We finally got our drinks and waited for our appetizer which was the blue crab dip. Kept waiting...the waitress was running from table to table, to answer the phone and ended up asking us what we ordered, again...so we told her. A whole hour goes by and we finally got our food and it was cold...the hamburger steak was extremely hard and dry. So I reminded her that we had ordered the blue crab dip a that our food was cold and the waitress said "I apologize because it is cooked as soon as we place the order" So she insisted on giving us our meals for free. We paxk our boxes and she said "I'll take everything off except the crab dip". Ok, cool. We stood waiting to pay and still waiting for the crab dip. It took so long to bring it she said it was free as well. I didn't feel right taking all that food and not giving them something so I handed her a 20 dollar bill. We get into the car to drive back home and open up the box to taste the crab dip and we see corn. I've never had crab dip with corn in it. Then we taste it and low and behold it NOT crab dip, bit spinach and artichoke dip instead. It was awful...the entire meal was awful when we warmed it up at home as well. We had an awful experience.

The room was filled with comfortable and functional antique furnishings. The bed was very cozy. The patio off the side was a tranquil garden spot. The first place I called ( a larger, higher rated marina) left me so confused. Richard at Stonehouse explained everything really well and eased my concerns. They also welcomed well behaved dogs, which the other place did not. The boat and tube were ready when we got there and after a quick (about 15 min.) explanation of how to operate it, we were off for a fun day on the lake. The boat was very clean and everything was great! Our two pups had a blast and we didn't have to worry about them home alone all day. The prices were good too, a little less than the larger marina I had called. I highly recommend them and will use them again!

The service was always great, until this year. This year, we ran the same routine, get settled in the house and head to Stonehouse for the boat. Everything was going great, we saw online that new management was in place. We get our boat, pick up the kids on the dock and hit the water for the rest of the day. Half way through the day we noticed that the gas gauge hadn't budged and that it still said full. The next morning we went to Stonehouse to get gas and asked about the gauge. The wise guy kid filling the gas asked if we considered that the tank was indeed full. We told him that a full gas tank would be impossible considering how far we rode the day before. The kid then jumped in the drivers seat and to look at the gauge and agreed with us that it wasn't working. While in the drivers seat the kid noticed that we were listening to George Straight (because he's the best), he then cranked up the music and said that he didn't want to hear us talk . The kid then asked who I presumed was the new owner of the business and he confirmed that the gauge in fact did not work because someone put the wrong fuel in. So these guys over at the Stonehouse knowingly sent us out on the water with insufficient equipment. Sad to say that after years of doing business here, we will be taking our business to a new location even if means paying more. You can't put a price tag on customer service and peace of mind. Good luck, Stonehouse. Im not overly optimistic about your future, I hope I'm wrong.

There are a number of covered picnic tables and space for walking dogs. Bonus star for the picnic area. Yes, just before going back onto the highway, there is a loop that takes you around the back of the rest area where there are more picnic tables and more parking.
