From the beginning, they promised professional, careful service -- but what we got was the complete opposite. * They did not estimate the amount of truck space correctly, which caused major delays and unnecessary stress on moving day. * They failed to bring moving blankets as promised, leaving our furniture and belongings unprotected. * Several items were badly damaged, including our master bedroom furniture, lawn furniture, and workout equipment. * When we asked for proof of insurance, they couldn't provide it -- and they refused to take responsibility for the damages. * Their handling of our belongings was careless and unprofessional, and communication throughout the process was poor. This company clearly lacks proper planning, preparation, and accountability. What should have been a smooth, organized move turned into a nightmare that cost us time, money, and damaged property. They quickly dismantled a wall-mounted entertainment system and removed an oversized coffee table in under 45 minutes. From my initial call to the moment Chris packed up his tools, the entire job was completed in under two hours. I met with at least 5 other moving companies before picking Leavy Brothers Moving. I am glad I picked Leavy Brothers and Greg Leavy. Greg Leavy is honest and transparent. He came on time for my appointments with him and he was always available. His movers were skilled and careful. They all made my move as easy as it could've possibly been. Greg's price was accurate and it never changed. I will be hiring them for my move back into my home, once the building is complete. I'm thankful that we found Leavy Brothers and we are happy to be using a reputable and honest mover.

They stole $475 from my 14 year disabled daughter's piggy bank and $100 from my wallet. My daughter was so upset she was crying for a week and ended up in the hospital. Also they came late, dented and damaged walls moving my stuff. I filed a police report that night when I realized they stole from my wallet. My purse was in my closet where they were not supposed to be anywhere near and there was three guys and it was hard to follow them around all day. This should not happen!

The movers were actually professional and able to do the job quickly with time leftover. Because of this, I tipped generously. Which is why I am so surprised that neither them nor the people who I am emailing with (Pat, Gail, and John) have not accepted responsibility, and have absolutely ghosted me as I'm trying to file an insurance claim through them. I'm writing this because I want other movers to avoid the same mistake I did by going with them. They made moving, which is so daunting, so easy as the packing saved us hours and days of packing, buying materials, and schlepping boxes to our apt. Since I was looking for a mover myself at the time, I asked the movers if they could share their contact information for me to inquire about a quote. They not only shared their info, but when they completed that job, the foreman of the project, Christian, (who I later learned was head of the company) actually went the extra mile to do a walk through of my apartment and provided a quote right then and there, saving me valuable time and money. He was kind, professional and straightforward in managing my expectations for my move. They offered competitive pricing and expert advice that helped save me unnecessary stress down the line. I decided right then and there, if this company was willing to climb up 4 flights of (exactly 77 steps) to move my neighbor in, and they were willing to do the job moving me out of the same floor, this would be the very company I would not hesitate to hire. With the unpredictable nature of the times in this era of COVID, despite shifting of dates for our move, and even after my changing the pickup and drop off location of the move (after an unforeseen change in circumstances), Parcero Moving always met me more than halfway. Christian stayed in full communication with me every step of the way, responding to each and every question I had leading up to the move, through to the end. On the day of the move itself, Christian and his A-Team of movers, Giovanni and David, arrived promptly, ready to hit the ground running, with a very upbeat and pleasant demeanor. They worked swiftly and efficiently, were very careful in transporting all items, and as other reviewers have justifiably pointed out, what sets these movers apart from the rest is that they meticulously wrapped my Restoration Hardware (RH - high end) furnishings in layer upon layer of plastic protective wrap, ensuring that it would withstand the move and endure the test of time while in storage. On a final note, I also want to mention two very important points... one is that you know the difference between a good company and an exceptional one when the inevitable snags or challenges arise, as they inevitably will with any move, even the most well-planned ones. When I ran about 1/2 hour behind due to my puppy having had an accident on the floor and delays in my walkthrough upon move out, they were so patient and understanding, and even helped me to troubleshoot a problem I was having with my lock upon arrival at the storage unit. All in all, this moving company felt like more than your average mover. I truly felt like they valued my move as though we were family, and that brings me to my second point. This is a locally based/ family-owned and operated business, and they treat their clients as family. I am proud to have supported a small business who truly cares and employs their own and goes above and beyond in world-class service. This was truly NYC's essential workers at their finest hour.
