Stopped here on a road trip and was genuinely impressed. This has to be one of the nicest truck stops I've ever visited. Everything was clean, well maintained, and there was plenty of parking available. What really sets this place apart is how much it offers. There are countless food options, a large gas station, and even amenities you wouldn't expect like a chiropractor, dentist, movie theater, and museum. It truly feels like a one stop destination where you can take care of just about anything while traveling. This truck stop lives up to its billing of being the World's Largest Truck Stop. This place is huge and amazing. You can get gas here. Then inside is like a mini-mall. They have a food court with a Dairy Queen/Orange Julius, Wendy's, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut Express, all with seating. They also have a truck parts store, tourist souvenirs, convenience store items, clothes, and custom truck parts. The place was really clean, especially considering how many people go through there. You will find an actual tractor-trailer truck in the auto parts section of the truck stop. There are a lot of photo ops here at the truck stop, including the tractor-trailers and other vehicles inside, and murals and antique gas pumps outside. There is also a truck museum across the parking lot that is free to visit, but is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. I came here on a Monday, so of course it was closed. If you are coming into or leaving Iowa, this is a must-stop. This place is amazing and has just about everything. The staff there was very friendly too. We were in need of a pit stop on a road trip and wanted to stop at our favorite place. Like an oasis in the desert the billboard signs began to appear and soon enough we had arrived! This place has everything. Gift shops, a sit down restaurant, a truckers museum, showers, a barber, chiropractor, dentist, and laundry. In addition, there are several fast food spots in the food court like Wendy's, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen, Starbucks, plus rows of supermarket fares. If you are really in a hurry they have a grab'n go area with coffee, soft drinks, sandwiches, snacks and the like at the front, upper level. Restrooms are located on the upper level at the front of the building. Across from the food court. Two family bathrooms are available. Shopping: home decor, gifts, clothes, toys, travel needs, vehicle needs, so much shopping. The interior is on three levels, about a half flight down/up eaxh, front to back. A wheelchair ramp connects front to middle, an elevator connects middle to rear for those who need assistance. Upstairs are showers and laundry facilities. A customer service desk on the middle level will help you out with those. Fuel: A BP gas station is on site, across the street from the main building. Tesla and Chargepoint EV stations are toward the back of the campus, past the gas station. The propert also includes a museum and a dog park to give your pup a break. Happy motoring. read more

We drove past this spot on our way to Illinois. We found out that my sister-in-law made the trip (a 3-hour drive each way!) and said it was worth her time, so we decided to stop in on our way home. It was.... Wooooow. I never thought I would say I have a favorite truck stop but this is it! It's a huge mall inside complete with market, food court, restaurants, clothing, toys, souvenirs, and a whole section dedicated to truck parts and repairs. There's even a printing and embroidery station. I wanted to buy a hoodie with the American flag on it, but sizes started at 2xl. My husband found some squeaky Lambchop dog toys our girls are crazy about. Outside in a separate building near the exit is some sort of museum. We were there too early to check it out but I am curious enough to Google it later. Overall, I am not sure I will ever be on a roadtrip again to return, but I highly recommend everyone to check this place out, even if to just potty and stretch their legs. There's waaaay too much to look at when you're there! My eyes darted left and right from the moment I stepped in. I love the fact that they have such large trucks inside of the building. There's even a museum, but we didn't get a chance to check that out because we came at like 10PM. The people there were super nice and helpful. We definitely appreciated that. They were also fun to just chat with while we looked around. My husband and I found about a dozen things we wanted to buy this instant, but we were mindful and only got a few of them this visit. We will come back again, we know it. The I-80 Kitchen is definitely worth trying. We missed out on the buffet (bummer!), but we decided to grab a bite anyway. My husband got the streak and mashed potatoes (we split the side salad) and I ordered the Southwest Skillet. We were quite pleased with our choices and left extremely full and happy. They have all the amenities truckers need here too; showers, laundry, massage chairs, movie theaters, small library, dentist, chiropractor, truck wash, dog wash, and dog park. This time I just picked up a T-shirt, but it is full of any products, you can imagine all kinds of treatsand several restaurants including a sit down place if that's what you're looking for. I was with a friend going across the country and we drove past here so we had to stop in since it's the world's largest truck stop. The size of this place is absolutely insane. From the outside it looks small but when you're inside it just goes and goes and goes. You could fit an entire sheets just inside of their restaurant which also has a buffet. There are three sections of gift shops. This place is absolutely massive. If you've ever gone to a Buc-ee's this place is bigger. We enjoyed the buffet the food was good and plentiful. The shopping is what you would expect, nothing you can't find somewhere else and overpriced. But you'll probably buy something anyway. read more

