Was greeted with a nice welcome and Dr Amanda Duty was very sweet ,took her time to explain to me what the difference between glasses are , which I haven't had the pleasure of before . I will not trust anyone else with my eyes but Dr. Christy Hill. She and Tracey were so wonderful as I battled issues with infections. I would have panic had it not been for their calm mannerism. There is free parking right in front of the office. The office is beautiful, quiet and there's no waiting because they double booked. I'm so glad to have one specialist that it is easy to reach their office without paying for parking, having to walk around a deck and then sit and wait for an hour to be seen. They have a great selection of designer frames too. My technician that assisted my selection was extremely nice too. As a matter of fact the entire office is professional, warm and a joy to deal with. read more

Had an eye exam here and was told the brand of contacts I was wearing was inferior to what they sold. I'm always glad to move onto something better so I agreed to try out a pair of trials in the brand they sold. Not only were worse than my outdated prescription in terms of being able to see clearly, but they were so irritable my eyes were screaming for them to come out by four o'clock. I was also told somebody would follow-up to see how the new contacts were doing after three days. Nine months has passed and I'm still waiting for that follow up. But no need for them to bother if anybody in their office reads this review as after waiting six months for a follow up and going back to my old contacts I made an appointment with a competent OD in another office and guess what? They got the correct prescription in the brand of contacts I've worn for over a decade. It's funny, when I asked my new doctor if they were a bad or outdated brand they replied "no, they're one of the best and we prescribe them all the time. In fact, my receptionist wears them." My new OD also didn't try to upsale me on a bunch of stuff I didn't want or need either. I chose this place because of all the "glowing" reviews, but after my experience with them I'm convinced their reviews are manufactured. read more

My husband and I both came to our eye appointments and we had to bring our 1 year old daughter with us. The entire staff were so accommodating and so sweet to help entertain our daughter while we were both getting our eyes checked. She didn't want to sit still so they would walk her down the halls and let her play with the toys in the lobby. Dr. Ansley got us both checked and in and out quickly. Great for families! Makes the drive from Tuscaloosa completely worth it every time for such a great doctor and staff. read more

Man, I'm such a fan! This is probably the most professional and efficient Eye Care Center I've ever been to. I've been wearing glasses since the 1st grade so I've dealt with tons of Optometrists in my lifetime. I try to go at least once an eye for my eye exam and I always dread spending so much time in the office. I decided to give Inverness Eye Care a try because they're literally two buildings down from my workplace so I figured I could maybe squeeze it in on my lunch break. I made an appointment for a 1:30 eye exam on a Tuesday and was in and out before I knew it! I was quickly checked in, called back, they performed my eye exam and contact lens exam and had me out within the area. All the while making me feel like I was really taken care of! I rarely take the time to write a negative review and have not in several years. However, I am inclined to share the experience I had at Inverness Eye Care. Beth Eads, their office manager, was very rude and unprofessional. She spoke to me in a condescending and impolite way. I believe in the importance of kindness. This is especially true when your job is to welcome and interact with patients. I will look elsewhere for a more pleasant experience. UPDATED 10/13/2019: The owner responded saying he reviewed all of the conversations. However, I am not sure that recording phone conversations without telling the party you are doing so is legal in Alabama. It does not seem like it would be. I was never notified the calls were being recorded. read more

Was very happy with the service here- from the front desk, the optometrist assistant, to Dr. Ansley, everyone was very helpful, friendly, and efficient. I didn't see Dr. Hill as a patient since I saw Dr. Ansley, but I did observe her talking with an elderly couple in the waiting room and assisting them back into a patient room. She seemed so kind and friendly with them- she interacted with them the way I'd hope someone would interact with my elderly grandparents! I have an astigmatism, and I've been to so many offices where they seem to struggle to find the right fit of contacts for me, but he was able to get ones that fit me perfectly. They are very thorough as well, which I appreciate. I definitely recommend this office. They are great! read more

They truly understand the golden rule and it is apparent in the way they treat each customer how much they truly care about you. Past experiences with other eye care facilities have made me feel like just another patient, but the staff at Inverness Eye Care makes me feel like I have a family member in the business. I cannot say enough good things about Inverness Eye Care!! Dr. Sarah Gordon is exceptional!! She stays abreast of all of the changes and technological advances in ophthalmology. Over the years, I have had numerous issues with my vision. Her persistence and clinical expertise have helped me... When others could not.
