First, I would like to begin by saying I am a 64-year-old woman. It was only two years ago that I started my fitness journey, and it all began at Prestige Fitness. Rather late in life I finally decided to deal with my health and weight issues and lost 50 lbs. As a type 2 diabetic this was huge! It has been over a year since I published my original review, and Prestige Fitness has just posted a response to my concerns (see below). It is important to note that the gym has never followed up with me privately about the injuries that I sustained (even after I wrote the owner of the gym a personal letter requesting to speak with him) or given me a refund. Furthermore, the gym makes two points in their response that are geared towards undermining my credibility as a reviewer. I would like to respond to these points as they cast doubt on the integrity of my original post. First, they state that "the personal training [I] received from [Prestige Fitness] was complimentary." The session in which I was injured was a complimentary session. However, I paid for eight 30-minute sessions before this happened (I still have the receipt for this payment). When I complained about the quality of the training that I was receiving, the gym offered me 2 complimentary 30-minute sessions to make up for it. They never gave me my money back for the 8 sessions that I paid for even after I was injured. Furthermore, and more importantly, I have no idea how it is relevant if a session is complimentary or not. No personal training session should ever result in serious injury that sends someone to the hospital and across state lines for medical care. Second, they state that I have made similar allegations against another gym. This is a lie. Anyone can look at my reviews and see that I have never left a review for another gym. I have worked with multiple gyms and trainers since leaving Prestige Fitness, and they have all met my expectations for quality of service. I believe the gym wrote this in their response because they want to cast doubt on my experience and dissuade people from thinking that there is anything wrong with this gym. Highly recommend Prestige and my trainer Marina Bostuk. I've been working with her for 3 weeks now and already feel the changes in the way my body moves. She gives great instruction with constant feedback and encouragement. No two workouts are the same so it keeps it interesting. This gym was definitely not for me; I wasted a lot of money and time working on getting stronger and healthier with no results. Totally agree with Jesse M's review from 4/23/2019- they are extremely OVERPRICED. The dietician session in particular wasn't worth the price, didn't learn anything that I didn't already know from the internet for free! I was not able to continue the sessions at the gym due to Covid and instead I was offered to continue it in a garage at one of the trainer's house, where there wasn't much choice of equipment. Great environment, equipment, range of services and PEOPLE. I see Tabitha for posture and training and Marco for stretch. Tabitha knows how to keep me motivated. She explains what we're doing and how it helps and that makes a difference for me. If I can't do something she quickly figures out how to modify it so that I can. It's always about success and I can tell I'm making progress. I've been hearing about stretch studios lately but learned that Prestige also has certified stretch specialists. I have been going here for almost 2 years now and I haven't regretted signing up once. My current trainer, Marina Bosuk, is the best I have had. In our first session together she gave me a better break down of bench, squat, and deadlift form than I have ever received from any other source. Her experience in professional power lifting also gives her a unique insight into proper repetition ranges and rest times than most people I have seen. I have been going to Prestige Fitness for almost 2 yrs. I signed up for the whole package (nutritionist, trainer, massage therapy, and posture coach). I really had no idea what I was getting into but it paid off. I have struggled with weight my entire life. However, I have always been very active (running, cycling, weight training and tennis). Over this 2 yr period I have lost about 24 lbs and kept it off. I only work with my trainer now (Ethan Eggerton) who is fabulous. He is young, studied exercise phsyiology in college. He knows how to work with older populations, like me. He makes me work on my weaknesses which is great, without getting injured. The two-star rating is for Prestige--not for my trainer (David), who was phenomenal and would get five stars. He knows a LOT, is supportive without being gooey, and made me see, very quickly, the incredible benefits of strength training. In fact, I liked everyone at Prestige--BUT (1) it has a low-energy and simultaneously high-stress vibe. Too many of the other trainers (not David) seemed bored and disengaged--and spent WAY too much time yakking at their clients (NOT about working out) instead of training them. I also saw trainers allowing clients to perform basic exercises (like bicep curls with free weights) with form that even I, a novice, knew was poor. The facility is also cramped, crowded and kind of depressing; (2) I just wanted strength training, but I was pushed into a plan that had me paying (in time and money) for sessions with a life coach (nice woman, but I got nothing from the sessions), a nutritionist (very nice woman, but I have access to the internet, and it's a much cheaper way to get info), a posture specialist (nice guy but the sessions were held in a small, windowless, airless room--yuck!)