My husband went to pick up a battery on Saturday morning at 7 am. The time the website said they would be open. When he got there no one was there. He proceeded to leave, but decided to call and turned around to go back. Someone answered the phone, but wasn't very pleasant. When asked where he should enter, the guy told him it was going to be a bit, because he had to get dressed! On Monday I went to Interstate Batteries as I needed a new Battery for my Yamaha Waverunner. I pulled up to interstate Batteries and was offered help promptly. Unfortunately things went down hill from there. The man who was helping me walked away to take two different phone calls..... just leaving me standing there. When he finally got around to helping me, he didn't have the right battery for my ski and tried to push me into a battery which was too small in size and rated differently. He told me he would make it fit buy shoving foam in the open areas and the different rating wouldn't hurt my ski at all. He quoted the battery at $119.00. I felt totally pressured to buy something that was not right for my ski and did not fit properly! Fortunately he took one more phone call and I slipped out while he was on the phone. Thank you whoever called! I ended up going to the dealer where I got the right battery for only $89.00. Doubt I will ever go back to interstate Batteries again! I will never buy another green top battery again I went to the branch on Acoma in Lake Havasu City bought the top-of-the-line batteries after three years they would not hold a charge I charged him four times in one week wouldn't hold a charge even enough to start the Truck the battery stated that they had a 48 months warrantee free replacement when I went back to the store the guy said he would have to put them on their charger for two days or longer no loaner batteries and my truck would've been out of commission for three days unfortunately I needed to travel to Seattle and didn't trust these batteries which were faulty don't believe the warranty They do not stand behind their product never again will I purchase a green top battery from interstate never had a problem any where else in town . Okay, so I bought an Interstate Deep Cycle battery from Interstate Batteries in Lake Havasu a little over two years ago. Last trip out the battery took a dump so I figured I'd take it back to them because it still had a few months left on the 30-month pro-rated warranty. I know I could have bought a cheaper battery at Costco, but I do like to support the local businesses in Havasu, plus I figured I might be able to save $10 to $20 bucks with the warranty refund. I head over to their shop first thing Saturday morning and take the battery inside. First, the guy tries to tell me the battery is 7-years old then I present him with the receipt showing the purchase date in 2011. He then looks at the battery again and tells me he must have misread the code on the battery when he first looked at it. He also sees the warranty listed on the receipt showing the 12/30 warranty program (full replacement in first 12 months, pro-rated up to 30 months). He tells me he has no idea how to calculate the pro-rated warranty, but he could have someone call me Monday morning to assist me. Again, I figured I'd get a few bucks back, so I purchased a replacement (I wanted to get on the water that morning and have a stereo to listen to). We had a great weekend on the water and were headed home on Monday when I received a call from the Interstate shop in Havasu. They proceed to tell me the warranty program I purchased the battery under had some flaws and because of that, they no longer offer it (they now only offer a 12 month full replacement warranty). They follow that statement with something that made absolutely no sense. They tell me that because the price of the battery has gone up, they could not give me any money back on my warranty. They said the 30 month pro-rated warranty program is calculated by the current cost of the battery. Using that math, they said the pro-rated cost comes out to $5 and change for each month the battery is used. Their calculations revealed that I would actually owe them more money (again, due to the cost of the battery going up) for the time that I had the battery. Now, I'm not a mathematician (and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night), But I do have some common sense. That common sense tells me that if I bring a product back to you that is still under warranty, I should receive some-type of compensation. I tried to explain my concern with their reasoning, but it fell on deaf ears. Interstate Battery has lost a customer for life and hopefully one or two others that read this story will follow suit. It amazes me how customer service has depreciated and that a business will risk loosing a customer (or customers) over a few bucks. Needless to say I will no longer be doing business with Interstate Battery in Lake Havasu, nor will I purchase any Interstate Battery again. Costco will be the way to go from this point forward. read more

I bought two gel batteries for my boat at $250 each and they had a 36 month warranty. Almost a year later one was completely dead. It charged all day on the lake as I operated on the other battery. I had checked it after charging it with my top of the line battery tester and it immediately said replace battery. Took it in on Monday. The gut checks it and says I had to leave it 24 hours for them to charge it before replacing it. I told him I already charged it and he said their policy is to charge it for 24 hours before replacing it. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. THEY DONT IMMEDIATELY GIVE YOU A BATTERY WHEN YOU NEED IT. THEY INCONVENIENCE YOU BY MAKING YOU WAIT 24 HOURS. Now the topper is that I took the battery to another Interstate Battery distributor the same day in California. They tested it and immediately said it needs to be replaced. No 24 hour charging was needed. read more

I had a interstate battery in my suburban and it lasted almost 7 years. So I needed a new one so I came to interstate in havasu. I purchased the battery and bought it home installed in and it lasted about 2 weeks. Charged it and drove to the dealership to check the charging system everything checked out but mechanic reported that the battery was leaking. I took it back to interstate and the kid said It's your FAULT no warranty. They wouldn't even help me after that he justed walked away. I think this is a dealer problem because I went to Walmart and bought a new battery and dropped off the core and the man at customer service said that this is the 3rd interstate battery we received with a leaking problem. Hopefully the other 3 people see this post and write there own reviews. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone period. The only reason I giving them 1 star is it wouldn't let me post negative stars. read more

I was getting ready to take my family out on the lake and didn't even think to check the battery before we left. When we were at the launch is when I found out it was not going to start. So we quickly ran up to Interstate on a Saturday to see if we could just get a new battery. When we got there Todd was very nice and looked at the battery. He was able to see that it just looked discharged. I was willing to buy a battery but he thought based off of the age of it I should be fine. I think I got the last one about 9 months ago from somewhere else. Since I wanted to just go on the water Todd said he would give me a loaner battery while he charged mine over the weekend. No deposit just gave me a battery so we could go out and have fun. He installed it for me and we were off to have a great time... After the weekend. I show up and Todd recognized me. He had already tested the battery and was on a list to get a call so I could come and get it. I would have been fine to buy one but he didn't think I should unless I need one. The battery came back to life and since then I realized I had left the radio on and that is what killed the battery. Then he reinstalled the battery for me. All of this cost me $0.00... These guys are great and don't want to up sell you. I didn't make a purchase this time but for sure I am going to buy and Interstate as soon as I need one. Just fantastic service... read more

Excellent service from the first phone call to driving away. Exchanged 12 old golf cart batteries and bought 3 new "blem" batteries for a fantastic price. Pulled in and two friendly guys unloaded the 12 cores, gave me instructions on how to use the new connections on the new batteries loaded them in the car.