Never have I ever Yelp reviewed a truck stop... until now! I've reached unparalleled heights in life, ladies and gents. And what better truck stop than the world's largest off I-80? I actually fueled up my gas tank and got mixed up with the traffic pattern, exiting the truck stop, and then had to turn around bc I wanted to mosey on inside to see what lay ahead inside! (I'm so JV, I know.) ... The answer is a movie theater, laundromat, pet wash, showers, work out room, dentist, barber (I didn't go to that floor though), and tons of trinkets and souvenirs for adults and kids alike. Of special note is the wide selection of name specific tchotchkes, like solar powered keychains, personalized books, and mini plushy bears. Oh yes, all the standard snacks and drinks that a convenience store would offer are here too. Somehow, I ended up putzing around in here for 30 min and left $38 lighter with souvenirs for my minis. Couple more notes: the bathrooms are decently clean, there's a truck museum next door, and the food court is extensive (Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, Caribou coffee, Einstein's, and more)! read more

We stopped at I-80 Truckstop at Walcott, Iowa for a rest room break and snacks on a road trip. Having never been here before I now realize this was a wrong thing to do. As a sr citizen with ambulating issues the rest rooms are buried a football field & a half deep into the building from the front entrance. Not suitable for me! On the way back from the facilities it took 3 times to stop and relax my back so I could make it back to the vehicle? Just damn well forget to find any thing to drink or eat in the other direction. All I walked past was junk souvenirs and fuzzies. Why not have the restrooms located at the front of the building? It's an overrated carnival show in my opinion. read more

I stopped her just to get a cat scale weigh so it wasn't long. The price was $14.75 which is not a bad price. There is plenty of parking here and it's super clean. The cashiers are super nice at least the ones I interacted with during my checkout process. I would love to park here one day overnight. read more

What an absolute hoot to stop here. As a casual tourist moving through the area, this is the rest stop of all rest stops. Full restaurant. A floor that feels as big as Costco with tchotchkes galore, snacks and even car/truck parts. If you're a truck driver, they have everything from a dentist on hand to showers. read more

This is a massive truck stop, so large that it alters the traffic patters off the highway (the on ramps to the highway have a longer than average length to help trucks merge onto the highway). This truck stop is like a little village in one building. The entrance that caters to people who arrive in cars dumps you into a large shop with gifts and sundries, but also has an attached food court. If you walk beyond the food court, there is a buffet with home cooked food. If you proceed beyond that, then you get to the business end of the store, which caters to truckers. There is a wide selection of accessories, truck parts, and even beds. I was amazed at the variety of items, some of which I didn't even know existed. Upstairs, there is a barber, gym, dentist, showers, and more. There is also a free museum near by, Iowa 80 Trucking Museum, but unfortunately it was closed when I visited. The truck stop is a huge gift Shope if everything from a barbershop to a movie theater at this place is crazy and it keeps going and going and going. One of the best things my wife loved was the cheese curds that you could buy from a local dairy those were amazing. My kids enjoyed looking around at the big trucks and accessories and they also had a old-school truck museum, which had about 100 trucks in here going back as far as like the 1800s. The museum itself was free. Great place to stop you know if your kids look around you no regrets. read more

I came to Iowa on a work trip last week of September and checked out the biggest truck stop. I guess this a must tourist attraction and I am not a trucker or not a truck lover, but I was blown away how big this struck stop was. When I first walked in you will see Fun Facts on the wall entrance. My favorite fun fact on the wall is that Interstate 80 is the second LONGEST interstate in the U.S. 2900 miles from Teaneck, New Jersey to San Francisco, CA. Snacks galore everywhere!!! There are showers, a theatre, Barber shop, dentist, public laundry, Chiropractor, and lastly a restaurant. Down the steps you will see all kind of things for cars and of course a super truck showroom. This place is great place for a rest stop!!! read more

Apparently this is the world's largest truck stop. It is quite large. You don't need a truck to stop here. You can stop with your car, it's fine. The sheer size of this complex is something to behold. You could fit at least 3...maybe 4 or 5 Buc-ee's on the ground that it covers. Insane. It has an energy all its own as well as lots of restrooms, probably the world's most diverse selection of gas station snacks and drinks, a damned food court where a variety of fast food joints have just set up shop as if it's no big deal to do so in what is effectively a gas station...I could go on. The whole thing is baffling. Like walking into Circus Circus in Fear and Loathing. An experience to say the least. Anything you need on your road tripping adventures, they have it. If you don't need anything, stop just to experience the largest gas station that I have ever seen. There's also a museum of tractor trailer trucks across the parking lot. I didn't go to it. Well, after not having the internet for about a week, due to some issues with the internet lines, I am back to reliving some memories and writing this blog. It was a coooolllddddd November day when my friends and I decided to make a trip up to Iowa for a fun day of freezing, exploring and experiencing the grip of winter. Our first stop was the WORLD'S LARGEST TRUCK STOP! Now I have heard from quite a few on how massive it was. Well, it is truly worth of the title of WORLD'S LARGEST. The place is more than a truck stop. I think it has a small city's worth of amenities inside. Barber, dentist, laundromat, food, truck parts, truck service, souvenir shop, bathrooms, church... It literally has it all. There is even a nearby museum. We didn't get to check it out, as we were on our way to the Davenport Skybridge, Rhythm City Casino and Isle of Capri Casino. Overall, it was a pretty cool place to see. We spent about an hour there, just amazed at all the things it housed. If you are in the area, it's worth a stop to check it out. Maybe even go a bit out of the way to check it out. It's not every day that you get to see one of the WORLD'S LARGEST things! read more