--as well as hour-long stretch sessions which were nice but not what I wanted when I joined; (3) the manager is SUPER sweet, but her job seems to be to pressure clients into forking over huge chunks of money. I ended up stressing about being high-pressured into giving them more money when I went in to train. That's the manager's job, and she does it as gracefully as possible, but I'm one of those people whose anxiety shoots through the roof when someone is trying to hard-sell me something. The business model is at fault, NOT the manager (again, a super nice person). I really wanted to give this place at least four stars on account of my wonderful trainer and the sweet disposition of the manager, but overall, this ended up being a very expensive and stressful experience. If you are someone who has trouble saying NO--I recommend you keep looking. REPLY TO BUSINESS OWNER'S REPLY TO MY REVIEW As I explained, my problem was not so much with the quality of the nutrition, posture, etc., sessions so much as having to pay for them when I didn't want them. Also, I felt extremely uncomfortably constantly being asked to rate sessions when I was pretty sure the people I was rating would see what I'd given them AND I knew I'd be seeing them again very soon. I have been a client at Prestige Fitness for over ten years. Ron, the owner, runs an amazing facility. I have only seen him make positive improvements throughout the years. He recently add all new cardio equipment, which is epic! As for my most recent trainer, Randy, he has been a true pleasure to train with 2-3 times/week. He has many years of personal training experience and it is very obvious. He also has a background in acrobatics, circus performing and he's very knowledgeable in physical therapy. His work outs are not easy. He definitely challenges me and, he makes me break a sweat each time. i will say in the short time I have been with Randy. I am already seeing positive results. Nutrtionist , umm I use to be a licensed vocational nurse I know how to eat healthy and what I should eat. 2. Chriopractor umm I don't want 3. Massage therapist... umm I don't want .. All I wanted was a personal trainer 3x a week plus access to join the gym . 4. I joined Prestige in June 2021 and have been working with trainer Jordan Swartz since then. I have autoimmune disease which can make it difficult to find the right level of challenge that doesn't trigger over-inflammation, but Jordan makes me work hard and trusts me when I say I need rest. He's super knowledgeable and always answers my questions when I want to know why we're doing something. Jordan gets 5 stars. Haleigh the massage therapist is also awesome. I have worked with the dietician and the posture specialist a few times but not enough to give a rating. I'm giving the gym 4 stars overall because I think it could improve in the areas of maintenance/cleanliness and customer service. But overall I'm satisfied with the gym. read more

I have been going to Prestige Fitness over a year. My first trainer was excellent and I always felt safe working with him. I never worried about getting injured as he was with me constantly, demonstrating and watching my form. I am so much stronger and confident. Unfortunately he left because he went back to school for a Masters degree. I was certainly nervous about changing trainers. I was comforted with the fact that he tried to pair me with a trainer he thought would be best for me. I could not be happier with my current trainer, MARINA BOSUK. She is excellent and teaching me to work with my body. She understands a womans body and focuses on core strength, balance and strength. I have learned some very effective stretches which help me prior to exercise and to relax when I finish. My goal is to improve my strength and balance. I am learning new exercises and building on the progress I have already made. She works right with me, demonstrating how to do the exercises properly. She makes sure I understand what muscles I am working and watches my form carefully. I am looking forward to seeing the progress I make over this next year. I started at Prestige in December 2021. My trainer is Logan Sherwin. My goal was and still is to build muscle,endurance and of course speed. Oh, let's not forget the 20 pounds I had packed on and needed to get rid of. I can't say enough about Logan. After many questions and total evaluation of my current fitness he put together a program that works. 5 months into my program I'm am faster, 20 pounds lighter and much stronger. It's working!!! Logan is a very upbeat guy with a superior understanding of body mechanics and training. He explains what the exercise is doing and what it is working. He works you hard but not so hard you are sore for more then a day. If you are looking for a great trainer who will get you to your goal go to Prestege Fitness and ask for Logan. I have very few one star reviews. But unfortunately Prestige fitness turned out to be very a disappointment. Be aware of signing your money up long term. They are keeping my money for services unused( about 9 months worth). I have never had a gym do this especially when one is moving out of state and in my case needing to take of elderly parents. Ron the owner said "If people could just opt out anytime there would be no incentive to purchase a larger package." As a business owner myself I do understand. But when people have family emergencies and need to move 1500 miles away. There is a reason you make exceptions for the sake of treating your clients well. Is not all about money. People matter.
