This review is for Mrs. King who in 15 minutes cleared up years of waiting on hold and misinformation.

The irs gives you phone numbers that can never be accessed to talk to a live person. I was on hold for 2hrs and 38 minutes and so e one answered and said I was at the wrong area. He wouldn't transfer me and said I had to call a number that I was on with. I filed my taxes in February and CB in April they sent form CP05 and every time I call it says call back the next day. It said if I didn't hear anything call back after 60 day. Now it's been 115 days and still no letter or information. I check the refund on line and it gives the same message every when you call. They make it very difficult to get information. My bills are suffering With mom with a brain aneurysm and a sister with 3/4 brain dead at birth and having a stroke at 51 years old. I shouldn't have to wait on something I earned. What can improve is to have the government be more accountable. This is probably a trump thing and he's not goi g to bully me read more

idk why the irs has buildings or people even working when they dont try to help you with anything. its fucken wrong when u have to keep proving to the irs that your kids are YOUR kids. i had an appoinment at 8:30 the receptionist didnt even let me see anyone because my case is being audited from KANSAS . so basically i cant do anything about it i been calling for months now and still no answer from the irs am always on hold. this system is so fucked up so much for trying to help people. read more

I'll first start with the Latina lady at the front desk who is always helpful and polite when I had to go into that office for any reason. However, the newest employ Yen Lee is incredibly rude, condescending and just outright unhelpful. This Yen Lee talked over me the entire time refused to help me in anyway and stated I had to wait till IRS contacted me before anyone in the office would help me. At this point because I can't get help in person from the IRS nor get a live human on the phone to answer questions from the IRS. If I were a cooperation or a millionaire no questions asked, and I'd get my refund with in 24hrs. As no one at the federal government level in the IRS has time to assist the average person I've reached out to my state congress men Jerry McNerney in hopes of getting answers from the IRS. When you hear IRS, cancel all your plans you will spend the rest of your day either on the phone or waiting at an office.(If you get lucky) Previously before arriving here I was informed by the 800 representative that I was on the phone for over 2 hrs, that at this office I would be able to receive my transcripts. The receptionist, a very healthy Latina in her mid-30s, needs to attend a CHARM SCHOOL quickly!!! I've been to the IRS Stockton Office 3 times, and each time this receptionist was always curt and condescending. She should not be manning the front desk of any office; she belongs to the backroom away from the public. ALSO, an IRS agent, a black woman, needs to attend charm school. Dealing with her was like talking to a wall - no expression, no warmth, no welcoming attitude. She had more of a "you're bothering me" attitude. With these two employees the public has to deal with, wo wonder government employees always get the bad rap! I give one star because of another IRS agent in this office - an older Latina - who is very helpful, accommodating, and welcoming. Dealing with her was a pleasure. read more

Not even worth a star but maybe an look into that office . I haven't been in awhile, the new security guard needs to be fired! Inexcusable behavior, I'm still wondering if I really experienced that. I was simply dropping off a payment per my tax agent (that works there). My agent did NOT say I needed to call her when I got there to hand it to her personally. However, this guy insisted I leave the office and call her. She doesn't answer, I ask him If I can talk to the receptionist. He behaved like I did something wrong and he had a personal problem with me. He even had the nerve to start lecturing me about my reaction to his behavior..UNREAL ..puts me thru an over exaggerated security check (he did not do the same to people after me) tells me that the receptionist isn't able to help me either. Very unprofessional and rude doesn't do justice to what I experienced. The receptionist tells me that she can't take payment. Waste of time!! What is going on over here? The front desk clerk, the first lady you're required to speak with before receiving any information/wait #, is so rude and impatient. Instead of listening to my issue, she rudely cut me off with incorrect guidance and misinformation prompting me to explain the paperwork she was unable to make sense of. When she was corrected numerous times, in different ways, she was then able to close her mouth and take a step back to correct her careless misinformation that she delivered to me. Still she continued to blab her mouth about the excuses she had for not understanding the issue...making no sense (due to her lack of training and attitude problem), before finally offering me a number to wait and speak with someone else....goodness!! For one, We stood in line for 20 minutes until we were notified Appointment only off. Security should have told us

On hold for an hour, and when they pick up, they hang up. I redial. On hold an hour, and at the one hour and 9 minute mark, they answer, then HANG UP. Four times I did this. I spent into FIVE hours listening to that crappy music on hold until someone answered that did not disconnect me. I simply needed back copies of my tax return for a mtg lender. This was all Sept 9th, and the docs would be mailed the next day. Today we get a letter, dated Sept 10th, saying that before the docs can be released, we need to call back and make a phone request. Why was I on hold for five hours? Do they have any clue what so ever of what they are doing??? read more

As soon as I got out of the elevator, I saw a line backed up passed the elevator. One lady was sitting on the floor clearing doing homework. I asked is the the line for the IRS, a young lady smiled shaking her head and answered "YES". I bounded out of there quickly. I had a question that needed a human response, not a computed generated voice that you get when you call the IRS in Fresno. I will try again tomorrow, super early. The workers are horrible ! So rude & not helpful specially towards elder people. I find it so disrespectful that they don't even help nicely. The lady up front with the reddish hair was so rude I hope you guys find new workers that are actually helpful and work the right way. & they are racist they get annoyed at people who can't speak English but don't offer any type of translation. Absolutely horrible customer service - except for Richard I believe his name was. The private security, Richard, is always sweet to the people in line making them laugh and talking to them knowing it's going to take hours before you get to the front desk... compared to the hispanic lady at the desk. Most of the people there seem unprofessional due to their lack of manners and horrible attitude they give. There needs to be more people here most definitely, slower than Stockton's DMV. read more

The workers here are just horrible. Bad mood, grumpy, rude, unhelpful.... List goes on.. The only person who is in a good mood is the security guard. Besides him, the workers should be fired. This place is worst than the dmv. Rude ladies that will rub you the wrong way. They take their sweetass time and the wait is ridiculous. I hope I never have to come back here again. Absolutely agreed with the previous person. 3 years gone- and nothing change. I give one star only because the only one nice smiling person I saw was the officer at the front, whos checking your purses. Absolutely horrible place. They all have that "do not bothering me " attitude. Hey, if you hate your job so much - go, do something else, work at the Waste Removal Service, be away from people. WE are not criminals , we are all humans, who need your help and who, btw, paying your salaries. So, are we aloud to have at least some sympathy? I, probably, had the same agent that the previous reviewer have had. No "hello", no smile, not even offer to seat- why? Maby if we are not sitting down and not getting comfortable- maby we leave faster! You know, the way you treated us - the same exact way someone will treat you or, even better- your daughter, son, mother, etc. Next time, when you will go to church- think about it.
