It is a nice rest stop off the I-95 going south. It is near Port St. Lucie so it is a good point for us to stop for our hour plus trip to home. This rest stop had many picnic table and benches, as well as vending machine with snacks. It also has a place for your dogs to take a walk. The restrooms were clean and very large as well. We were so happy when we got out of the car here heading south in late November- it was our first warm sunshine spot! We had been in Florida for a few hours but only here was it finally warm. The rest area is in the older side but well maintained. Lots of tables outside. read more

The parking lot has a one way traffic flow, so if you are coming into the rest stop from points north, your first driveway is actually the exit lane from the rest stop. To park, you have to make a right at the second driveway, which has a One Way sign indicating the way towards the parking area for the rest stop. This rest stop had many picnic table and benches, a large snack food/vending machine area and lots of green spaces to wander, walk around or let your pets out. Great clean, secure and peaceful rest area for a quick nap and well deserved rest from the interstate. There is a large building made of brick with restrooms for men and women on opposite sides of a covered walkway accessible from both sets of parking lots. There are soda and snack machines in a separate smaller building closer to the truck parking lot. The rest of the grounds were most grass and trees spread across the area making for a pleasant Florida feel to the area. There was a constant flow of cars and people coming to and departing this stop. The grounds were fairly clean but, like many Florida rest areas, the design dates it and makes it look older. We stopped here because our little princess needed to relieve herself...again. I hate stopping because it never takes less than 10 minutes! And ten minutes gets you far on a five hour road trip! We get off the exit and the signs were very simple and easy to read. We pull into the second entrance. It is a U shaped parking lot so you can go in one way and put the other by driving around. There are restrooms and vending machines in the middle of the parking lot. We did not use the restrooms or vending machines. There were plenty of picnic tables also located in the middle, which I observed some people occupying them. It looked relaxing. I like when there is designated areas for the dogs to use. It is usually away from the crowds and the dogs get to smell each other's scents so they can do their business lol. I found this rest stop relaxing and when we travel again, we are stopping here as long as our princess doesn't need to stop every 5 minutes! read more

This rest area is just North of exits 131 on Highway 95. It has an open feeling so it and is relatively large. They have vending machines, bathrooms and it is a good place to get out and stretch your legs and shake off the weariness of the road. All in all, it serves the travelers on this highway well. While I would prefer a rest area that has restaurants located inside, you do not see that on 95. If you want to grab something more substantial than a vending machine, their exits just south of here that offer fine restaurants and multiple restaurants to choose from. read more

This is a smaller rest stop. As we pulled in, I noticed a dog walking area right by the parking lot. I also spotted a security vehicle on the premise which is always nice to see incase you are traveling solo. There are some vending machines on premise for basic snacks or drinks. No gas stations or anything like that. There were not a ton of bathrooms here, but they were clean. Plenty of covered picnic areas to dine at with shelters from rain and sun. read more

This is a basic no frills rest stop with the only embellishments being a vending machine snack section along with covered pavilion like picnic areas which picnic areas are rather good. It has plenty of greenspace for dog walking and as the truck area is some distance from the car parking area, good for napping in your car. When I was there I found the restrooms to be super clean and free from the usual horrid rest stop restroom odors. read more

You have the bright and bustling food court and mall like rest stops on the turnpike and then you have the basic rest stops of I-95. This rest stop about half way to my house from Orlando is typical of the kind you find on I-95. You get bathrooms, covered picnic tables, and vending machines. People who need to walk their dogs can do so in a designated area. On this visit the rest rooms were clean. I do enjoy visiting the vending machines. They now take debit cards instead of just coins and the prices for items are still reasonable. You can get a variety of candy bars, cookies, chips, and pop as well as a hot cup of coffee for $1.50. There is even an ice cream vending machine. While contemplating the snacks I attracted an audience of ten squirrels who seem quite familiar with what comes out of the machine. They did a lot of cute posturing trying to solicit treats. They seem unaware of the don't feed the wildlife signs. While I don't mind visiting during the day I find the I-95 rest stops to be creepy at night. I still remember the span when ten tourists were killed in the mid 90's. I probably just read too much Steve King but these rest stops make me anxious. Adding to the uncomfortable feeling is the board posted on the wall with all of the missing children flyers. I always stop and look even though some of them have been gone for over twenty years. It is so sad and although I logically know they were likely parental abductions and did not take place at the rest stop is still makes me feel uneasy. It's probably just me though. Things I don't like, night time visits to rest stops and clowns. Thankfully I have never seen a clown at a rest stop at night. My phobias aside this is a perfectly adequate place to take a break on your journey to somewhere better. read more

Typical Florida Rest Area - Clean, functional, and rustic. I've stopped by many of Florida I 95 rest areas. This one is similar to many of the others in that it is easy-off and easy on. Do not be fooled when you first exit the road and it looks like just a truck stop with no car parking. Keep driving. The car parking is in a loop off the center of the truck parking area. The truck and car parking areas are separate from each other and surround the buildings. This site is constructed with truck parking nearest to the road and parking on the south, west, and north sides of the rectangular plot that the main buildings are built on. There seems to be plenty of parking for both trucks and cars. It is a rest area so there are about 10 pavilions with bench-style tables spaced in the same central area. It is a basic rest area with limited amenities and no truly enclosed or air-conditioned spaces, hence my comment about it being rustic. There is a building with vending machines for drinks and snacks. The restrooms were clean and functional. During the day, it is pretty nice but at night, the lighting is limited and the parking areas are pretty dark. Overall, a very functional rest area if you need a break from your travels. read more

The men's bathroom needed a good hose down - it had a very strong smell and did not feel clean at all. Very basic, small rest stop off of I-95 near Port St. Lucie. Facilities were clean and the area was well lit at night when my son and I pulled in for a quick stop. We each bought a drink from the vending machines with no issues. A lady plaza attendant wished me a Merry Christmas as I walked back to my car, which was nice as Christmas Day was just a few hours away. There are are a few picnic tables with covers for shade. It's a good place to stretch, use the facilities, grab a cold drink if you want, and get back on the road quickly. read more

I wouldn't feel right about giving a rest area more than three stars unless I found a suitcase full of money under a picnic table seriously it was clean, convenient and as stated before good cell and wifi service. Just put five dollars in the machine and got one quarter back for a 20 ounce soda. Apparently it's run by the organization for the blind and they do not work with the rest area employees. The rest area employees are not allowed to give your change or fix/open the machines. Instead, you have to try and call a number. I'm not sure how calling a telephone number would get your change back. This is deceitful. How many people actually take the time to call, especially on a Sunday? How convenient is this? Why was the credit card swipe turned off by vendor? read more

My cell phone works here and the place is kept in really good condition. It's just vending machines, maps and bathrooms here, don't expect the mini food courts you might find elsewhere. Still much appreciated when I'm on a long drive. read more
