So Intermountain Gas is holding my money hostage. I mistakenly paid my mortgage to the gas company. As soon as i realized it i contacted Intermountain Gas, my bank and my mortgage company. I provided all documents to the gas company showing that the payment was made and has cleared my bank. This was on the 15th of March. So i have been waiting for the electronic refund since then. Well i got a call yesterday from customer service saying that i wont be getting an electronic refund because the bank info is incomplete. I explained the bank sent what they can and keep stuff secure. Well now i have to wait 10 business days then if the electronic payment i made to them clears. Then they will send me a paper check and should have it in 2 weeks. This seems like they just want to hold my money instead of do the correct and right thing by issuing my refund. Oh and the electronic payment cannot be reversed because the system removes the money from my account and into Bill Pay system and pay the payment. So Gas company quit dragging your feet and return my almost $3000. Please. read more

Absolutely ridiculously run company. There is no way to make a payment online without giving them ALL YOUR BANKING INFORMATION. Super ridiculous. You can't pay with a card. + The Sign In online REQUIRES to send a text to your phone = I HATE THAT. I am NOT a fan of this company. read more

I am pissed! I was paying $18 PER MONTH ALL LAST YEAR.. a few months ago they DOUBLED IT! T explanation I got was every year they check my usage to figure out my new level pay amount.. It went up tp $39.00. Now TODAY I get another bill with a new amount of $45.00! WHAT? It definitely has not been no year and it should NOT be being raised! What the heck is going on? Changed the address for billing on a home in the North End of Boise...Did so exactly as instructed by a online service person. Got a confirmation letter the next week. Stopped by the house today, and inside was 48 degrees. No heat. Called Intermountain gas service, and they said it was "Disconnected". I explained my situation, and previous discussion with service. The technician today read aloud the note from that call, which explicitly described what I was attempting to do. She apologized. A mistake was made... Now, being a Friday, and that they dont work on Sat/Sun...I have to be available Monday on '20 minutes' notice of phone call to meet a service tech at the house. So much for Mondays schedule. You suck suck suck suck, you guys apparently came and turned our gas off two days ago my son just showed my the flyer this morning because we have no hot water and your attendant never even rang our doorbell or anything either my son was home and he found the stupid door tag when he was leaving and forgot to mention it to me regardless I just checked my online bill and I screen shot it but you apparently can't upload pictures on here in order to call you out on your error, it states my bill is not even due for five more days. WTH! Now your gonna try and charge me a fee to turn it back on when it should have never been shut off in the first place, bullcrap! $88 dollar fee to have services turned back on and a $22 fee for the service call even though my bill wasn't due until 6-5-17 total bullcrap and to boot I in order to have you turn services back on somebody has to be home even though nobody had to be home for you to shut it off, and we are perfectly able to light our pilot light ourselves and based on prior comments by other just as pleased customers I am sure the 20 minute phone call prior to arrivaI will probably not happen, rediculous. Thanks for the motivation to save and rewire our house for electric so we give you a big middle finger salute. The gas company decides to install a new meter. Fails to tell me that they are doing so. After the installation no one relit the pilot light so the heat obviously does not work. Called several times to schedule an appointment. The personnel show up unannounced and thus no one is home. Luckily the gas is only connected to my shop. 2 years later they send out a tech to try and find out why we are using no gas. The story is explained that they changed meters. He asks to look at my heater. I turn on the thermostat, no gas kicks on. He stands there, never climbs the ladder to look if the pilot light is activated. Instead says that there must be a clog in a 8 foot line. Its explained that Int Gas never lit the pilot light, however he made every excuse in the book describing how this is not an Intermountain Gas problem and then left. Great customer service for a problem created by the gas company from day one. Ready to call and have them totally disconnect and go to electrical after all they were only worried about why a high bill was not being generated during the winter. And by the way I still got a bill each month that charged me for no gas use, but charged me to generate a bill for 10.00 per month for nothing. A giant THANK YOU and GREAT JOB to several folks at Intermountain Gas. For several days my daughter and son-in-law were becoming increasingly concerned that they might have a carbon monoxide (CO) problem in their apartment. On Monday afternoon they called Intermountain Gas. After some discussion and Q & A the customer service rep decided to send a service technician on an emergency, after hours service call. Shortly after he arrived he determined that they did, indeed have a serious CO problem. It was bad enough that the service technician told them, had they stayed in the apartment, they might not have survived the night!! The Intermountain tech then turned off the gas. My daughter notified the property manager that the gas had been turned off. He immediately began to rant that Intermountain had no right to turn off the gas. He was verbally abusive to my daughter and demanded to speak to the Intermountain tech. The property manager called the tech an idiot, yelled that he would be on the phone to his (the tech's) supervisor, and insulted the tech and my daughter. During several subsequent phone calls my daughter tried to explain the situation to the property manager he became very belligerent, argued with and insulted my daughter and son-in-law's intelligence. He stated several times that there was no reason for the gas to be turned off. On Wednesday 3 representatives from Intermountain Gas met with property manager at the apartment. They found numerous code violations. They made it clear that their only concern was the health and safety of Intermountain Gas customers (my daughter and son-in-law) and that the gas would remain off until these code violations were remedied. On Thursday the necessary modifications were made. Thursday evening the professionals from Intermountain Gas returned to the apartment, ran several tests and approved the modifications. They then turned the gas back on/ Again, thanks Intermountain Gas for the concern, professionalism, and integrity of your employees. read more

If I could go to another company I would. We've been on level pay for years with various houses and never had an issue until now. They put us on level pay when we moved into our house and it was apparently too low. Now they're doubling our rate because they say our balance is too high. They couldn't be bothered to make a phone call last month or even the month before that. The person i talked to treated me like we didn't pay a bill though we've paid every month on time. I tried to ask how this happened and she just goes to the whole well you used more response. It showed we were on par if not only slightly higher than the last people on my end. She refused to have anyone come check to make sure it was reading correctly saying someone had been out already which i find hard to believe since my meters are behind a fence with large dogs. I have my doubts anyone went back there. I wish we had choices in who we use. read more
