I take my daughter here for ABA therapy and Social Skills. As a first time parent, a registered…read morenurse, and as my daughter's advocate, I researched a lot and compared which is the best facility for my daughter. Choosing Holding Hands over other facilities is the best decision I have made. Everything is clean ( including their restrooms) Toys are sanitized and well organized. Everyone is friendly and warm. One more thing I love about this facility is that they LISTEN. It is very important to me that people will listen to my concerns, and even if I dont say it, they will give suggestions and inform me of what I need to know, they are able to adjust to and accomodate my requests to meet the needs of my daughter and they were able to resolve issues professionally in a timely manner. Our BCBA Michelle and Janise are very smart, competent and knowledgeable, my daughter's therapist, Angela, is very professional, efficient and dedicated to her work. All of them have been very supportive, understanding and patient, I cant thank them enough for everything they have done. My daughter is hyperactive and runs away from me, she refused to hold my hand or sit still when needed, thats why its hard for me to take her out in public places by myself, its always been a struggle, but she has changed so much just a few weeks of her session, I will never forget the day I was able to take my daughter with me as I run errands, she walked next to me holding my hand. We were able to overcome elopement challenges because of their help. I have learned so much from them and appreciate everyone in this facility.

I would encourage you to try elsewhere for ABA. I'm sure the issues Kyo is having other ABA…read moreagencies are also having, but we are ready to move on. The BTs that come to your home are incredibly young and untrained. they do little actual behavioral interventions- they just kind of sit near them and sometimes play. The supervising BCBAs- we haven't had much luck. Not very engaged or available for questions; and not training their BTs. We were just told our new bcba will be 100% virtual. How is that supposed to work that's outrageous. I do not feel the ABA at Kyo has benefited my kid in any way.

Then she says she will go onto the portal and read my medical records and call back to schedule an appt. She calls back and says they don't make appts. Without medical records, which the doctor sent three days ago. But now the office is closed, it's 3 PM but she stated they were open till 5PM. No wonder otger people rated him a 3. No thanks buddy, there are plenty others out there.

They are not professional, and the worst part is that they never answers the phone calls. if you call them, there is a introductory prompt saying that "Patients with any urgent issues, or if you call from hospital with urgent issues, press Zero, then the representative will asnwer you" . Ok, so I press Zero, but still it gets to the answering service, who cannot help me at all. The answering service will take the message for the office staffs, that's it. AND THEY NEVER CALL ME BACK. I've called them more than 15 times on ONE DAY, spoken with multiple answering service staffs only. ALL 15 phone calls get to the answering service 15 times. THEY WILL NOT ANSWER YOUR CALL at all at the office. Very hard to communicate and hard to work with them. Seriously dissapointed.

Prior to him attending Helping Hands, he was saying his ABCs and 123s but not correctly. He's been non verbal basically and still can't put a sentence together, but now he started saying mom and dad because of this program. They work with him and use different methods and tactics, and also positive reinforcements, that I honestly need to work on. They communicate with me daily to let me know his progress and how I can also help him at home. I'm very happy with this program and the amazing people who put in the time to help these kids thrive and I'm so glad I found them.

Unfortunately, this business will do more harm than good…read more Silverlake Psychology is stressful to work with. This for-profit is a fraud. You only have access to people answering phones in their homes, who "can't help you." Staff "managers" only have personal phones, and do not call or respond to patient needs. They fraudulently bill, and send that in emails with "no-reply email address." Silverlake Psychology 'caregivers' provided malpractice and fraud. It is well documented in our case. Everyone should know, and have a choice and be informed. SLP are not what their website pretends. It is a stressful world. We have the right to be informed and make choices that bring about good health and support community. Unfortunately, Silverlake Psychology does more harm than good. They are dishonest and unethical. I had a painless onboarding experience with silver lake psychology and appreciated that very much. I started seeing my new therapist Nadia S. a few months ago after searching for a therapist who could meet my pretty unique circumstances. Oh what am I saying, we all have unique circumstances! Anyway, it can be very difficult to find someone that you can connect with, especially right away, and I felt an instant connection to Nadia in our very first psychotherapy session. I don't feel like I am in a therapy session when I'm talking to Nadia. That might sound like a bad thing but for me it's not. Prior therapists would make it very evident that there was a power dynamic between therapist and patient but Nadia does not do that. She's very good about soliciting feedback to make sure that we are connecting well enough and whether she is the right fit for me. She offers different modalities of therapy and because I have a background in mental health and counseling I knew what I definitely did not want based on bad experiences with previous therapists in the past. Nadia is very easy to talk to, has a wonderful sense of humor, and is extremely flexible should you need to make some last minute adjustments as long as it doesn't become routine. I know that I shouldn't be saying this because it's probably a big no-no but if Nadia was not my therapist I could totally see her being my friend. Maybe in the next life! :)
