Okkkk!!!! Here we go!!! I am In a business trip to Lytle!!! And "fortunately!!!" My company picked up this place for me stay! Can't thank them enough! I just can't say enough "Thank youuuu!!!" to EVERYONE here that are making my stay here a 5 stay!!! And please note that I am staying at this great place NOT for 2, 3, 4 days... I have been here for over 2 weeks and few more days left! Front desk people are always veryyy helpful! Smiley! Friendly! EVERYONEEEEE at the front desk are super nice! The room that I am staying is very spacious, great tv channels selection, a very nice tub for anyone to be comfortable even if you are 6' plus! It includes a great variety of breakfast options for your taste bud! Freshly made eggs, sausages, juices, cereals, fruits, yogurt, they even have a waffle machine which I haven't tried YET!!!! Buuut for sureeee!!! You are not going to leave in the morning "hungry!!!" The place is SUPERRRRR clean!!! From the parking lot allll the way to the "carpet walkways!!!" EVERYDAYYY I get back to the hotel, leave the hotel?!? There is someone cleaning the front area, the back area... The bedrooms smells super fresh!!! On my stay here right now I have stayed in two different rooms... and the last one, upgraded!!! It is AWESOMEEEE!!!! I have my very own, private jacuzzi!!! Perfect for me after a long day of work... They have a small gym that for sure you can get a good sweat! A very nice size swimming pool for you to cool down after a long day of work! They even have a jacuzzi!!! They do have a little area by the reception area that you can buy juices, water, sodas, etc... quick ready to eat food! And the area?!? Believe me!!! You will, you should, be able to find nice places to eat! And one of my favorites is "Outlaw Seafood Bar & grill!!! For sureeee!!!! You will noooot starve around here!!!! Just make sure that you don't go out looking for dinner at 11pm!!!! And lastly!?! I can't thank anymore the managers of this place!!! Cris and specially "Tony!!!" Alwayssss smiling to you! In the mornings, during breakfast or any other time.... Making you feel, feeling comfortable!!! The guy is always working, mopping, cleaning, asking how are you doing!!! I just can't thank "Tony" enough for make my 3 weeks stay here in Lytle a 5 stay!!! Few days ago... running behind on my schedule... couldn't make to the breakfast "window" time... he went 100% out of his way... grabbed a plate... went to the kitchen! And here I am, was... with a fresh plate of breakfast place to take to my room.... Again!!! It was super nice and I really appreciated that "thought", "action" Tony!!! Youuuu made my morning! Very friendly staff. Place is very clean. Comfortable rooms. Great lil pool. Breakfast looks fantastic. Most hotels in our travels had grab and go. Lytle is a great little town to visit. Only problem I saw was an angry customer giving the clerks a hard time over a trifle thing. People have been really mean this year from what I have seen traveling this year and judging from past posts here some folks need to chill and stop being divas and enjoy that we can go out again. Be kind. Be thankful these hotels are still operating after the two years we had. Clerks, housekeeping staffs are hard workers in this employee shortage era not your servants. Give them your patience and they will treat you well as well. read more

Front desk agent was very rude upon arrival. Took credit card & drivers license to back room and made copy's without asking permission or letting me know what she was doing with them; that was after she ran the credit card and received authorization for the charge. Nothing was posted at the front desk area that this was their policy nor was it explained to me until I asked. Did not stay. read more

Management is quite rude and arguementive. Room was dirty still after coming back and requested room service. They try to charge you more if your mom and dad come over and stay late from out of state (double the price than downtown Hilton). Very comfortable place, the bed was magnificent the price a little higher but very good breakfast

This is the best hotel within a 100 mile radius. Beds are comfy and clean. Rooms are beautiful. Front desk and staff are amazing. Breakfast food is great. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in a lot of different places and this one is by far one of the nicest places I've been too. I will only stay here when I come to visit. It felt like a mini vacation. The management was very inconsiderate and disrespectful to their staff, this made our stay very uncomfortable. We could not condone, nor support this type of behavior. So, even though the place was was nice and we had plans of staying much longer, we were forced to vacate the premises. Summary: shitty management, shitty communication between staff and customers, shitty customer service, good breakfast staff and good cleaning staff. Will not be staying again. Long story: We were unfortunate enough to stay in this establishment while traveling to see family for the holidays. Before to my wife and my arrival, my grandparents had checked in a few days prior. Upon arrival we were greeted by a less then friendly "manager", who we later found out was the owner. Our request was to upgrade my grandparents room to the Alamo suite (2 bedroom suite) and add my wife and I as registered quests. He initially quoted us an outrageous rate that was not that representative of what we had found online. It wasn't until we threatened to check my grandparents out and book online to receive the internet discount that he offered to discount the room. After that was sorted, he asked how many people would be staying and my grandmother responded that it would be 4 staying every night but her grandchildren(my siblings) and her child (my mom) would be stopping in to visit and make use of the pool. At no point did he say that only registered guest were allowed to make use of the amenities, so we finished the check in process and changed rooms. Alas, that night, we invite the rest of the family over to use the pool and are greeted with a "closed for maintenance" sign on the pool. I went to the front desk to inquire about the sign, and was told the hot tub wasn't working but the pool was functional and the sign was misleading. So we all suited up to swim and were excited to only be disappointed again. The front desk neglected to inform us that the the heating element that heats the hot tub, also heats the pool and without it the pool was around 60 degrees. On our way out we inform the front desk of temperature issue. We are then informed that it should be fixed tomorrow (we heard this everyday) and so we left hopeful. The next day was a Saturday so I let it pass and figured I would pose the question on Monday. After Monday we asked everyday to be told "they are waiting on the part and should be here tomorrow." We have accepted our fate to not feel the warm embrace of a pool but also feel cheated because my wife and I wouldn't have upgraded the room if I had known there was an issue with the pool. My mother and sisters come to see my grandparents off, while my wife and I make other arrangements, and arrive as we are going to get breakfast. They proceeded to grab some juice and little did we know how this ill advised decision would be held against us. My grandmother goes to check out and complain about the lack of pool and is meet with accusations of them eating everyday and comments of the pool being for registered guest only. read more

