Room was clean; bed facing the center of the courtyard. Nice size couch to cuddle. Glass shower doors and of course when it's 100+ working AC! No issues with other occupants; mostly families enjoying a stay just like we were. Coming in from the pool I heard a familiar voice and returned after changing to the bar area. Don't think I've ever paid $7 for a Modelo before lol. That familiar voice was Rene Russo playing on a TV in one of the more intimate seating areas. Yup, the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair with Brosnan. Finished the movie chillin' with my girl. Nice place for a fair rate; good times.

The back light panels were removed, they tried to remove tailgate but it was electric and they couldn't, horn was yanked through grill, tool kit stolen. Over $7k in damages. And we asked to speak to the manager, but everytime was asked or called, he "would be in shortly", "just stepped out", "went to lunch", "would call me back". Finally got a hold of him and told him what happened. So what does Marriott do? Send me a picture of the sign that says they aren't responsible for any damage or loss. We didn't ask for compensation, we just wanted to report it and see if anybody saw something.

There were many witnesses to this interaction and when I let Marcela know that the large group I booked to stay in this very hotel would never patronize this establishment again, she smiled and said ok! What's prompting this review is kind of that "straw vs. camel's back" thing. I'm willing to put up with a lot because this place has a kitchen, which I really need. And, it's the only place around here that does (as far as I can find). But, I'm so annoyed by the internet service, I'm finally going to write all of this down. Housekeeping: The best word to describe housekeeping's attitude is "apathy". You can tell they just don't care. We're supposed to get service every other day. This is inconsistent and when they do come, they make the bed and swap out towels, and that's about it. No new sheets and no real cleaning. The floors never get touched at all, regardless of how dirty they are. Sometimes they leave dishwashing detergent and sometimes they don't. Sometimes they make sure you have a spare roll of toilet paper, and sometimes they don't. On my last stay, so much time passed where the toilet wasn't cleaned, there was actually a water line built up in the bowl. Pots/Pans/Utensils: I get that guests abuse the stuff in the room, but the hotel needs to take that into account and make sure the kitchen is usable. If you're going to stay here and plan on using the kitchen, understand the things in the kitchen are garbage and you most likely won't have what you need. Toaster? Sure. Cutting board? Yep. Knife? Maybe, but if so, it will be dull. Utensils? Hit or miss - there might be one fork in the drawer or there might be three. Pots/Pans? The non-stick coating is so scratched it's useless and you're probably eating some of it because it's flaking off. Technology: My internet connection drops every night sometime between 7PM - 10PM. I can try to reconnect or forget the network or just go to the browser redirection portal, but it won't help. I just have to wait 10-15 minutes for it to start working again. This is SOOOO frustrating. Especially when one considers the TVs are ancient (the one in my bedroom during my last stay was 18 years old - see picture) and the TV service is the scrolling channel menu you saw 15-20 years ago in hotels. The only entertainment available is via the Wi-Fi on my own devices, so when the internet connection drops, it's incredibly annoying. Oh, and the speeds are abysmal. Functionality: In every room, you can expect at least one drawer to be busted. I've had leaky refrigerators, non-functioning garbage disposals, broken light fixtures, broken AC, broken chairs, leaky sinks, broken ice makers, etc. The stopper in the bathroom sink may or may not work. The sliding doors in the closets may or may not stay closed. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers. One of each has been broken for months (but the other two are free to use for now, which is nice). The one functioning dryer sounds like it's going to explode when it gets used. The breakfast is okay and is what you'd find in any low- to mid-range hotel (like La Quinta). This hotel needed to be remodeled a decade ago, and the technology needs some massive attention. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, which I really appreciate. The place just needs some renovations, and someone needs to motivate housekeeping to do a better job.

The public areas seem to be in decent shape. It's very quiet, meaning not too many guests staying here. That doesn't bother me, in fact in a selfish way I don't mind that. The side entry doors need to be updated, they are looking their years as well. Hopefully corporate sees this review and does some renovations because I definitely would not come back anytime soon if I'm in the area again. There is no need for pictures because I'm sure they know. Lastly the regular internet is slow!

In the MLounge, Michelle and Armando made sure everyone was comfortable, their needs met (and more than a few wants), and everything was in order in the lounge. Unfortunately, room pictures online don't reflect its real state…read more The hotel grounds are nice including pool, fitness center, bar, and lounge, however the room we were given was in very poor condition. The bed's headboard had big black stains that I had to remove with sanitising wipes. The bed cover had marks from pen. The lamps had lots of dust and the carpet was stained which also smelt bad. I reported it all to the front desk clerk and showed pictures right after seeing the room. The front desk clerk took pictures of my pictures but we were not offered to have the room changed for another cleaner room. Very disappointing.
