You MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to be seen! I took a photo of the number (844 number). However, I was lucky and able to walk-in right when they opened to explain my situation and they squeezed me in. Everyone else that walked-in got turned away and were told to make an appointment. Do not waste your time unless you have an appointment, I got LUCKY! Parking structure is on magnolia just before ocean on the right hand side, not sure how much it is to pay, also got lucky with street parking right on the corner where the office is located. There's a metal detector at the main entrance, so if you carry a pocket knife leave that in the car! Security will let you know what floor to go to upon entry. As for the service, I was lucky again to speak with their supervisor (Juan) who did a great job at assisting me with my issue. I closed escrow on a property over 1-1/2 years ago and they had not credited a $9k check to my account and I've been getting the "run-around" making several calls to the IRS with no resolution. He was able to verify the check cleared and input the credit for my next years tax return. They don't give confirmation numbers or any type of documentation to verify this so you'll have to take their word for it and check the system if you have an online IRS account. I was told it should be credited to me within 4-6 weeks which is better than waiting over the phone for hours just to get disconnected. I'll check back in to update my review and let you guys know if it's worth it to come in and see someone in person, or to just play the long game and hope someone over the phone can help. We went to this office twice time last month and were very positively surprised about the great treatment we got there. Barbara seems like the most senior and knowledgeable officer in the team. She took good time to help us and always come up with workable solutions. On the second time, the officer assigned to us, could not solve our problem, but Barbara jumped in and solve it after few minutes. Barbara was doing very well to help her clients and we have witnessed ourselves for a few times that she tried hard to solve problems and to help many people like us who have not much knowledge about tax issues. If you call the IRS and say you dont need an appointment for this office. CALL AND GET ONE. I walked in and no one was there but me. They couldn't take walk-ins because theres 21 appointments today. I didnt even see 1 person. And when I told them I called and didn't need an appointment, the lady tells me the IRS phone service says a lot of things. What the hell is that even supposed to mean? Trying to tell me that if I call the IRS, the office is going to tell me something different when I waste money just to get here? I have been to this location twice. Despite it being nerve racking when you owe money to the IRS. Both agents I dealt with where helpful and professional. I'm sorry I don't remember the ladies name with gray short hair. She sits at the first booth and Mr. Yonts. They are very organized and run a smooth operation here. Got a notice with a mistake which should have been obvious - phone rep argued with me about my standard deduction as a 1040SR filer - which is $14,250 they at the IRS entered $12,550 which is $1700 difference and they say I owe them $1,288 - seriously. Can't speak to any one without an apapointment and can't get through - to show them their mistake - wow - they say it takes 6 months to review my dispute by mail and getting anyne on the phone is really not happening. You have to make an appointment first, and when you come in, the security at the front tells you to come in just a couple of minutes before your appointment time. If you get there first thing in the morning at 7am to be the first in line, then you would have a better chance of getting in at 8:30am when doors actually open. They only take the first 10-15 through security... so be prepared to wait. Wear comfortable shoes because you will be standing. Bring a book, protein bar, and some water... then you'll be all set! Estimated wait time is 3-4hrs depending on how full the room is upstairs. The reception guy is very friendly and helpful. Just be sure to be clear on what exactly you are there for. You are given a number then asked to have a seated. Depending on how far back you were in line, should help you guesstimate how long you have to wait before going up to the counter. I did it! I got my income tax return stamped in less than half an hour! With no appointment and during tax season. I followed the advice of other yelpers and got there when they opened. But they will not let you even weight until 8:30 am. so I had to wait in the cafeteria until 8:30 even though I got there at 7 am. If you were there for anything else other than getting your tax return stamped, they will not see you without an appointment. So many other people there were turned away. Other than that the office is great. Clean and safe location. Parking was $12.50 however in the world trade Center building.The staff was as nice as could be considering they had to turn everyone away without an appointment. Beware! read more

I needed assistance was told it was appointment only office due to COVID. It was a battle to make an appointment but I got one came back a few days later. My issue was resolved right away. Definitely make an appointment before coming to the office. On the day of my appointment it was annoying to have to wait for the helpers. Because they had to talk to everyone who didn't have appointments. The person who helped me spent about 15 minutes talking to everyone who demanded same day service. While I was waiting patiently for an appointment. The people who didn't have an appointment turned out that their issue was caused by them and it wasn't the helpers fault. I needed my account transcripts...landline was no help... I think the IRS call service should be in serviced and educated m, if your lucky to get the person that is willing to help and know what they are doing then the 1hr wait is worth it. But its unlikely, so I came to this office that takes walk ins. I came in got a number 5mins later I came out with everything I needed. The lady was nice and friendly and knew what she was doing. By a show of hands, who likes the IRS? Yeah, that's what I thought, it's not normally a good thing when you visit Uncle Sam, but I was just there to pick up transcripts. I have to say, though that if you have an appt. it runs pretty smooth and they get you in and out of there, boot you right the heck out, yep. Which is a good thing, who wants to hang out with Uncle Sam anyways? The person taking information and giving out the numbers was great. Wish more places operated this efficiently. Once they call your number, it is a no nonsense conversation and they get right to the point. They were polite and very professional. This is a prime example of why people think that it is impossible to get good government. Last time I had to deal with them it took me two days of waiting in line. The first day after waiting for 6 hours they told me that they would not be able to take any more people and they just cut the line off and told us to go home and come back tomorrow. You would think that once your are in line they would have to at least process the line. Once I got to see a person they were very helpful. I am sure that they could adopt some management processes and cut the wait time. For example if you just need to get something stamped there should be an express window for things that will only take 10 min vs one line with issues that could take up to 45 Min. I went through an audit with a Deborah Solis and her Supervisor Pamela Williams. The day both my requested documents were requested, review had been done before I dropped off documents at 1300. So that it appeared I hadn't provided anything. Second pass through I provided hundreds of documents and when I called to say I was bringing Ms Solis said Just fax.500 pages? Course now as I am fighting this audit I was told today NO DOCUMENTS are attached to second review, no wonder nothing changed.
