For several days my…read moredaughter and son-in-law were becoming increasingly concerned that they might have a carbon monoxide (CO) problem in their apartment. On Monday afternoon they called Intermountain Gas. After some discussion and Q & A the customer service rep decided to send a service technician on an emergency, after hours service call. Shortly after he arrived he determined that they did, indeed have a serious CO problem. It was bad enough that the service technician told them, had they stayed in the apartment, they might not have survived the night!! The Intermountain tech then turned off the gas. My daughter notified the property manager that the gas had been turned off. He immediately began to rant that Intermountain had no right to turn off the gas. He was verbally abusive to my daughter and demanded to speak to the Intermountain tech. The property manager called the tech an idiot, yelled that he would be on the phone to his (the tech's) supervisor, and insulted the tech and my daughter. During several subsequent phone calls my daughter tried to explain the situation to the property manager he became very belligerent, argued with and insulted my daughter and son-in-law's intelligence. He stated several times that there was no reason for the gas to be turned off. On Wednesday 3 representatives from Intermountain Gas met with property manager at the apartment. They found numerous code violations. They made it clear that their only concern was the health and safety of Intermountain Gas customers (my daughter and son-in-law) and that the gas would remain off until these code violations were remedied. On Thursday the necessary modifications were made. Thursday evening the professionals from Intermountain Gas returned to the apartment, ran several tests and approved the modifications. They then turned the gas back on/ Again, thanks Intermountain Gas for the concern, professionalism, and integrity of your employees.

Quit sending paper bill or emailed bill as well leaving you not knowing how much you owe then charging more for not being able to see when your bill is due or how much each month cost. If I could I'd never use this company again. Also have to call to give them the tracking number just to get your gas turned back on when it's clearly right there where your payment goes through. Wacth out for Inter Mountain Gas and make sure you check each and every bill cuz they will squeeze whatever they can out of you.

You can check their schedule, see what they've finished and what's next every day. Excellent quality. Highly recommend them! When I called for an estimate, they came out the 2nd day after calling them to take measurements and talk with us about what we wanted. One of the owners came with his project manager to take all the measurements. With another popular company you had to make an appointment and that was two weeks out. There was a one day delay due to weather. Clearly not their fault. And, we had to delay one day due to sprinkler problems. They were understanding and started again the following day. The co-owner was here everyday they were working on the project and not just to oversee it but to actually work along with his crew. They also clean up everyday when they are finished for the day and when the job was done they washed down our driveway, sidewalk, and gutters. I contacted their managers, to replace/compensate for the damage and ensure their people are much more mindful going forward. No word back from the last one I was referred to speak with. No resolution has taken place. Spoke to the Dig Line about putting in a complaint with their board and it was suggested that I file a complaint with the utility companies directly as well. Hopefully they reconsider whom they use for locating services.

March brought the severe winds that blew off some of our roof's shingles. We asked Idaho Reroof and…read moreRepair for bids on 1) repairing the roof and 2) re-shingling over the existing shingles and 3) tearing off the existing shingles and re-shingling. Since our shingles were almost 25 years old and we wanted to 'do right' by our house, we went ahead with a tear-off and re-shingle. Our bid cost was for 30-year architectural laminated fiberglass shingles from Pabco. The work was done with a 4-man team and took 2 days--1 for the tear-off, a few repairs and new underlayment, and 1 day for the full re-shingling. We were told full re-roofing could be done in 1 day, but for us there was a delay with the delivery of the shingle bundles which spread the work to the second day. "Doing it right" is the first phrase I want to highlight about the work Idaho Reroof and Repair did for us. At each step of the process, they paid attention to the details and what the roof required (whether expected or not), they implemented. We were kept in the loop and asked about decisions as the work progressed. The second description I want to pass along is "Integrity Counts". From the initial "look-see" about the roof, to the estimate, to answering questions, to the work, to clean-up, to follow-up.....the team embodied that work ethic.
