Visited this one on my way into Davenport, the one thing I will say about Loves is it's more than just gas, It's a convenient store with plenty of auto trucker type items as well. The gas is high quality. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff were keeping things stocked and clean. They also had some fresh cut fruit, which was a nice change of pace instead of regular junk food. They also usually have some type of hot food available, whether it's a restaurant that's part of it or a hot sandwich cold sandwich area.They have a consistent product. There's plenty of trucker services from showers to qas and parking That was adequate for the truckers and for vehicles. read more

I stopped here planning to get gas but the way the staff acted made me leave instead. When I walked in, the man at the front desk refused to look up or greet me. I said hello and he only mumbled. I went to the restroom and within 30 seconds every male employee came in one after another, hovering around, looking under stalls, and watching me as if I was there to steal something. When I walked out, none of them were around. At the counter, the female employee stared at me until I looked at her and said hello. Only then did she respond. It is absolutely their right to profile. I am sure theft is an issue here and maybe I fit the profile. I could not care less about the reasoning. What matters is that it was done to me, and I would be a fool to spend money at a place where I am treated that way. read more

Very disappointed with my experience at Loves Travel Stop in Davenport, IA. I lost a bracelet worth $400 in the shower area. When I reported it to the manager, instead of checking the cameras, he told me there was 'no need' to review the footage. I have appreciated Love's over the years for their clean rest rooms, dog parks (or areas), and great coffee, to name a few things. I now have another reason. The Love's outside Davenport, IA was my last stop before arriving home in Illinois. Once home, I couldn't find the spare set of car keys, so I called Lowe's to see if keys had been turned in. Cory was so helpful in that search, and while she was hunting, of course I found them in the no-man's-land between the passenger seat and the center console. However skip this location if you are in a hurry, Front counter left unattended, just as I was about to walk away someone shows up, no greeting no apology for the wait. Went over to Arby's, I've never seen a slower group, luckily I was the only customer. My breakfast sandwich was made before the potatoes were even dropped in the bay, so the sandwich was put in a bag and left sitting on the counter getting cold for the full cooking time of the potatoes Looks like a management issue since the whole store seems off. read more

While driving through, my boyfriend and I were getting low on gas and saw Love's Travel Stop and decided to stop there. We got gas at Love's Travel Stop and the prices were average. After pumping gas, I used the restroom which was nice and clean. Definitely one of the better gas station bathrooms that I have been in. I bought a beef stick and some Skittles and received good service from the gas station attendant. Pretty decent place to stop! read more

I will never step foot in that place. (Truck care department) Roger Munn is the most rude manager I've ever seen. I spent 3 hours there trying to get a tire replaced. I was the only customer there it still took me 3 hours. 3 guys at the front desk laughing go outside smoking cigarettes went to the store get drinks. There is a reason I love to stop at Love's Travel Centers when I am on the road. They are always conveniently located just off a major freeway with easy access both on and off. They sell their gas at low prices. They have clean restrooms. The women's room at this location has an upright mirror that can be used to see oneself from head to toe and a Koala fold out diaper changing station. There are a number of healthy food items including a variety of fresh fruits (apples, bananas). They carry a great selection of drinks in the refrigerated case, six different favors of coffee and a fountain that offers Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke, Diet Dr. Pepper, and Diet Mountain Dew. The fountain also offers 'flavor blasts', syrups favors like vanilla and cherry that you can use to spice your sodas up a little. They also carry some clothing items, jewelry, DVDs, electronic cords and chargers, mad automotive electronics. I bought a Power Drive on sale (and with a rebate, to boot) which plugs into a car's lighter and provides power via two outlets and a USB port. I've been using one that belongs to my friends to charge my iPad and iPhone in the car and love it! I chatted with the workers while I waited for one of them to find the key to unlock the Power Drive from its display and get the rebate form and they were all very friendly. One was particularly friendly and was giving us tips on where we should eat dinner. Unfortunately for us. The restaurant he was recommending was farther away from the interstate than we really wanted to drive, but it was really nice of him to take the time to suggest it and draw me a map of how to get here. There's an Arby's attached to the convenience store, but we were looking for more of a sit down dinner experience. (Try out the Machine Shed just across the freeway if you've got the time) Convenient location, low prices, friendly workers, a variety of food and beverage items (they were running specials on these), and friendly helpful employees - what more could you ask for? Have stopped here many times, tried telling them the water coming out of the faucets in the bathroom is either freezing cold out of one side and really hot out of the others, multiple times. Last night was the same. Then the staff was really slow and didn't seem to interested in waiting on customers. Waited awhile at arby's to even get my order taken.
