Particularly concerning was the manner in which my mother, the widow, was treated throughout the process. Rather than feeling supported during an already difficult and emotional time, she was frequently made to feel as though her questions and concerns were unreasonable. The experience left us feeling dismissed, unheard, and without the transparency we believed was necessary to understand the administration of the estate. Over the course of this matter, repeated efforts were made to obtain information and seek clarification. We also attempted to contact senior members and partners of the firm regarding our concerns, yet our requests for communication went unanswered. We were further troubled by the substantial professional fees charged to the estate. As family members attempting to understand the financial administration of the estate, we sought greater detail and transparency regarding these costs and their supporting documentation. I fully recognize that estate administration can be complex and that legal professionals owe duties to their clients. However, I believe that professionalism, transparency, responsiveness, and respectful communication should remain fundamental, particularly when dealing with grieving families navigating an unfamiliar legal process. She is, without a doubt, the worst lawyer I have encountered -- not just in Montreal, but possibly all of Canada. Natacha Calixte caused more harm to my file than the divorce itself. Her inexperience and incompetence created enormous stress, and she made unforgivable mistakes -- the kind that even a first-year law student would know to avoid. Natacha Calixte never answers the phone and refuses to communicate any other way than email. Expect to send 20 emails a day just to clarify simple points that could be resolved in a 5-minute call. It's inefficient, frustrating, and completely unprofessional. In court, she did the worst, all wrong, stuttering, and completely unable to respond to the opposing lawyer. I felt embarrassed. Me.