We recently visited on the way to and from Chicago. The kids were impressed with the variety of merchandise and food selection. There is an extended assortment of fresh food, as well as souvenirs for nearby areas, toys, necessities, bath& body, etc. There's also an a lower level dedicated to truckers and the needs that they have for their vehicles and their jobs. There is a food court with a variety of fast food, as well as a sit-down restaurant with a buffet. Overall, we fulfilled a variety of needs by stopping here so it is a good one stop shop for for the needs of a traveler. read more

Truly the largest Truckstop in the world! It is three supersized stores in one!! Fast food restaurants, grocery store, convenience store, gift shop, chiropractor, showers, theater all in one! Very impressive! Definitely lived up to the marketing hype that you see on the side of the road. It was decently clean as we toured. We found some unique souvenirs to buy and take home. Had a dinner there and went exploring. We easily spent 1.5 hours there and could have spent an other hour if we tried. The fast food restaurants were Wendy's, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Caribou Coffee Einstein Bagels, etc. they also have their own brand restaurant with a buffet. Bathrooms were extremely smelly and smelled all the way out to the toy area where every child was. There were family restrooms that were very helpful to have for young families. I don't think the restrooms are upkept as often as they should be. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Would MAYBE come back to give the kids another experience. But it's really a one and done, seen it done it. It was a very high trafficked area. read more

It's trucking huge! If you're not a trucker, you may be wondering what the interest is, but this place is kind of amazing. It feels like one person's passion project, but it really is an interesting retail establishment. Firstly, it's huge. It's three floors Secondly, they have a little of everything going on. There is a dentist, chiropractor, snacks, chrome shop, lights, CB radios, all kinds of custom and OEM truck parts, services, truck wash, gas station, service station, multiple restaurants, bathrooms, a mini movie theater, and more. There is a surprising number of fast food outlets in a large food court. They also have their own restaurant, which I didn't try. Also, there is a huge outbuilding with a museum of trucking in it, which I also didn't check out. If I'm ever in the area (or within 2 hours' drive) I will go back if only to sample their restaurant and the museum. There's a few giftshop areas in the front of the building, some things are a little overpriced, but others are pretty reasonable. I enjoyed this as an offbeat attraction but there are people coming through who see this as an oasis! Pro tip: I avoided the crowds at the main floor bathrooms and went upstairs to a nearly empty bathroom near the Trucker's Theater. read more

This was an amazing experience.. it was like being in the mall.. but a TRUCK STOP... 3 floors, dentist & chiropractor offices, barber, workout room, a food court with 5 or 6 National Fast Food Restaurants (including EINSTEIN's BAGLES?!?), a dine-in restaurant, a game room, a THEATER, tv lounge, a quiet area for kids to play or read accessible books, free wifi.. nice showers & laundry area... and lots of shops (like a boot and hat shop) and awesome little knick-knacks & souvenirs.. cars & truck AND 2 BIG RIGS on display... Besides the food/snacks and picking up souvenirs, you can shop for accessories and parts for your truck; shop for gifts; workout in their workout room; get your back cracked with the chiropractor; wash yourself at their private showers; catch up on work in their library; watch a movie in their movie theatre; do some laundry; socialize and watch TV in their Driver Den; wash your dog in their Dogomat; get your teeth checked at their dental office; and, get your truck's weight at the scale. This places sells a lot of stuff that nobody needs which seems very touristy and wasteful, but it has clean bathrooms and is a nice stop to break up a road trip to walk around a bit. I am not a trucker, but I expect this is probably one of the coolest truckstops I have ever been to. In addition to gas, diesel, car/truck services and washes you'll find extensive shopping for everything you never knew you needed! In business since the early 1960s, this is Americana at its best. Once you finish gassing up and looking around, check out the museum behind the truck stop to learn a little bit about trucking and the area in general. This particular location hosts an annual truckers festivals. That span several days with the last pre-pandemic festival attracting over 40,000 participants. This location has also served over 18 million eggs and 3,000,000 cups of coffee since they've started their business. Food services, both take out and sit down are available, as well as plenty of caffeine to get any driver back onto the road. Showers and services such as Dental and a barbershop are also conveniently located to help anyone in need. Clean, fun, and economical. You should definitely try to make this a pitstop along I 80. read more

I was staying in the area doing some museums and I saw the world's biggest truck stop so I had to stop over and check them out. The place is huge and kinda like a mall with a huge food court. They have a full service restaurant with a decent looking buffet. They offer electric vehicle charge stations, barber shop, scale, chiropractor, convenience store, custom accessories truck shop, dentist, pet bath, driver den, fuel center, gift shop, laundromat, library, movie theater, private showers, truck showroom, truck service center, truck wash, exercise room and room for 900 trucks. The whole car parking lot was full and I had to park on the very end because the place was completely packed it's literally a destination stop for truckers and non truckers and they have a free truck museum next door. As a non-trucker, it was cool to see this little almost-city and all of the amenities that it offers truckers.
