I had new insurance and chose Dr. Lauten a few years back based on his 5 star wonderful reviews and that he maintained his solo practice for 35 years, not succumbing to selling out to the Corporate practice of medicine. Their first estimate was so high I declined but then they went back and gave me new estimate which was only around $600 out of picked with my insurance covering the remaining 2000+. After the surgery they sent me a new bi which was an additional $1100 out of pocket. When I looked at the bill, they used different codes than insurance covered and also jacked up their cost compared to their actual cost.