Great hotel for a great price. I typically stay at IHG hotels simply for the point system since I travel a lot for work. But I chose to stay here because I've heard great things about Best Western Plus. I must say, it was a great choice. This place is new, friendly and even smells good. I would definitely return. Me and my Wife reserved a room here WITH a hot tub whirlpool included in our room and the stay was AMAZING! When we checked in, Blanca was our hostess/front concierge employee when we arrived and she made our stay JUST as comfortable at this place, she accommodated us so professionally and comforting for me and my wife to have a great night! Not so good experience with this Best Western in Lytle. It started with check in. The (not so friendly) girl behind the counter M. Charged us 4 times on several debit cards for a one night stay January 1st. According to her they were not working. As off today 17 days later 3 times swiping the card 480 usd is on hold. I got an email from a manager and he said it was not true. I send him copy's of my bank statements and now there is SILENCE.... NEVER EVER AGAIN! My card worked fine at other hotels like Holiday Inn Express and Quality inn. Please avoid them! read more

Spent 16 days here due to our home flooding. Worst 16 days ever. Your insurance tells you they will pay for you to stay in a hotel until repairs are completed, first reaction aside from annoyed cause you can't be home, would generally be excitement, we were excited. First week there wasn't bad. Then we went to renew our cards and the man who supposedly runs the place confronts me with pictures taken by housekeeping of our room. Keep in mind we're living out of bags because all of our belongings got ruined. The man complains about a pile of our laundry on the floor and a baby diaper from an overnight change , claiming that the maids cant do their job. When confronted with the pictures I instantly felt our privacy was being disrespected considering they were being paid a lot of money for us to be there ($1,872 to be exact). With our privacy in mind I called corporate and explained the situation and filed a complaint. The next day they threatened to kick us out, and complained that I asked house keeping to wait until 12 to come in because I was in the shower. There was much more that took place but I really would consider staying elsewhere, perhaps Hondo's location. read more

The hotel is new so the rooms and facility is nice overall. The receptionist was rude upon my check-in and that's why I'm rating this with 3 stars. The receptionist was nice all the way until I asked about my room rates. I had an extra $10 per night I had to pay for a rollaway bed I asked about. I explained when I made my reservation some time back with the request for a rollaway bed there was no mention of an extra charge. She didn't seem to mind that I was misinformed and continued to try and explain that it's a cost for the bed. I reiterated to her my frustration isn't with the cost but it had to do with the fact I wasn't quoted an accurate amount or told about the extra cost when I made he original reservation. She told me that if I didn't want to stay there I didn't have to. At that point I felt like if I continued to explain my point of view I'd be out of a hotel so I just conceded to her. read more

My fiancée and I booked a room late Christmas Eve as I have family in Lytle. After paying for 1 nights stay, we went to spend time with family. (Note: We never entered the room.) Later that night while visiting family, an emergency arose and we had to return to my home near Austin. The next morning I called the hotel and explained to management that I did not use the room. They kindly, cheerfully and immediately provided a full refund! read more

This hotel sits next to a very busy interstate highway, I-35. Between the 18 wheelers whizzing past all night and trains blowing their horns, I hardly slept at all. I originally booked for two nights, but after one night of no sleep, I checked out and found somewhere else to stay. read more

The staff that operates this Best Western are theives and liars. I'm a single mom, took my sons of our very first family roadtrip ever and stayed in this hotel. It was the first hotel my 5 year old ever has ever stayed in and he was ecstatic, we all were! It took forever to scrounge enough funds to take my kids to Natural Bridge. The manager claims I smoked in the room, thus he single-handedly maxed my whole card with fees. He claims to have called to inform me of these charges but my phone statement says otherwise. The charges were placed on my card before I even checked out of the room. I never received a notification, explanation, nothing. I didn't even find out until 26 days later, when the statement came in. These people are con artists, placing fraudulent charges on unsuspecting occupants. I am appalled and disgusted. read more

This is a really nice hotel. It's so convenient when I'm down here for work. Wish they had an outdoor pool but they have one indoor with a hot tub. Breakfast is good with some different options each morning. Fairly new so everything is nice and it's very clean. read more
