I am absolutely hooked. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences each visit with Jen and I am always looking forward to the next visit after each session. I've had massages a few dozen times so far in my 29 years on earth and this is the first place I have felt comfortable enough and satisfied with the service enough that I wanted to consistently schedule appointments at least once per month. The facility is beautiful and quaint, modern yet cozy, and such a calming atmosphere. The rooms are plentiful and their attention to your comfort is astounding. I have had significant chronic pain since around 10 years of age due to various conditions, from Hashimotos to Lyme disease to chronic injuries that will never truly "heal" and occasionally "flare up" from time to time. They make it easy to be open about this and I do not feel guilty or burdensome for requiring bolster pillows for my back, legs, and shoulders, and a higher adjustment of the neck rest to make my experience completely pain-free while receiving a massage. Their payment methods are quick and easy - it is so nice to have my preferred payment method saved on file because after each session my brain takes at least another 45 minutes to "come back down to earth" and be fully cognitively present LOL - it was just so blissful! Jen will always go above and beyond for you, but it is important to remember and keep in mind that having your perfect experience is a two-way street - you are safe to be communicative and express your needs here without judgment. When you find a local treasure, aren't you torn between telling everyone you know and keeping it a secret so that it doesn't become too busy? This is my dilemma with Jen at Intuitive Touch. This dilemma causes stress. Stress means it's time to go back to Jen... All kidding aside, Jen's touch truly does seem intuitive at times. Her practiced hands are able to zero in on the stress points and work on them as much as time permits. She varies her technique each time so that no massage seems a mere repeat of the last. She is able to apply as much pressure as is needed to work on the really tough spots and seems to know just when to ease up (I haven't whimpered once!). When Jen left her prior position to strike out on her own, my wife and I wasted no time seeking out her new location, though it was six times the distance from our home. The results are worth twice the drive! And now, she's offering services in two locations, one much closer to home! Her new online appointment scheduling and email reminders makes things even easier. Laura, a skilled practitioner was my masseuse. She intuitively alternated the massage pressure during a Swedish massage (w/ hot stones!) to suit my comfort level. Everything she did was spot-on and I savored every minute of the session with her! The room was warm, clean, private and she inquired about my comfort before the massage and when it was over. I can't say enough about how lovely Intuitive Touch has been - this was my third time there. I had a Gua Sha holistic facial while I was there, too, w/ Rebekah Fox. OMG. THAT was heaven on earth! It was my day for happy celebration as it marked the one year anniversary of overcoming a health challenge, successful surgery and perfect outcomes! I am a licensed massage therapist in CT and Jen is who I see when it's time for me to get a massage. I had initially seen Jen for some specific deep massage work from a long standing injury following a car accident. I would regularly sleep with one arm above my head and wake up completely unable to move it without extreme pain. It would take me 10 minutes every morning to lower my arm again. Jen gives an incredible massage. Her attention to what you are looking to have focused on, be it deep, focused work or relaxation in general is on point and she works with you to maximize what you get from your session. Laura's technique and approach was very different from any of the other therapists that I have been to in the past. She simply does fantastic work. For me she had the perfect amount of pressure.
