Number one scam school promoted by Indian Agents ( pilot.in and right source aviation, both based on Mumbai ) Short Review: Whatever they say has no basis; they are the number one scammers and liars in the industry. The entire organisation is made up of cheaters and lies Recently I saw a Instagram post ( July 9 2024, Why choose us, 8 reasons ) about Why Chose Them in their page, let me break it down that they all are baseless points 1. FAA Approved Excellence It doesn't matter if you are doing part 61 or Part 141. There part 141 of this school is a part of shit course . People finish there private pilot course around 12000-15000 USD in USA. 9/10 students of this school finishes private pilot course in 35000-40000 USD. If 5/10 student do it on 35000 it can be considered as student proficiency issue, but here its not that case. The students who leave the school get there private in 5000-7000 USD outside schools. 2. Unique Support for Indian Students 8/10 schools in USA don;t charge for I20 and there is no registration fees. I know some schools charge for I20 but they reimburse it when student joins there program. Its kind of filtering non-serious students to get I20 3. Diverse Aircraft Experience Most schools carry same aircraft and it doesn't matter which aircraft you train. Untill the aircraft is approved by Indian DGCA ( If you are indian student ) . This school targets Indian students and threaten them 4. Advanced Technology Most aircraft in US is equipped with ADS-B. 100% training aircraft are equipped with ADS-B and GPS. Because its needed for training. Saying your car have a ODO meter doesn't make sense 5. FAA Part 145 Repair Station No comments as I am unaware about it. But if you are doing a training most schools have there own repair station since Annual inspection has to be done on every 100 hours. Even if its not there it doesn't matter if you are getting aircraft inspected by partnership firms. Its not a car mechanic like thing. If your aircraft has flown 100 hours it will be inspected by. a proper A&P mechanic, not a random person 6. Transperent Payment ( Jokes apart, most scam is done here ) No Hidden Fee along way - They charge hidden fees. A C152 rental charge is 110$ average in US. If you check your statement you can see they charge you 125$, 165$ even 185$. So why ? If you paid a fee late, without informing they charge you even 50% of rental extra. The best part is no where its mentioned, no notifications anywhere. If you ask they blame you because you paid late. So what is Pay as you fly ? Lets come to that. You will get surprise notification like your minimum balance have updated to 5000$, which means you cannot fly until next installment For Indian conversion you need stamping and sealing, they never gave you until you pay 3000-5000$. guys its not a hidden fee its just. a service charge Pay As you fly - This is a lie statement You can;t pay as you fly Pay as you fly means of you have 1000$ you can pay 1000$ and fly. Here its all about installment. No less than 11000$ payment is accepted. 7. Charter Airline Doesn;t matters to any Indian students, they only provide M1 visa and you cant even work or experience it 8. SHuttle and Accommodation Nasty rules by school, unplanned shuttle service For any Indian student looking for IAA, we are warning you don;t waste your time and money. You will not finish your training in 12 months and you will spend more than 100,000$ in training. 95% of students left school by paying 33000 USD even without finishing private by 12 months, You have far better options choose wisely, the entire school is full of joke and politics. Dorm situation was horrid, bathrooms are disgusting, kitchen is disgusting, and it's all shared. And they still have the audacity to charge $1000 a month for rent for a shoe box and shared facilities. Training is alright depending on who you get. Upper management will attempt to take as much money for you as possible. Try another school. read more

I am not here to comment on the quality of instruction you would receive here but if you are considering this flight school you should know that their mode of business is to draft a sizeable amout from your credit card up front and repeat when those funds have been exhausted BUT at the time I transferred out of the school they refused to return over $2000 of my money that was unused. After pursuing every avenue short of small claims court I have been unable to find a means of forcing them to be accountable for this violation. As another reviewer wrote, I also filed a dispute with my credit card company but that lead nowhere as they require documentation to pursue such a dispute yet there is no receipt or invoice for money unspent. I hope the other reviewer did report the school's business practices to the attorney general. This flight school will lie to get you in the door. I was quoted a timeframe for a week to get my multiengine and multiengine instructor ratings done. After I showed up they said it would be more like a month. When confronted about this discrepancy the staff said that it was another employee who misinformed me and no longer works there. Now I'm being dragged around by the hope that there will be a cancellation and a check ride available earlier. No one has stepped up to accept responsibility, all anyone has said is that it's not their problem. I was also told over the phone that there would be a single occupancy room available for me. Right before I was scheduled to come I was then informed I'd be in a shared room. Not a huge deal, since I'd be charged the lower room price. Then my roommate arrives today and I find out he's doing multi too, and he has a check ride scheduled. That was the last straw. For those who might say my expectations of this school are unfair, I want them to know that I've been here before. Back when this school was Tailwheels I did my instrument, commercial, and CFI here. Back then they were on top of things, cared more about customer service, and did things right. Things weren't prefect then either. It's tough to run a truly accelerated flight program. A bad weather day or unexpected maintenance can throw it all off for a student. However, there is a difference between not perfect, and not caring. International Aero Academy knew beforehand check rides were not available for the next month but still quoted me a week for two check rides. I'm giving up on this place and going home. I'm also refuting my credit card deposit charge. They're likely to want me to pay for training already received but I'll gladly go to court over them for that. If I find the motivation I may also contact the attorney general about their business practices. I would not recommend anyone spend their money at this flight school or take a chance on them. There's a competing flight school on the field who would be more deserving of your trust. I would say that the way the flight school operates it won't be in business long, but I'm willing to bet they milk their foreign students and their visas for all they're worth. read more

I would recommend International Aero Academy to anyone that wants to learn how to fly to the most experienced of pilots that are joining the airlines and would like a refresher prior to training. In my situation, I have my ATP but the majority of my flying was years ago. International Aero Academy asked me detailed questions about my experience and my goals and put into place a schedule of simulator sessions that have more than prepared me for airline training. The staff is amazing and very supportive. My instructor was instrumental in getting me an interview and a hire date with my airline of choice. I had a great experience at International Aero Academy, There were plenty of planes to rent and my Instructor gave me all the tools needed to succeed. The pace at which you finish your ratings is completely in the students hands and the staff did everything in their power to insure my success. Friendly flight instructors and staff. However, they grossly over promise and under deliver. I went for the accelerated private pilot program - this is where one learns to fly in two weeks. The flight and ground school hours that I logged were grossly inadequate to complete training on time. At the rate we are progressing would have taken approximately 4 weeks to complete training. There were insufficient aircraft to complete training on time and the flight instructors were unaware of the completion goals. I terminated my training early when it became clear that was highly unlikely that the school could deliver what they promised. I was assured that my training was an anomaly and that if I gave them more time they could get back on schedule. This would require flying an impossible number of hours per day. Additionally, they eagerly volunteered that they would forward contact information of other people who had completed their training on schedule. After waiting several weeks no contact information or further communication has arrived from this facility to verify their claims. While your mileage may vary, my flight hours cost roughly $900 per hour in a Cessna 172. These hours were so expensive because one must prepay half of the school and there is no refund offered if they fail to meet their obligations. Of significant concern were times where we operated aircraft with questionable mechanical faults (while I may be a novice pilot I do have a doctorate in aerospace engineering...) due to time pressures from the school and lack of aircraft. As noted at the beginning, the flight instructors were friendly. However, one should also expect that most of the flight instructors are very low time pilots attempting to build hours in order to progress to the airlines. Their technical knowledge and teaching abilities are highly variable. My instructor was unsure if the aircraft that we were operating was carbureted or fuel injected and did not seem to know the location of the static port - yikes! Not surprisingly nearly all their students are from overseas and are likely being milked.
