saying it was really all my fault . Blame the customer. Nate's respond was to send me a copy of the contract which tells you that nothing is their fault. I was aware of that but surprised by the lack of interest in customer satisfaction. On day 13, I waited all day and it did not come. Lisa said it would be day 14 that the car would arrive. Lisa is very good at one word responses so I thought she had confirmed the car's delivery for day 14. When it did not arrive on day 14, I received another email that was sharp and unforgiving stating that I was just "one customer" and there are others. Each day I wait and wait and cannot make plans. ITL has my money and my vehicle and will not/ does not offer any other information besides I will get a call 2 hours before it is delivered...whenever that may be. I feel like I was being shifted from the angry Lisa to the kinder Lisa although I do not believe there was any reason for this aggression. Lisa verbally offers to talk to Nate about a refund/discount for this trouble. She says it will be small. I paid $1200 and she said they would send a check for $50. Their disclaimers say they are not responsible for anything but customer service goes a long way. I received a check. It was $25.00. It was not about the money but I consider this more insulting than trying to appease an unhappy customer. And I do not believe I can be the only one who had an experience like this. In clear terms, Lisa told me more than once that there is no way to track the car and just wait until they call. I waited from day 8 through day 15, everyday waiting. Hard to believe that all those 5 star ratings were only random reviews and not carefully chosen. read more

I needed to transport a car from NC to Seattle without a lot of notice. ALL of the transport companies I talked to were quoting the same exact price and their reviews were spotty at best. I chose Interbay because they were knowledgeable and honest. They explained the system of hiring and contracting out the work and told me that our carrier would not ever come up with some "extra fees" due to weather or whatever, as can be customary. Our vehicle was picked up the very next day, and though our contact information was not toally ironed out by then, the driver was persistent and called all the numbers to reach us. The car arrived road dirty as would be very normal and the transport truck was full. I ahve NEVER seen a loader like this one, it takes a mechanical genius to run it. Our driver kept in touch with us all day on delivery day. We tipped him with goodies and homemade jam, and in a heartbeat I would call this company again. I paid about 250.00 over the rest of the competition, but they are local to Seattle and have a vested interest in keeping local people happy. Good JOB! read more

I am currently deployed overseas and purchased a 2014 Mitsubishi Evolution located in Seattle, WA. I needed to transport that vehicle to Corona, CA before my home coming. I contacted those high rated broker companies and they kept referring me to a shady transport company with terrible reviews and all I could find were horror stories from previous customers. I was close to giving up until my wife suggest I look on yelp, I found Interbay Transport and my prayers were answered. I requested a quote via their website and received a great deal, but if that wasn't enough they also gave me a military discount! I had some additional questions so I emailed Nate and he was extremely helpful and quick to respond back to me. I was sold and completed my order on Tuesday at 10am. The next morning I received an email stating that Lisa would be working on my order and that she had a carrier scheduled to pick up the vehicle later that day. The car was picked up at 11am on Wednesday. So far, I was very surprised with how quickly the process had been initiated. The car was originally scheduled to arrive a week later from the pick up date. On Thursday afternoon I was informed that they would be in the area the next day so they would be able to deliver the car early. The car was delivered on Friday evening at 6pm. Needless to say I was left in awe from their ridiculously fast service. It is a total of 1,990 miles from Seattle to Corona and thanks to Interbay Transport the task of transporting my vehicle was completed in an incredible 4 days from start to finish. I'd like to thank them so much for their awesome work, I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to transport their vehicle. What an amazing company! I am ecstatic about the amazing service I received with Interbay Transport Logistics. My husband and I moved to Arizona from Washington and planned on driving separate cars. At the last minute we decided that we would prefer to ride together and took to the web to find a shipping company. We contacted Nate at ITL two days before the move and before we even left town everything was in place and ready to go. The quote we got over the phone was the exact amount we paid. A month ago, I had to move to Seattle for job relocation and I contacted Interbay to ship my car from Austin to Seattle. Overall experience was great with Nate. He promptly responded and followed up with a quote and spent time explaining the process. A pickup date I had was less than two weeks from the date I called but Nate helped manage the pickup and delivery schedule effectively and accurately, and I meant it. The pickup driver was on time and the delivery date was a day early than I expected. However, the driver managed to deliver during the time slot that I was available to meet me at the convenient location for both of us.
