I would not recommend this school. Some professors are absolutely wonderful and genuinely care…read moreabout students but others shouldn't be teaching. Chinese medicine is supposed to be about healing, compassion, and supporting people, yet I didn't feel that some professors reflected those values. The school keeps creating new policies that directly affect students and some of those policies weren't even reflected in the student handbook that is online. They have a new testing policy that hurts individualized feedback. Students can't personally review their graded exams or even see the specific questions they missed. Instead, there seems to be a huge focus on protecting the school's test bank because of concerns that students might write down questions after exams. We all have to take national board exams anyway, its frustrating that learning from mistakes didn't seem to receive the same emphasis. They are accusing students of cheating, because of writing notes after the test has been submitted... the mental gymnastics that are done to validate not allowing students to receive individualized feedback on tests is bazaar. My experience also left me feeling that the school was more focused on recruiting and retaining students than I expected. If you're thinking about enrolling, ask detailed questions about the current policies, especially the testing policies, accommodations, and get the answers in writing. The communication is poor with the faculty and admin. Once you are in, it's a different game. They are really having a hard time recruiting. Sadly, even with the new business owner, the illogical policies are still seeping through. I do really hope the new business owner eventually takes better charge. After all, this is a for profit school and the students are what keeps the school funded, so they should focus more on student success. Oh, and don't rely only on what's posted online because policies can change without them being documented. Looking back, I would have chosen a different school.
