If I had to knit pick on something... the chairs are some of the worst I've sat in at any of the venues I've been to.... Very hard to sit on, and it tilts to a weird angle so I always leave there w a sore lower back.... I hope they can address that the next time they are looking to remodel. I recently learned that the system has been changed and subscribers are no longer guaranteed their seats from year to year. This is extremely disappointing. Long-time patrons like myself have supported the SCO with thousands of dollars over the years, and the ability to retain our seats felt like a small but meaningful acknowledgment of that loyalty. With this change, that benefit has been taken away. Unfortunately, that makes it difficult for me to justify continuing my subscription. There are many cultural organizations and symphonies that value and appreciate long-time patrons, and I will be exploring those options instead. A followup...I received a reply on the Yelp review from a rep from the CSO stating that I could absolutely renew and keep my seats. I have the first email from the CSO office stating there was no guarantee I could keep the same seats. I responded to that email stating I would not renew if I could not keep the same seats. The next email from the CSO office stated that those seats were still available for the POPS Series and I could have them for 4 of the 5 shows, but the 5th show I would need to move. Again, I have the emails from the CSO office.

The orchestra was delightful. Patrons have access to bars on every level and drinks can be ordered ahead of time for the two intermissions, There is an area to buy souvenirs in the lobby. Parking is in the DPAC parking building-pricey at $17. There are new places to get food and drinks outside. This production is the best!!

Now I enjoy the beauty of other people bending their bodies in ways I cannot even imagine. We came to see Fancy Footwork which was a fundraiser for the dancers to apply for various grants. Fancy Footwork was a series of short 2-5 minute dances that were a combination of classic and modern dance. In short- we LOVED it! I love not knowing what is coming next. The modern dance which typically I am less a fan of then the classics was jaw droopingly gorgeous and creative. The studio on Santa Fe is also small and intimate and the audience sat in a bleacher style set up that made for a really special night.

The Grand Entry Hall is a soaring lobby that can accomodate private events and is the main display space for art shows. There is also an Event Hall that opens to the outdoor Terrace Theater. Concessions available are beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks, and snacks. The facility is really quite spectacular. I recently visited to view the Roland Bernier retrospective which included a substantial selection of his work from the 1980s/1990s. The expansive lobby provided an excellent setting for his large-scale works. Additional art display space is available in the long hallway that leads from the lobby to the administration offices. The Arts Center has a busy schedule of theatrical and musical events that are presented in the Main Stage and Terrace theaters. There is also a regular schedule of art exhibits. This is a well-designed complex that offers many reasons to visit for those with an interest in many areas of the arts.

Events hosted by the Alzheimer's Association for families and loved ones? THE COOLEST! SO much opportunity! The website highlights the various shows, events and happenings at the Arts Center and each one is carefully curated, offered to everyone and at a low cost. The theater itself is huge, well maintained and offers levels of seating - perfect at any view. Staff is beyond friendly, welcoming and smiley each and every time! I actively look for events at this Arts Center and find myself truly enjoying each experience! Definitely worth a shot :)

Tonight we had watched Harry Prince and the Cursed Child…read more I had met a group of friends and we had an excellent time here. It was fun getting in roll play with others as well. Our seats were front row balcony and I'm normally afraid of heights. When I first got to our seats i felt kind of woozy but before the end of show I was over my fear. The set was set up brilliantly along with the story.

Although I didn't have any medal on me (no purse/phone/watch), the medal detector kept going off and the hand held wand was going off as well. The manager was convinced I had stuff in my pockets or in my tennis shoes. It was a back and forth for quite sometime. The theatre itself is pretty. The seats are comfy and each seat has a cup holder. The bathrooms were somewhat clean. The lines were long for both restrooms and drinks. A major pro was the parking lot was close by.

The family they have built is amazing and Cassy is absolutely incredible as a vocal coach and someone to look up to. She loves all of her students so much and really becomes a mentor and an older sister to all of us here. I know from being involved in group classes that everybody adores the studio and its environment. They have students who have been involved for over twelve years and have had no reason or intention of leaving even just to move on to other hobbies. I love VIS!

I can't say enough good things about Vocal Intensive Studios. Pilar caters lessons to your talent…read morelevel and guides you to whatever outcome you want. I can't imagine getting this amount of personal instruction from anyone else in town -- and from what I've seen, other less talented instructors are charging two or three times what Pilar does. I'm now auditioning for musicals, and I wouldn't be ready to do that were it not for Pilar's expert instruction.
