Came here for food poisoning since all the urgent cares were closing soon or already closed. They were able to get me in right away not a super busy emergency center. Everyone that helped me here was super friendly. I posted a picture with all of their names. My RN Bill was amazing. You can tell that they really like what they do. Be warned, this is not a real emergency room. This is a lawyer feed area, where the lawyers have a direct connection to this location for specific work to be done so that they can use the term "ER" for any lawsuits against motor vehicle accidents. I canceled with the Javier Lawyer that a friend recommended once I realized what type of lawyer I was dealing with and what kind of a shady facility this was. You have been warned, that this is not an actual ER, they will only tell you after services are rendered, they do not have any affiliation with the main hospital, therefore most medical insurance will not recognize this location as they are fully aware of what kind of location this is, I feel so sorry for any of the helpless folks that come here. read more

Horrible gentleman at front desk. I called first told me they accepted my insurance. When I got there they said they would take my insurance but I was out of network. I had given all information before I left sick to go there. Wouldn't tell me how much they charged for anything but I would be responsible for 30% of whatever they billed. My three-year-old needed a bad bump to his head checked out, and I agree with many other reviewers here on the quick and excellent service. We were seen right away (no wait at all on a Saturday morning), and everyone from the front desk to the doctor and nurse we saw were very kind. Dr. Jordan answered my many questions about what to watch out for, and I felt like my son was in good hands. (And thankfully, no signs of a concussion.) The nurse offered him some stickers after they examined him, which he enjoyed. As we were leaving, I asked my son if he had a good time at his first ER trip, and he actually said he did. i have given this place great reviews in the past, but I will now suggest that if you go in there, beware of the monster at the front desk. i went in last Friday for a test I needed urgentoy. The B at the front desk ignored me for a full five minutes while I stood there. i said "excuse me", thinking maybe she hadn't seen me while she filed her nails and watched her phone. Rudely, she flashed me a "f you look" and gave me the hand. "I'm busy" . Oh no ma'am she was not busy. i said listen B, don't throw attitude at me, I'm not in the mood". She called security. i got my procedure done thanks to the doctor rescuing me from the B. Sadly, this is the norm with receptionists and back office staff at way too many clinics, doctor's offices, and hospitals. i don't get it. it's a miserable experience for patients. Recently moved to The Heights --and this clinic is OUTSTANDING!!! They were prompt, attentive and more compassionate than any medical facility I've been to. I had to have 2 COVID-19 tests performed and the process couldn't have been simpler!! I filled out paperwork in my car, drove through for testing and got results in about 15 minutes! From the moment, I walked in I was seen quickly after new patient paperwork. Did not have to wait an hour plus to be seen unlike other ERs. The receptionist was very informative and welcoming. The nurses were very attentive and made me comfortable throughout my visit. The doctor provided my diagnosis in a timely manner and was very helpful. You can tell he cares about his patients. Christine is hands down the best nurse I have ever encountered!! Dr. Defrawi explained the diagnosis and the treatment in a way i could understand. The front desk staff is very mindful of Covid and protects you the moment you walk in. Lastly, we are all concerned about a lot these days and time is something we all don't have a lot of. Thanks to season allergies, insane Houston weather, and poor lungs, I found myself googling local community emergency rooms for a breathing treatment since my inhaler was no longer doing the trick. I did not have a whole lot of time to spare, and decided to go some place close to Downtown. Thankfully I found Memorial Heights Emergency Center. I was literally in and out within 30 minutes. The physician was fantastic! (Sorry I cant remember his name). He took a step further and prescribed me with a nebulizer, so I would not have to visit an emergency room in the future for just a simple breathing treatment, and could take care of it myself at home. (Side Note: I have suffered from season allergies/bronchitis for years, and no one has ever suggested an at home nebulizer! ) Less than a week later I received a call from Jason, ER Nurse/ Administrator/Angel on Earth, just following up with me to see how I was feeling. I explained to Jason that I was feeling better, but had misplaced my inhaler. He took the extra step to reach out to my pharmacy, validate my script, submitted a new script, and called me back to let me know that he had taken care of everything for me. I couldn't ask for better care! The days of waiting for hours in a hospital emergency room are over for me thanks to the speedy treatment, amazing customer service, and exceptional follow up made by the team at Memorial Heights Emergency Center!! read more

