Raman and team at Intercrus Decks where highly responsive, honest and professional from beginning to end. I contacted 6 different companies and received drastically different quotes and varied responses on my vinyl deck project. However among all the companies we have contacted Raman was the most competent in understanding what really needed to be done. He took his time to come see my old deck in person and then explain everything in details while answering every question I had about it. Knowing I was not being overcharged gave me peace of mind because I also knew I found a great team for my project on vinyl decking. I highly recommend calling Raman and his team!!!!! Trustworthy and Skilful. Thank you.

I added a picture for reference. We didn't have any special requests for the new deck so it was a standard deck replacement project. Estimates: Dmitriy came out soon after we contacted Open Space Design. He had good suggestions on how to tweak the layout of the new deck to move the stairs to a better place. The estimate provided was right around what we expected to pay. We got other estimates but the other decking companies we tried didn't really listen to our requests for simplicity, and as such, their estimates were much higher. Build: It was about a month or so from estimate to build which was quick. Jose and his crew were great. From soup to nuts, I think they completed the project in about a week. The weather was typical for Seattle this time of year, sunny one minute and pouring the next, but they kept on going all day long regardless. I couldn't be happier with the look and quality of the new deck. You can tell when people are experts in their craft. If I ever need a new deck, I will be calling Dmitriy again.

My deck took some punishment when a tree from the property owned by Normandy Park Town Center's absentee owner came down. They used all of the same materials as the original and it looks terrific. Elijah walked us through the different cedar and post options, which was very helpful. When our neighbors expressed interest in having part of their fence done as well, Elijah was happy to meet with them promptly to provide a quote. Andreii was extremely communicative and kept us updated throughout the project. They completed our fence (including our neighbor's portion) in just 2.5 days. Our fence required some shrubs to be trimmed, which they handled as well for no extra cost. They did a great job cleaning up afterward. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the work and the overall experience. Highly recommend Optima!

The estimate included every detail. Work began within days and was finished after two days. The workers were polite and hard working showing great patience with changes made during construction. Nothing was sloppy as even precise cuts were made where needed. Double and single gates included steel posts for extra strength. A baseboard along the entire fence keeps animals from digging under it and holds back ground where it was uneven. On top of all this the price was reasonable and competitive. Optima gets my highest recommendation.

They were affordable, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with my needs and my budget. They were able to obtain the permits that were needed which is an important and valuable service. They also took care of the structural engineering that was needed to make sure that we had sufficient support for the deck. Their showroom is very helpful. There are samples and some mockups of decks, railings, lighting, etc. There are lots of options and the staff was great about explaining the options but not pressure-upselling. I felt comfortable choosing the materials and extras with their help. After the project was finished, there was one support post that didn't look finished to me when I looked at it from our dining room window. All Decks was great about coming out. After seeing and understanding what I wanted to upgrade, they were able to install a matching trim piece that made the post look complete. The deck has been installed now since Oct 2024. It still looks great and I couldn't be happier.

Pricing was very competitive. Alex and his crew did a fantastic job installing my deck stairs and porch, they are beautifully done and very sturdy. Far better than what we had before. They were there within 2 days of hire and completed the work within 2 days. We told them not to paint but Alex threw in paint for just the cost of materials, which was nice. Although, I wish I had some say on the color since they didn't ask beforehand and I would have loved a natural stain instead. The crew was very kind, they'd even bring my packages into the garage for me and make sure to close the garage door when they were done. The work is sturdy, done right, and I feel confident will last. My only point of advice is to just be more mindful of the garden. I had just purchased and planted 6 new plants and had a succulent ground cover I had been working to grow out for years. It was all so trampled I thought maybe they had dug it out at first. It would have been nice to get warning so I could dig it up myself (since it was fresh planted) or for them to step around it. Overall, I'd definitely hire GAB again (and likely will to finish our deck soon) and will reccomend them to friends and family. They're responsive, quick, easy to communicate with, the work looks beautiful and done right, and the value for the price is terrific.

I thought the estimate was fair and appropriate for the cost of the materials, the demo, and the labor. I had a new, completely rebuilt dock, which is fabulous. They kept the area clean while they were working, and I barely knew they were there, totally respectful. I am so happy to have my dock back so that I can play on the lake.

