I throughly enjoyed taking language lessons at ILP! I am traveling to South America for business and needed to learn more Spanish. Everyone in the office was so friendly, helpful and kind. My teacher was wonderful and very knowledgeable, helping me learn correct business terminology, as well as teaching me about international business etiquette. We even went shopping together so I could practice Spanish in a real-life situation with her. My colleague from South America came here and took English lessons with ILP and had a great experience as well. His teacher even invited him over for dinner with her family so he could practice English. ILP truly has very customized language services and I would highly recommend them! read more

International Language Plus was founded in 1986 by Sandra Roberts. In 2020, it was acquired by Jay Allgood, who is the current president.

Meet the Business Owner: Jay A.

Jay Allgood has been the president and owner of International Language Plus (ILP) since acquiring the company in May of 2020. Born and raised in Cincinnati, he attended Walnut Hills High School, received a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a Master of Education degree from Xavier University. He began his teaching career at ILP in 1992 after teaching English as a Second Language for several years in Japan. Jay feels blessed to carry on the tradition of helping people learn new languages and cultures, something ILP has been doing since 1986.