I observed staff members taking off their masks in the common area and hallway. My nurse was very short and condescending. I was in pain, but very patient and cooperative. Our interaction felt more like an interrogation than an ER visit. I am assuming she thought I could not hear her outside of my room. OMG. Has been 6 weeks and ankle still swollen. Went to another ER and they show me that ankle is broken in the X-ray done by memorial. Dumbfounded!!!! Send me to orthopedic surgeon. Go to orthopedic surgeon and he looks at X-ray by memorial and tells me it is broken too. Takes more X-rays and says, yep, it's broken. And because it was not treated right, you will need surgery. Get third opinion, same thing, looks at original X-ray and says it's broken too. What STUPID MORONS at this place. Avoid at all costs...PLEASE. read more

My angels! The morning before we were about leave for our wedding I fell during my run and dislocated my shoulder. It was 5am... my arm was legit in my back... I was in shock and in pain and they took me in like I was a sister or a friend. Be wary. The doctors will not warn you that your injuries/illness do not require emergency treatment. Expect a copay and 2 additional, exorbitant bills when you come here. The copay was $100, which was reasonable. My first mailed bill, received almost 2 months after my visit, was close to $900. I was told I would get another bill (update to come). My treatment? Some Neosporin put on my cuts, a bandaid for my chin, a tetanus shot, and a splint that was put on my finger in a medical supplies closet. I refused the splint initially because my finger felt fine (and told them so) , but was urged to get one as I was leaving, so I acquiesced. Good thing I refused the "let's just be safe" x-ray. Who knows how expensive my bill would have been. I am not sure how there are so many good reviews for seemingly non-emergency items. I would love to figure out how. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. Customer service with the front desk staff is awful. One of the receptionist speaks very loud and has no discretion whatsoever for patient privacy. Additionally, my husband and I have been billed $1750 each for Covid testing. Please don't make the same mistake we made, go somewhere else. They claim that because they are an ER that IG validates the charge. The staff does not explain that you will be billed that amount. We weren't even admitted so please explain how a nasal swab cost $1,750?! My husband has to pay $350 and I just received notice that they're out of network with my insurance so I'll have to pay the entire bill. I'm beyond upset about this. read more

Beautiful facilities, warm and courteous staff and excellent medical professionals to take care of your every need. We live in the Heights so this is our go-to Facility in the neighborhood. I am writing this review as both a patient who has been treated two times , a mother (my 1 year old and 3 year old have been in before) and also from the perspective of a practicing physician (I am an MD myself). Qualify of Care As a physician ultimately what matters to me is the quality of care in a facility. Memorial Heights has top notch physicians working on staff. I have personally had the pleasure of being seen by several of their staff physicians and I've always been very impressed with the level of care received. The camaraderie and morale amongst the staff is noticeable and this definitely benefits the patients and makes the team work necessary to care for patients occur seamlessly. Efficient Care , Beautiful Facilities The thing I like most about this facility is the ease of getting ER care without the long wait times if we went into medical center (where I work in a private hospital). Memorial Heights ER is efficient. When my child had a fever and vomiting I went from my home in the heights speeding over there and they had an IV in and drawing labs and administering medication within the hour. We were discharged within 2 hours and back home before bedtime with antibiotics and answers (strep throat) to the issue. When you walk into the facility you will notice that it is a full functioning ER the same as any major hospital. There is CT scanner , X Rays, labs all immediately available on site. There are nurses, physicians, techs & secretaries all on site 24/7 . This is a real ER with EM trained physicians on staff. Quality of care is the most important aspect to me as a physician. You will get excellent care in this facility. I know this isn't required but As a mother I love that the facilities are so beautiful and clean more like an upscale clinic rather than a busy smelly ER. It's a nice touch that I always appreciate. This is a great facility for our neighborhood . On another note I was 8.5 months pregnant last year during Harvey and was calling all around to see what facilities were operating In case of Emergency since getting to Women's would have been impossible (where I eventually did deliver since thankfully baby did not come during storm). Memorial Heights was only freestanding ER open and serving our neighborhood. I also heard from staff that several of the physicians who work there were volunteering during storm providing medications and medical care around Houston. This is a warm and personable ER. We never wish to have an ER visit but if we do, we will come to Memorial Heights. read more

I fell on the concrete in a freak accident. I couldn't walk on my left leg. I couldn't walk, so I went to Memorial Heights Emergency. They took x-rays and told me there was no fracture. I called my dr. and was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. I felt great that I had no broken bones. My orthopedic dr., however, insisted I take more x-rays, and added some weight bearing x-rays. It turns out I did have a lateral tibial plateau; a fractured tibial. The incorrect diagnosis, however, cost me a few days, as I couldn't get in to see the orthopedist right away which caused more injury as my leg wasn't put in a brace. So, the moral is don't go to Memorial for x-rays. read more