After getting several bids, I went with Vitaliy (owner) and his team. Here's why: - Vitaliy was exceptionally clear, punctual, and spoke in facts (he was not at all sales-y). - He did what he said he'd do (call me back, or prepare an estimate) when he said he'd do it. From the first interaction, it was clear he has high integrity. - Vitaliy noticed critical details (such as the fact that none of my windows had flashing!) that nobody else documented in quotes or discussed with me. - And, his responses to my questions were patient and thorough. Vitaliy helped me understand all the aspects of the project and design choices, which helped me feel confident and supported. And then the work began! - Slavic and Alex were assigned to my project and wow - they are exceptionally skilled and hard working! - Slavic and Alex have great attention to detail. The siding work is very precise and they made simple and beautiful enhancements along the way (like swapping out old and poorly installed vents). - Rot was discovered under a stairway off my kitchen, and I decided to have the staircase rebuilt. It is beautiful. They even noticed that the original staircase had a weird drop off from the interior floor and corrected that so there's now a seamless landing that is much safer and easier to use. The work Slavic and Alex did on this part of the build is as high quality as their siding work. - The work site was always SUPER tidy. Slavic and Alex took great care to clean up as they worked, paid attention to simple details like ensuring nails were picked up and that hose covers were back on (winter months), and they were very respectful of the driveway which I share with my neighbors. - Throughout the installation, Vitaliy kept me updated via text, phone calls, and site visits. I always knew where things stood and what degree of rot was uncovered (or not) at the end of a demolition day. The level and consistency of communication was outstanding. This is the biggest home project I have ever tackled, and it was by far the easiest. And that is because of Vitaliy, Slavic, and Alex. Their communication and the quality of their work is exceptional. Hire these folks!

While I'm walking my dog on my own property, Mr. Sanderson drives by and begins to yell obscenities at me, says he's been looking me up on LinkedIn and doesn't approve of my career choices. He then begins to shout about how he's made millions of dollars in startups as a salesman or something and I'm just standing there bemused that this grown man is actually driving past a former customer's home to harass and intimidate. I've notified the Seattle police department about this encounter and plan to record the next time he behaves in this way so I can turn over this video to the authorities. I hope it doesn't happen again but given his behavior to date, I'm definitely ready for it! He's now spent months continuing to tell lies and spin the truth - he even tried to get the Better Business Bureau to throw out my complaint and tried to convince them that I was not an actual customer. The BBB quickly approved my complaint after I sent them documentation, and meanwhile he continued to press them and accused the BBB of not doing their job very well. I've never been through an experience like this with a contractor who would harass a customer after full payment but it just goes to show you really have to be careful choosing who to work with.

In early fall, we hired contractor Josh Sanderson of Azimuth Works for an exterior window and deck…read morerestoration project and had a very negative experience. Initially the project seemed to go well. We signed onto a bid that provided low- and high-end estimates of labor and material costs. Only part way into the project, however, we received an invoice that, together with the deposit, equaled the high-end estimate for the entire project. We were very surprised by the invoice since the project was not near completion. We also had unsettling interactions with Mr. Sanderson just before and during the new billing. The first occurred earlier on the day before receiving the new invoice. In a conversation about how work was progressing and our desire to have more priority given to our project, the contractor began shouting insults while on our property and continuing as he got into his car. We tried to lower the tension level with appeals for reasonable dialogue to no avail. Two days after we received the invoice, at 6:30 in the morning, while it was still dark out, we were awakened by a police officer at our door informing us Mr. Sanderson allegedly had tried that morning to remove the stack of boards (which hadn't yet been installed) from our porch. Later that same morning, we received an email threatening a lawsuit unless we paid the invoice immediately. This occurred even though we had communicated the day before to Mr. Sanderson that we were reviewing the invoice. Note, for clarification: We had discussed modest additions to the scope of restoration. Only one of those ideas, a strip of wood around the outside of the porch, had been completed, and was included in the new bill. Other potential additions did not and could not factor into the billing since no work had been applied to them. We paid the remaining bill although the work was far from complete. We wanted to have no more dealings with this contractor. We would like to emphasize that clients have the right to review and question billing and other work-related issues without having the threat of lawsuits and other intimidating actions aimed at them. Looking back, we regret we did not research the reviews and complaints on consumer sites, such as Yelp and the Better Business Bureau before starting the project.
