This is the worst facility you could put your parent in or have to go to yourself. I ended up filing several MAARC reports on them. The nursing director was proactive and had no idea that the female nurses were so negligent in their duties. My mother was there and requested FEMALE- only assistance with toileting since she has had some trauma in this area. She had a female PCA who did what she was supposed to do to assist her. My mother was physically on the toilet when her pca's break time came, the pca went and notified all 4 female nursing staff on shift. They did nothing. My mother was still sitting on the toilet for 1 hour before her PCA came from break and found her where she left her. All four female nurses were there, doing nothing but talking. During the PCA's break the male PCA came to ask my mother if he could help AND requested the female nurses attend to her. They refused. My mother called me crying to explain the situation and I called them immediately. The director was requested and when I explained how unacceptable it was that there were four nurses there who refused to act, one nurse responded "I was right there and she refused the male PCA's assistance. I asked her why she specifically failed to act, since she was "right there" and was advised that "toileting was not her job". I explained last I knew, personal care was a nurses job in a TCU. I explained there are many nurses who have helped with toileting and she belonged in a different field if she couldn't remember where she started out and that she was coverage for the PCA when they went on lunch. We removed my mother immediately from this facility. The director advised me that she "coached" the negligent nurse. This was all private pay... NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. read more

The worst experience I have ever had with a TCU facility. My mother was there for a fractured tibia. Was left for 35+ minutes with no response after pushing the call button -then the nurse refused to assist my mother with toileting after my mother requested a female- only male assistants were on that night. My mother needed full transfer assistance and assistance to get out of bed and do any movement. My mother was left on the toilet for 55 minutes. No female faculty responded to the 5 times she pushed her call button, and 3 female nurses were on staff at the time this happened! One nurse heard my mother refuse the male assistant and NEVER went to ask my mother what was wrong they left her sit!!!! The Nursing Director called my mother a "special case" since we filled out a MAARC report and let the facility know we did this, they had time to "prepare" for the State to come out to investigate them. The director explained a grievance was filled out, and "training on communication was done", "nurses were reminded that they were responsible for the entire care circle when assistants are not there." My mother was yelled at by one of the workers when she explained to her the care she needed from her. The state of MN won't do anything since "corrective action" was in place when they came out there. What a joke this place is!! The only good thing is the PT - Scott was amazing. My mother was charged for OT that never happened. They pop in and out and "have no real schedules, just let the patients sleep until they wake up." DO NOT bring your loved one's here. My mother was there from 12/28/2023-1/11/2024 when she went into the hospital since they let her sit too long and she had other things happen to her as result of this. read more

Excellent service. Smiles all around. Nursing a bit three-quarters, in my opinion, as I suffered from significant pain and often resisted providing pain killers per schedule, required talks with Dr. on call to correct. Support staff during daytime shifts were responsive and extremely helpful, graveyard shift, however, was less than adequate. Not responsive nor informational when needing to report when a nurse would be delayed. They would often simply leave me to stew wondering what was up, unable to sleep or get up because my fractured leg and knee, wrist and elbow sprains rendered my left arm unusable. The PT & OT were absolutely five star. They urged me forward without shaming and with full explanations. While my technical and scientific degrees gave me much understanding there was much they helped me learn. There were some things that I was asked to try when I arrived that were impossible. When I left, they weren't easy, but I could complete them. Grunting, holding on to headboard, grimacing, even sweating! But, I did what thought impossible. I tear up thinking about it. I am 63 after all. It's ok. If offered, don't say no to this joint. Ain't perfect, but it was exactly what a whiny guy like me needed. read more
